My mom has been making similar snacks like this for us for years. However, she doesn't use baking soda/powder so they're a bit denser and if they're available, she adds shredded coconut. It's so delicious and simple. They don't even need a glaze if you add more bananas and a little sugar.
Funny thing me and my wife literally made these an hour before you posted this. Ours we’re gluten free. Love the videos Alix keep them coming, you are our favorite tasty person.

this is so similar to our traditional banana fritter balls at home in Indonesia, we call it Godok - basically it's just mashed banana, sugar, and flour (self-rising) mixed together and fried. Great afternoon tea snack~!

We in Malaysia call this banana fritter, usually, we used more bananas in the recipe (banana > flour) and add some sugar so that we can eat it as it is (no dipping needed) and some salt to taste. but definitely gonna try this recipe with yogurt and the cream cheese dipping.
