    I'm guessing that when Solas seperated Thedas and The Fade, he thought he was just locking away the Elven gods, but he also locked away the source of the blight.
    I don't think he knows that, so where he sees destroying the boundary and reuniting the two as some kind of panacea it will actually cause the Blight source to get free.
    I think it's a plot bait and switch. DA4 won't really be about just stopping or helping Solas, rather confronting that evil that originated in the darkness.
    I think it's right to assume that the Blight itself is DA's overarching antagonist.

      I am pretty sure that Jackdaw is right about OGs being parts of Mythal and I think they act as seals to Titans. Remember that it was Mythal that defeated them. Killing them all prob would release the blighted titan too and that would be bad.
      Mythal/Flemeth can care only about revenge as far as we know it. We like to think of her as a positive character but she was shattered and never was crystal clear to begin with. She may crave vengeance so much that she wants elven gods dead no matter the cost.

    I completely agree with the opinion that the Old Gods are fragments of Mythal. I think the Elven gods just split her up, similar to what we saw in the temple of Dirthamen and the "Asunder" quest in Origins.
    It reminds me a lot of the Indo-European myths, where a hero (usually the god of thunder) kills a multi-headed serpent representing the primordial chaos (chaoskampf). And in some myths, the hero also divides the serpent into parts, as was the case with Tiamat, or plunges it underground, as was the case with Typhon. The Ouroboros (which we often see in the last game) is also born of these myths.
    Great video btw!

      I always had the impression that when the last og is killed, it will drive the darkspawn mad, just like the mother. Perhaps the architect even knew that, and was trying to prevent the worst scenario, but that's just a guess.

      @@gaguiar Not all darkspawn go mad when the calling is severed from them. Perhaps the darkspawn will gain sapience when the og are slain. We also know that the black city has seven gates and the mural from the dreadwolfrises trailer shows the red lyrium idol locked in something surrounded by tiny spheres. Maybe not mad - though some will absolutely go mad - but now without that purpose. Free to decide what they want to do. Which is very unlikely to be staying in the deep roads. The whole Void, Forgotten Ones, deep roads thing keeps making me think it's very related to the Titans, like at the end of the Descent DLC when we were inside the Titan, I'd call looking down and not being able to see anything a sort of Void/abyss, where we've found out Lyrium is like the blood/lifeforce of a Titan, so maybe the Forgotten Ones were banished inside of a Titan to it's lower depths, where the Forgotten Ones could be anything still, the early dwarves or elves etc, we still don't know exactly yet, and then after being banished the Titan looked after them, then the Forgotten Ones while being hunted the Titan got mad/injured or something along those lines, turning the Lyrium into red Lyrium. The whole armour made of the void could be armour made of red lyrium which then corrupted and spread etc.

  • @tmplsol

    Solas' exhibited power of turning people to stone seems reminiscent of the anvil of the void (Meredith also turns to "stone"), so I always figured the foci were indeed stolen titans' power/hearts. He also mentions to the Inq that Corypheus was able to (indirectly) control the archdemon with the orb. The fact that Mythal knows where the "void" is and is connected somehow to the Blight makes me nervous - what would Mythal do if she could control the remaining archdemons? Great video! I hope we see the remaining magisters eventually.

    OKAY SO I HAD SOME WACKY THOUGHTS AT 6:20
    What if the Void was the Deep Roads? Like, before the Veil, the Deep Roads and the Void were the same. The Void was the section of the Fade that corresponded to Deep Roads.
    Or maybe the Deep Roads were originally made as a way to access the Void? I dunno, I like both of these ideas. And I still like the idea that the Blight comes from an angry and vengeful Titan who turned themselves into Red Lyrium and spawned the Blight to seek revenge upon the Elves.
    (edit:) Okay okay okay, even wackier idea. The Void is a Red Lyrium Titan. We know that the Titan we visit had a sky? That was down? So what if the Void Titan just has an infinite pit. Just an endless night sky. That would explain why it would be called a place of nothingness and why the Deep Roads would be connected to the Void.

