Melody Day is one of the most talented girl groups out there. They were known for their OST's and once they started doing idol songs their popularity decreased.

i actually felt sad when boyfriend come on it, the fact that they look so exhausted and no confidence breaks my heart. their dances used to be my favorite before but idk what happened now. maybe they lacked the confidence thats why.
ThatLittleGirl they waited for 12-13 hours and shot at like 1/2 am.... I mean I would be tired af too if I had to be on standby for THAT long without any sleep

Honestly Boyfriend sold 40,000 albums on their recent comeback this year even after such a long hiatus. I think that's really great. I think if Starship just invest in them more and make the right move they can definitely regain their popularity they had before. Lots of their fans are still obviously behind them if they can still sell that much album.
I agree. From Starship's perspective, I understand why they would promote Sistar and Monsta X more since they were doing better, but I still wished they put more effort into Boyfriend. They were doing extremely well during debut and received a lot of attention during Janus, but I feel like Starship really dropped the ball once they started performing in Japan. Their Japanese promotions were a huge success, but they didn't really do much in South Korea after mid 2014 (aside from On & On and Bounce which was barely promoted or performed) until they appeared on the Unit. I wish their career could have pan out better.

They only performed in Japan for the last two years which made them lose their popularity in Korea. They came back recently with a new song which was called Star.
Tbh, i wasn’t surprised that Rockhyun got in. Rockhyun is very talented! There is actual a video of him jogging on a treadmill while singing high notes. Good luck to him on The Unit! 💪🏼

Meloday Day is a 4 member girl group under Cre.ker Entertainment, so yes this girls are a former senior group of THE BOYZ.

Even now I don't know why I keep watching this clip over and over again if it breaks my heart every time I watch it. I am a Bestfriend even if Boyfriend as a group no longer exists. I enjoyed every performance they did, but I'd rather they be happy doing what they really want to do. I love and support them no matter what.
100% did so well, as did Boyfriend. It's upsetting that Boyfriend didn't get higher results.
I mean I know it was a big call to not pass 3 of the 4 boyfriend members but honestly they just didnt seem to enjoy themselves in the performance. I know they had to perform very late but in the auditions you have to absolutely nail it and show that you enjoy what you are doing. I know NUEST were just as bad during their introductory stage but you have to realise that if you flop during the auditions you were out the door. I understand that people wanted a NUEST-like revival from Boyfriend but they just couldn't deliver when it counted the most.That's on them.

I was disappointed in Boyfriend's performance. They couldve done better but its ok, they are tired and lack confidence. They need hope. I kind of wish Jeongmin got in instead...but Donghyun fighting!

i am not satisfied with the results that boyfriend got. The other contestants who were not even as good as them were selected just by acting cute stuffs and all they were selected. the judges didnt realized how much of them are talented!
The reason why they didn't chose the whole member is because they lack of confidence and maybe mentally kinda not ready for the fierce competition. But that's why they chose Donghyun to be their representative. The judges know that they are talented enough to join The Unit.
nipsung rae you could clearly see that they lacked confidence even tho they are talented and they selected all the others who acted cute and stuff because they have the charms and charisma to be in an idol group because if you don’t stand out it doesn’t help your group at all
Yes the competition here was really fierce, that's why charisma is so important, contestants need to make everyone love them

The judges are professionals and they did mention the reason why only Donghyun was chosen. Its confidence. In idol world u might not be extremely talented, but if you have charisma and showed confidence u will be more well liked. Unfair but true. Talent or skills is sth u can learn but charisma or confidence is sth that is natural... And in idol world, charisma is very important. Nobody wants to watch a talented idol if he or she is not confident towards what he or she is capable of.
Boyfriend looked so DOWN and low energy level ( i mean like ya they did wait for very long to perform but if u compare them to the energetic perf by hotshot who also performed last u can clearly tell the diff). No hate but they just didnt look like they enjoyed the performance and in viewers pov, its rather tiring to see the performers themselves not enjoying what theyre doing.
Happy to see Chahee and the other members of Melody Day is still there fighting hope they could get the inspiration they need in this show too bad yein isnt there with them

Joy Muchtar their company did them dirty. clearly they said ppl were getting disinterested bcuz they didn't have comeback for too long, after going to this show n all members did pretty well... the company never made use of that interest they regained to give them comeback to follow up... while keep giving comebacks to The Boyz. MelodyDay only got one release... with a really good song... but not promoted in music show. their company seriously sucked.
