The PPS-43 was not a Shpagin weapon. Shpagin did the PPSh-41. The Pistolet Puleymot Sudayev was a Tokarev based weapon designed by Sudayev, designated the PPS-43.
Excellent episode!!! I agree that bullpup's design was way ahead of its time. Look how relatively simple and ingenious the internals are! Bolt carrier and a short-stroke gas piston!
The Walther Karabiner at 4:13 is actually a bolt-action carbine with a simplified bolt (probably based on the Mauser system). The sample captured by the Allies lost its bolt for some reasons. W. Darrin Weaver's Desperate Measures has a detailed specification on it. By the way, when the German Ordnance Department was searching for a replacement for the MP44 ,the suggested that the new assault rifle should use a blowback system because rifles based on this system were easier to manufacture than those gas-operated ones. However by calculation,if the rifle used a simple or pure blowback system, the bolt would be around 1.5kg which was unacceptable. Therefore, those German last-ditch rifles usually worked on a delay-blowback system.
Dude I just checked your channel art, you changed it recently, I had no idea that you are a fellow anime fan as well as a gun otaku, what a coincidence. Plus... I take it you like Squid girl.
That my friend is because it was designed after the AK, just like all the other's that resemble a Kalashnikov rifle was the successful design that they all tried to copy to sort of get on the bandwagon so to speak.
Lary Mayotte DUDE THE AK47 WAS AFTER THAT GUN AND THERE ARE OTHER GUNS FROM LIKE 1910s THAT LOOKED LIKE THE AK GOD WHY IS EVERYONE OBSESSED WITH THE AK
@@mordicai-cq1cr Because idiots think that gas operated rifles with gas tube over the barrel came only during 1940s,while already about 20 years before they made such, also we still have several machine guns with similar design like SHKAS aviation gun, etc.
I really enjoyed your video, you made 10 excellent choice. I have a couple suggestions that I think would improve your channel. You need to familiarize yourself with common firearms terms, for example.30 is stated as 30 caliber. You should research foreign pronunciations, you’ll sound a lot more knowledgeable and the people that quote you will sound better too.
The reason I say this is because you don't try to make an unsuccessful design work, by so many people who tried the design before you AK47. It would be more than likely that the others where attempts to create a machine gun by trying to copy a successful rifle like the AK47. than it is for Kalashnikov to copy failed rifle designs. There for it is MORE THAN LIKELY THE AK47 CAME FIRST, AND OTHERS COPIED IT. ......LOL@COMMONCENTS

just for the record PPSh is not pronounced pi-pi-es-eich, it should be pi-pi-sha. cuz the english langue dont have a russian letter Ш (Sh - eng. pron), the developers last name (Shpagin) is in the name of the gun. Dont be mislead by PPS, cuz its SMG developed by another man, his last name was Simonov. Also for FYI, pi-pi stands for russian verson of smg abbreviation, Пистолет-пулемет (Pistolet-Pulemet - eng. pron), just for the future =)
What i read all liie bren like Guns are made lisens or be copy of Z28. That was kept one of the best LMG. German used is for eniten units head support gun too what i know.
Prilutsky, of course!!! Fantastic!! .... considering 1944 year, those silly assholes made such a great mistake, diclining this thing!! Prilutsky would be the greatest genuis up to this days, even greater than Kalashnikov! He made his "shtayer" more earlier than Austrians did! And it seems to be more simplier than austrian's!!
Alright, I'll do my best. Er - Eric, but exclude everything else except Er-, and pronounce it like you would normally. kki- Khaki, but exclude the kha- in the beginning, and pronounce it like you would normally. Lil - Say it like the slang lil for little. ja - Yatch, but exclude -tch, and pronounce it like you would normally. Hope this helps. Make a video trying to pronounce it and I'll give you my opinion on how you did, because the Finnish language is often super hard for any non-Finnish speaker, unless they have been learning and practising it for a fairly long time.

He doesn't have a fucking clue lol "beefed up ppsh-41" literally impossible but ok, there is very little chance it is straight blowback.

BigHaas that is a futurist version of the stg44

there's a Hyde m2 smg in .45acp. and it's why the thompson was the m1 the Hyde was the m2 and the m3 was the grease gun

The PPS-43 was made by Sudayev, who also made the AS-44 before he died.
Do you have any experience behind a real firearm ?
Sorry to rain on your parade, but Shpagin did not design the PPS-43, Sudayev did.
Well you got your wish. Sledgehammer added it to Cod Vanguard for season 1 it seems.
I believe you have mistaken which came first, and there for the others where influenced by the AK47 and the AK was not influenced by the others.

we don’t need prototype weapons in cod ww2 we need a real gun that was actually used like the m1919 browning lmg
Wut about the sterling l2a3, volkssturmgewher, and the proto x1. (Idk if these are real or just from cod ww2).
