    Stumbled upon your videos recently, and i’m loving it, I do have to say that Filipinos do tend to be a bit nicer to foreigners than fellow Filipinos but that applies to a small group and for the most part, people are nice. I look forward to you coming back. And there’s a lot of hidden places to discover, as someone who stayed for years in makati and BGC. great vlogs, simple and genuine, I love it!

I hope to see more of your videos in other places. Thank you also for appreciating what we have in the Philippines, as you see around, Philippines is developing much in few time, everything will be fine. By the way, Philippines was part of the USA before from 1898 to 1946 if am not mistaken as the history tells. Americans brought the educational system that we have now, and that's the reason why English is our medium of instructions in school from Elementary to College; although there are some variations of vernacular and Filipino languages but the official language for Government and offices functions is in English. I hope you are at home in the Philippines and you can make it your Second home. Again, welcome, and God bless your way to the next journey!

    Re: Food. Mate you ate most of the times in western restaurants of course you will gain weight. If you ate proper Filipino food you won't (in moderation of course) and I don't mean Jollibee, Chowking etc. I mean have you been to Manam? Locavore, Mesa, Romulo's Cafe also in Makati other good Filipino restaurants like there in your backyard Makati Cosmic Poblacion? (vegan) Have you had Sinigang (fish, shrimp etc) Bulalo, Tinola is one of the healthiest food you can have. Monggo? Ampalaya? Have you had Bicolano Dishes? Dig deeper and you will find good healthtly Filipino food!
    How is it that Western countries have high obesity rates and not as much in the PH?
    Thing is Filipinos always cook from scratch for their everyday meal so when they go out on the weekend or payday they choose other kinds of food like Korean, Japanese or Western food for a change. They do not eat western or fast food everyday.
    But thanks for your feedback!
    Enjoy the next country and PH in August! (just remember that will be the monsoon/rainy season)

I missed lots of foods n things back in the 🇺🇸. However I got tired of the rat race that’s why I’m living in the 🇵🇭. Also my money goes a long ways living in the province.
    Zane thanks for coming here in the 🇵🇭. And yes you still have lots of beautiful islands to see when you come back next time. Enjoy your travels and take care.

    It's no wonder that most filipinos can speak english well, and foreigners are held in high esteem most of the time. When you come back in August, it'd be raining all the time. And yes BGC is a safe place where you can live. I think you can even walk there at night without worrying about thieves.

    There are resto there that offer different kinds of veg. U can make salad at home just buy in stores and dressings if u want. Go in tbe gymn once in a while or jogging so u will not gain weight. Avoid soda it will make ur tummy big. I noticed u r fond of drinking it.

      He eats those "unhealthy" food and seems to enjoy them too. If you don't do any physical activity to burn those calories, the added pounds would be the result. I bet if he had taken any similar unhealthy food (of which there are many) in the U.S. or anywhere on the planet, he would have gain the same weight in HALF the time. If it isn't for the crazy hot weather and humidity in the Philippines, Zane would have easily double his gain weight.

    As a Filipino living in Europe i have the freedom to choose the kind of food i want to consume, may it be healthy or not it is up for me to decide. You said that most Filipino food is unhealthy, well maybe they are (you'll find them all over the world). And when you are body conscious you should take your hands off them and maybe pick the lighter ones. Americans love to eat burgers and fries and they're maybe unhealthy to some but who cares? Nobody forces anyone to eat them. We only live once and we must enjoy it to the fullest, regardless of what we eat.

    Philippines is a developing country, and moving here for good is not easy for a foreigner, you need to ADJUST, ADAPT, and ACCEPT our culture, food, people and weather ( 2 weather hot and very hot 😂) Philippine door is always open to those who wants to explore the country. Another thing Filipino really like to support foreign vloggers. Thank you so much for staying in my beloved country. Be safe and God bless ❤️

    • @miguelbalisi9952
      @miguelbalisi9952 Рік тому +5

      I'd say again with the very hot weather, add to that the slow-paced transactions or dealings with offices or places that you may have not experienced yet, the can be-unbearable rooster noise and the dogs barking in the countryside, are just few of the many negatives that needs tons and non-stop patience from foreigners eyeing to stay in the country for at least a long period of time. This may sound discouraging but it would take away the possible frustration a foreigner may have in the end. I feel your honesty and straightforward review of the Philippines based on your experience. Being honest deserves support more than some vloggers who may have sugar-coated their findings of the Philippines, especially if you don't hear some negatives. But negatives said nicely not in a brutal sense.

    • @miguelbalisi9952
      @miguelbalisi9952 Рік тому +2

      @Ruperto Gonzales no, it's to make them aware that the Philippines also have a lot of negatives "THAT MAY" surprise or frustrate them, but this one seems open-minded. It's a matter of KNOWING HOW to read between the lines, and BEING positive, Ruperto, obviously, you took my comment negatively. But this vlogger needs support because HE KNOWS HOW to read between the lines.

      Thailand is hotter than the Philippines but most foreigners have no trouble adjusting there. Things are just more efficient. Don’t blame it on the weather

    • @elainelim2569
      @elainelim2569 Рік тому +2

      Did I blame the weather??? I just stating the fact that Philippines weather is hot, also if you're coming from a cold weather, I'm just advising them to accept and adapt because it is what it is.. Philippine weather, food, culture and people doesn't adjust to them. I don't like foreigner coming here and start complaining and comparing Philippines to other countries.

    It's true. Food not so healthy. My sisters came home for just two weeks and I grew fat right away cause I was eating all the time. I think if you want healthy food you're just gonna have to prepare it for yourself. There's not really a lack of ingredients for healthy food as there are wet markets that you can go to and buy vegies and non pork meats. There was a couple vloggers here during the pandemic who had decided to stay in Siargao since it was too expensive at that time to get out of the country. They've maintained being lean and slim during their stay because they cooked for themselves. They went to the market themselves to do their groceries. They didn't rely on others to take care of them that's why they were eating healthy foods all the time.

    You should eat those "karendaya" or Canteen to eat healthy food. In Restautaurant they serve International food because it classy for Filipino. Native food in the Philippines like Sinigang, Nilaga (it's my favorite) Langka, Pakbet, Laing, Monggo. And Many Ginisa dishes etc. (you can seach those) You will find this in Karenderya. It's healthy. (First time I comment here) Thank uou for honest. Say what you want. We like hearing bad comments. Just honest opinon rather than faking it to catch all of us

    Most Filipinos here cook from scratch and when they do it they have vegetables on their meals like Chopsuey, Adobong Kangkong or Sitaw, Monggo Beans, Sinigang, Pakbet, Tortang talong. You need not to eat on Fast foods and Restaurants because not only it is unhealthy and it is also expensive especially if you do it daily. If you really want to stay healthy in the Philippines, you must have a strong resolve to keep track on your budget and be firm on the foods you want to eat.

    If you are coming back in August, it would be the peak of monsoon season so expect it to be very wet by then. Healthy or even vegan food is not very common but I recommend Corner Tree Cafe vegan place there in Makati. BGC is the most expensive place in the entire Philippines definitely. Quezon City is cheaper if you want to stay in the Manila area and near lots of good vlog-worthy places. Trifate is there and has given them lots of content in their vlog

You will go a long way in familiarizing how Filipinos interacts to you especially with a good looking guy like you. Just take those unexpected interactions with just a laughter.
