Yes he said. The warden asks if Sten actually believes that the Qun will run down Ferelden and Sten answers that one day for sure. But sadly the warden will not be present in the next game, so we won't see when the two of them would meet :(.

Would side with Solas in a heartbeat over The Qun. I personally see the Qun as the single most evil thing in the Dragon Age universe, individuality and diversity should be praised, not stamped out.
Solas wants to be proven wrong, he wants to believe in this world.

  • @BelieveIt1051

Great video, Mr. Daw. Here are some thoughts about the future of Qunari plots. First, the origin of the Qunari and their relation to the Kossith will likely be revealed in DA4. I believe the truth is something so horrible and depressing that learning it would shatter that seemingly invincible resolve the Qunari society tries to present to the rest of the world.
I believe the Ariqun likely knows the history, but it is passed on verbally, and never written down. I also believe Corypheus knew their origin, which is why he calls a qunari Inquisitor's race a mistake. Urthemiel's soul also seems to know about them. Thus, I think Solas knows the truth about them as well, and plans to release the knowledge of their origin in order to cause a massive civil war and chaos within the qunari culture. He said he would rather people live in relative comfort until the day they have to die, but he also said he would rather see people free of the Qun. Also, a massive event full of bloodshed might be necessary to fulfill his plan to tear down the Veil, as shedding blood is known to weaken and breach the Veil.
Also, I think that Solas' big brain play is to demonstrate that the current world of Thedas must be destroyed. Proving to the (ex-)Inquisitor why the world must die could be part of his plan to fulfill the resurrection of his own world. Destabilizing the Qunari would go far in proving that this world is beyond hope. This is for those who believe they can redeem Solas and prove that this world doesn't have to die. Those who chose that option will really have to defend it. Also, those who want to stop him by any means might have second thoughts when they see what kind of world they're truly trying to save.
I could be wrong, but I think Temassran is not strictly female in role. Most of their educators are female, but there are some male priests who instruct other males. Also, the picture of the Ariqun you showed is a male. So I think the Ariqun can be male or female. The Arigena on the other hand is always female, just as the Arishok is always male.
Now that I think about it, I bet dwarves would find it the most difficult to live under the Qun. Many dwarven males are merchants and craftsmen, which fall under the Arigena's expertise. Those males would then have to give up their businesses. Likewise, the dwarven nobility would get flattened down to the same status as any other warrior or guard. The caste-less would probably like it though.
I think the jury is still out on how aqun-athlok are treated under the Qun. Sten has one view, Hissrad has another. Considering the latter's title translates to liar, I'm inclined to believe Sten, who is now Arishok and commands the Antaam. I would think he would know better than anyone else, especially now. However, I acknowledge that BioWare seems to be tilting in favor of Hissrad's explanation, vague as it was.
8:42 That guard looks like he really needs to use the privy.
I was chatting with DarthShadie about this yesterday afternoon, but I'm confused about what's going on with the Qunari factions seemingly defying the will of the Salasari. Firstly, didn't the Salasari renew their assault on Tevinter anyway? So why would one faction's attack on Tevinter be unsanctioned? Maybe they are ignoring orders of which locations to attack, and then attacking any target they want, but isn't that something that would get them branded as tal-vashoth? Also, how can the Ariqun command any antaam? I mean, I know Viddasala commanded some in Trespasser, but those were appointed to guard the Darvaraad and her agents. How can a Rassan order soldiers to engage in military action? I fear BioWare is starting to lose track of their own lore, and they're just writing whatever plots come to mind and disregarding consistency in the process.
Interesting idea that Rassan wants to know Solas' true name. Connor's desire demon says that names have power. Knowing a spirit's true name might give the one knowing it some kind of power over that spirit, or perhaps a easier route of finding or communicating with it.
I don't think Dragon's Breath was the Ben-Hassrath's plan, but rather Viddasala's. The Salasari disavowed the operation and claimed to have no knowledge of it in a letter to Josephine that Viddasala intercepted then crumpled up in anger. I think Viddasala was just trying to start an invasion that the Salasari would have no choice but to support once it was started. I think Rassan is doing the same thing here, just against Solas rather than the South. As for the rest of the Qunari, I think they're only attacking Tevinter, which they were doing anyway. Trespasser states that the Salasari reach out to the Chantry for support in attacking Tevinter. So why would the Qunari attack the South when they haven't even taken down Tevinter yet? This was one of the flaws in Viddasala's plan.
Another issue is how the Ariqun can have the Ben-Hassrath sit the war out. Shouldn't they at least be assisting while also investigating Solas? Isn't refusing to assist grounds for being declared Tal-Vashoth?
Allying with the Ben-Hassrath could be a secret function of the Inquisition while the new protag stays in good with Tevinter officials. The Inquisition could pass on any Ben-Hassrath info to the new protag. Play both sides.
Again, Dragon's Breath was disavowed, and the Salarari have requested cooperation with the South in defeating Tevinter. They have not officially declared war against the South, though I agree they do want to eventually conquer all of Thedas eventually. That deal with the Qunari that Talon made was worthless. Qunari honor is what would demand they double-cross him after peaceful invasion was complete.
I think I'd rather have a tal-vashoth female party companion, who is also possibly a Grey Warden, be the romance rather than someone like Rassan. However, BioWare would need to fix the female character design for the Frostbite engine. Too many of the female designs just aren't feminine enough, and this is especially true for the female qunari. There should also be some body sliders to adjust their body type. Any new qunari female romance should look feminine.
One of Solas' plans could be to start a major war between Tevinter and the Qunari so that it helps weaken the Veil. Another possibility is that he is undermining the Qunari from the inside. Solas could be contacting certain elves who live under the Qun and testing them mentally as double agents. If they pass the test, they become his agents under the false promise of having a better life once the kingdom of the elvhen is restored. If they fail the test and prove to be too brainwashed by the Qun, then Solas might kill them outright or just make them forget everything they dreamed of him.

