I know I'm from America and we do it differently. But something to maybe bring up there to make it more Interesting to watch. We as puller here have a full pull mark yes, but we don't have our end flager stop the pullers when they pass the full pull. We let them leave it wide open until the truck or tractor has stopped by the sled not by letting out regardless if they pull it to the parking lot, we cheer if they can do that and out rules let them try and drag it back to there trailers if they can, it makes it more fun. I don't see how yall tell 1st 2nd 3rd and so on. If they pass full pull that's all the distance is, is a full pull? Our full pull is just letting drivers know this is the end but pull as far as you can without letting out on the throttle. We don't get flagged to stop when the officials say. We keep going and let the sled do its job. Just something to think about. If I pulled there I'm not stopping. All or nothing, put on a show. Thanks
We have different rules in different countrys. In Germany we have 100 Meters (approx. 330 ft.) for a full pull. You have 2 attempts to get it. Every Tractor with a Full Pull has the chance to pull again in the finals. In the finals the sled is getting heavier and the full pull is at 110 Meters (approx. 360 ft.). So we let the tractors go. But if 2 or more tractors get over 110m there will be a second final. But that doesn`t happen very often. In the Netherlands they´ll have some other rules. Full Pull is still 100 Meters but they have one attempt. But if there are only 2 tractors with full pull and the others are over 80 Meters the 2 best tractors over 80 Meters but under 100 Meters will join the finals. So they have 4 finalists in every class. If more than 4 tractors hit a full pull of course every tractor gets its final place. The track director can also decide to run the whole class under "floating finish" rules (it happens in case of rain or they´re running out of time). It means every tractor has one attempt and they drive till the end (like in the US).