    Ohh seeing as how we are speculating and you requested that we "tin foil" viewers add our own, here are some of mine.
    1: The Hero of Fereldan will possibly return (not as a playable character, but through Morigan) after being successful in discovering how to remove the blight, not just from tainted wardens but all things blighted as I believe Flemeth/Mythal foresaw. Hopefully in a scenario with either, or both, Hawke and the Inquisitor.
    2: Mythal, in an attempt to stop the other Evanuris from gaining unlimited power, slew the chief Titan (keeping in mind they too are immortal) that the Evanuris had found, planning to drain it, and this is why they slew her. In slaying it, it may have given it the blight?
    3: Could the Titans be the old gods that placed their spirit/soul into dragon form that dwell deep under Thedas, hibernating, in order to hide their true location from those that would corrupt them? (The dragon avatars that become Archdemons are tainted by dark spawn yet in the lore dragons are immune to blight).
    4: Could the Qunari be hybrid Elf/Dragon, as Coryphéus suggested, if so would they be from die hard Evanuris loyalists attempting to protect themselves from the blight?
    5: Sandal has the soul of an old god like Kieran had and could possibly be the eighth unknown one.

    • @BelieveIt1051
      @BelieveIt1051 4 роки тому +3

      1. The Hero must return. The red lyrium growth must be stopped, and only the cure can do it. This would also give the Hero a legitimate reason for being uninvolved with the main plot to stop Solas for the rest of the game. The Hero could be working with others off-screen to neutralize the red lyrium growths all over Ferelden and Orlais. But I agree the Hero should make an in-game cameo appearance.
      2. I think it's more likely Mythal slew a titan to gain its power for herself, and to stop it from destroying the elvhen creations. There is a message stating that the elvhen praised Mythal for defeating a titan that was shaking their structures. As for why the evanuris killed Mythal, it's anyone's guess. Flemeth's Fade world if Kieran carried the soul of Urthemiel shows statue representations for Falon'Din and Dirthamen, with a sword through Dirthamen's back. So that might indicate that the brothers were involved in Mythal's murder. Elgar'nan probably sanctioned the assassination, but couldn't bring himself to do it. As for why, my guess is that Mythal was unfaithful to Elgar'nan, and perhaps Solas was the one she cheated with. Flemeth remarks that Mythal was betrayed as she was betrayed. Flemeth's tale involves some infidelity, so maybe that's the case with Mythal as well. Flemeth and Solas seemed a little too buddy-buddy, and Mythal's temple had Fen'Harel statues.
      3. No. The darkspawn are said to avoid the sound of the titans. Also, Urthemiel's prison was found around the general area of the titan in The Descent, not within the titan.
      4. More likely they're an early experiment gone wrong, perhaps of the Neromenians, the ancestors of the Tevinters. It's possible the grey liquid was involved.
      5. Flemeth spoke to Sandal, confirmed by Sandal himself. If he had held such a soul, Flemeth would have come for it already.

      @@BelieveIt1051 Hey thanks for replying. #3 In a Dragon avatar the Titan song might be different. (just speculating). I thought the fifth blight burst out from the Korcari wilds which is far from the Storm Coast.
      #4 I said that due to the Kossith having the same ears as elves.
      #5 Yes I am aware Sandal and Flemeth met from Sandals comment to Hawke in DA2. If Sandal does have an old god soul it may be unwilling to leave Sandal and is a match for a weakened Mythal in Flemeth.

    • @BelieveIt1051
      @BelieveIt1051 4 роки тому +1

      @@phonic0photon Sure thing. I like discussing Dragon Age.
      3. Possible, but the darspawn would still have to dig through the titan and face any sha-brytol. The 5th Blight did first appear in the Kocari Wilds, but the Archdemon was moving underground. We first spot it in the flesh in the Deep Roads right before we meet the Legion of the Dead. So it's possible for the Archdemon to be near Orazammar while still commanding its troops in the Wilds.
      4. I think it's been speculated for a while that qunari are mixed with elves, though I think people mainly based it on the fact that Tevinters owned elven slaves as well as qunari. I always thought the qunari having pointed ears made no sense. Sten had round ears. So you could be right. Maybe BioWare gave them pointed ears after the fact because they wanted to link them to the elves.
      5. Eh. I don't know. I always thought Sandal was just touched, and that he was able to kill many darkspawn using special runes he made. Every since The Descent, I've thought maybe Sandal established a connection with a titan.

