    Small FPV drones using the DJI O3 are not easy to get by. But in this video we will introduce the Eagle 1 from YMZFPV, a relatively new FPV brand bringing this 2" freestyle FPV drone to the market. Is it good? Would this be the next small drone in your collection?

      heY@@NordFPV what exactly do you need to mod for walksnail to fit with avatar pro camera ? I was thinking about buying analog version and conert it to walksnail to fly during the night i thought it will be a simple swap ?

      The analog and the O3 version are very different. I eyed a bit the analog version and it has less space than the HD to fit anything differently. I have not made the mod yet but in the HD version the most important part is the camera mount.

    I got my Jitterbug O3 build down to 90 grams. I know the Odonata can get down to around 60 grams. Both 2". The protection on this quad is probably the selling factor, but just seems too heavy.

      Hi. I couldn't find the name, but someone on the comments had it right. Yes, you can buy it as a spare, on their website, and you can find it in other places. Also, you don't always need to have exactly the same AIO if you ever have the problem.

    I saw a review of a different drone by this company. A starship x1. It flew like a little beast 🤯 with 03 unit. I definitely had to have it. It has prop guards and should be good for me as a beginner also 😁 i ordered it a few hrs ago. I am in Buffalo NY. I definitely suggest getting some of those in a shop if you have one. I think they will sell. I got the 03 unit and elrs. Came to $470 with the GPS unit i also ordered. I am new to fpv but coming from dji mini 3 pro. Flew that for a year. I built 2 other fpv so far but haven't gotten too far. About ready to try goggles. Got integras 😁 i am able too hook them to mini 3 pro and should get some practice with that first. Love the protection on that drone. None of that in fpv. I thought about getting a sensor and hooking to I2C 😉 great video man 😁 i hope it goes well

    it's interesting but looks very heavy. A slight blip of throttle in your video and you got a low battery warning. Also in your video it seems to fly quite slow and looks to perform like a heavy drone. Maybe a naked o3 option would perform better.

      @NordFPV  8 місяців тому +1

  • @kurtzFPV
    @kurtzFPV 8 місяців тому

    Really cool little drone, but I personally would not be willing to pay for the fully built, or the one built without the 03. I would pay the price they list for the pro frame though if I wanted a 2", and use my own components. That's just me though, and others might feel differently. I'd love to see the same frame made for 3.5 inch. No props in view and a top mounted battery is great as well.

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  8 місяців тому +1

      I haven’t done the calculations, but if you chose good parts won’t you end up in a similar price?

    • @kurtzFPV
      @kurtzFPV 8 місяців тому

      @@NordFPV From the price on their website, they wanted US$244 for the drone without rx or 03 and $32.80 for the pro frame only. Aside from the fact that I already have components I could put in, similar motors can be purchased where I live for $45 a set and I would just go with a 405 aio, which can be had for $70, so nearly $80 less if you add the rx, including the cost of the frame. If I didn't already have the components, I would also look around for an analog pre-built with similar components which could be swapped, which should be able to be found for about the same or less. But like I said, that is just my opinion and there are many buyers that might prefer to just pull it out of the box, or pull it out of the box and add their own 03 air unit and fly, or just have to have an F7 aio.

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  5 місяців тому

      @@LuckyPratama71 you CAN always add GPS, you have space in the AIO to connect it, but the fact that you can doesn't mean you should. The drone is already heavy the way it is, a GPS will just add more weight, and a li-ion will be too heavy in my opinion. And besides, I don't think you should be thinking about doing long range with a 2" drones, it's too small...

    I would put my Firefly 2s with a Thumb4k against that, to compare.

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  8 місяців тому

      Agreed. It will always be difficult for the O3 system in this area as long as DJI doesn’t produce a smaller VTX, which they will never do. That’s why I’m flying more walksnail these days. More flexibility.

      @@NordFPV I had nothing but the O3 and Goggles2 for my quads, but I then realised I needed analogue.
      Walksnail and HDzero are amazing experience upgrades for the pilot, but not the audience so much, so an action cam is still needed, and that adds meaningful weight in the 1/2s classes.
      I got the cobra-x box goggles and I am very happy.

  • @chrisalexthomas
    @chrisalexthomas 8 місяців тому +1

    That's way too expensive. You can buy the motors for €35, a similar frame for €25, a 40A aio f411 for about €50, and the ELRS for like €12, so about €120 euros total, then add your O3 unit on top. So basically, this drone is like twice the price of the parts. It's just not worth the money

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  8 місяців тому +1

      I’m also thinking is too much money. I guess the whole CNC stuff throws the price of the frame away, but still I don’t think the CNC parts are a good enough reason to invest so much in a 2”.

    In my opinion this whole 2" O3 setup is nonsence.
    It's very heavy with the O3 and 4S setup on such a small prop.
    2.5" has 60% more disc area than 2".
    Why not just step up to 2.5" and get more efficiency, flight time and better feel.
    This whole ultra small O3 setup started with the pavo pico to be sub100g for drone laws in japan.
    No need to go 2" on the O3 if you don't worry about sub100g.
    2.5" is proven over and over again.