    • @phonic0photon
      @phonic0photon 4 роки тому +1

      @@BelieveIt1051 I, too, took Sandal as being just as he appeared. I sort of changed my mind when on another DA channel they speculated he may be more. When I played trespasser I did not give much thought to the codex mentioning him found at one of the ruins, then after listening to that presentation I began dwelling on how a Dwarf enchanter supposedly without magic could activate an Eluvian (Could an enchanted rune be a key?). But then again Solas did say Briana controlled a section of the Eluvian network which I thought she used an elf mage or may herself have magic to open it. I am probably reading way too much into it, but still ponder how a touched savant could know what an Eluvian was.

    • @BelieveIt1051
      @BelieveIt1051 4 роки тому

      @@phonic0photon Well, an eluvian can be opened by anyone with the correct key or phrase. That's why the Viddasala was having all those various items studied. My inquisitor came across an Ancient Grey Warden Notes at the Shimmer Stone Mine location about the Second Blight. Of course some tried to turn back but the GW Captain says we will just find another Archdemon to kill. So does that mean that one of the Old Gods are in that mine?!?! A bit late, but I just had this thought after starting another playthrough of Inquisition. Dorian made a comment about the "men and women who entered the Black City" that got me thinking. If there were female Magisters who became corrupted, would they be the very first broodmothers? I think I heard somewhere that dwarven version of "How the Blights began" was that all darkspawn could be traced back to the first broodmothers. I'm not 100% certain about this, since I can't seem to find that information anywhere. I do like the idea that different races have different stories as to why the Blights began, and that each version could have a few kernels of truth to them.

    According to the devs being sent to the Fade how Corypheus was did effectively kill him but perhaps if we ever revisit the Fade we will see how the blight has kept him alive.
    There are codex entries that describe possible other darkspawn similar to the Magisters Sidereal, as seen by a dwarf who was lost once (saw three tall, intelligent, regal darkspawn, they got into an argument, one ran away while another ate the third). So there are potential plot threads of the other forgotten magisters roaming the Deep Roads.

    It would be interesting to PREVENT the next blights instead of just fighting in another blight. Now, I have the feeling that the decay Corypheus mentions to be inside the Qunari's blood is a point of interest. I wouldn't find strange if the Triumverate (dunno the spelling) would not only find, but also hide and, maybe, worship, one of those dragons. They found dozens of eluvians. They might have been to places we dare not imagine. Also, we know the Qunari have been studying red lyrium and we don't know for how long, but the daarvarad agent talking to Talis had been studying that for maybe quite a while. And if they are studying without the necessary precautions, then they are possibly even more dangerous now. How come the Antaan and the Ben Hassrath are disagreeing so strongly? In Teviter Nights, the Ben hassrath guy let the s.o.b Antaan be killed and even support the rebels because the guy was not following the Qun. Doesn't he fear the consequences? Isn't it all what the Qun is about, like, you don't question your superiors and such? It really seems that they are not united and this discord may be an external factor.

    Corypheus perhaps unlocked the same power of the blight the ancient elves did. In the Temple of Sacred Ashes he performed a blood magic ritual sacrificing a titan, the lyrium filled mountain the temple is built on top of, in order to rip open the Veil. Notably that cause the lyrium not consumed to become blighted red lyrium.

    What if the evanuris created the red lyrium idol from the titans and these idol are actually the cause of the the blight they sing to the dark spwan and take the dark spwan as it's vassal and re-create it self into the shape of dragon.
    After all Bianca stated that the red lyrium is the blight it's a living thing
    So could it be the essence of the evanuris / titans be the cause of the blight?

    I really dont like the theorization in this videos. If the videos are suppose to inform about important topics for dragon age 4 then great, but I dont want to potentially be spoiled if your theory are correct. If I heard that it can be a certain way and it is then the surprise is not as big.