      The Thalmor are xenophobic tho
They don't like anyone but elves, and even then they don't like other elves that aren't themselves. Evidence of this is the purges they regularly do in Valenwood in Wood Elves.
The Qunari doesn't hate any of the races on a personal or racial level, they just don't like the religion they practice and want to convert all of them.

So, I just found your channel, and I don't know if you're just steeped in lore from books, or if you have some inside scoop, but I have a question. Are we ever going to see any more darkspawn as anything other than the occasional random enemy? (Okay, I know Corypheus was technically a darkspawn). The one area where I really thought DAO excelled was that horror flavor that came from having the darkspawn be a big part of the plot. Mages and templars fighting is cool and all, and who doesn't love a good demon, but the darkspawn really gave a sense of urgency to the first game that I never quite felt in the sequels.

Not at all. The concept of Aqun Athlok is hard to explain but under the Qun they are literally considered the gender of the role they take on. In the Qun, doing childcare is always a female, and someone in the military is always male, regardless of the gender assigned them at birth. Sten was confused because the female warden is openly saying she is a woman and yet is also fighting. This is opposed to aqun athlok who are literally considered men because they fight.

    • @BelieveIt1051

The Qunari aren’t immune to the taint though because the ogres among the dark spawn are the progeny of Qunari broodmothers.

I have two states set up for the next DA. 1st one is a dalish elf mage, who shut down the inquisition, romanced Solas and wants to save him. She put hardened Lelianna on the throne and threw poor old Allister off to fear in the fade. She is pro elf and pro mage freedom in every capacity. She drank from the well of sorrows. Morrigan does not have a child, the hero of ferelden is a dead elven mage. Hawke is a mage who romanced Anders and is trying to save him. It will be a very anti qun state.
The other is Deus Vult by Andraste's will! It is centred around the strengthening of the chantry, it serves as Divine Vivienne' muscle, the seekers of truth are rebuilt under a romanced Cassandra and the Inquisitor. He did not drink from the well of sorrows. Hero of ferelden romanced Lelianna, and lived. Hawke sided with the Templars and killed Anders. They will be for southern Thedas and they will be for the expanding and prospering of the chant of light.

I just re play dragon age inquisition now and damn... this game have a loot of problem they have not enough story quest the game only loin big because of the side quest and a loot of animation of cinematics are bad like Moira teleport a loot of time I don’t understand why I wish they put a team for the animation and cinematic that would see if they have any problems and that would make it better like the inquisitor look so dead and a loot of conversation look strange because of the body language

It really doesn't have any similarities to Islam I can think of except for reverence of the physical text it is based on. If the Qun resembles any religion it is Hinduism which isn't a very good match. But the body analogy, horizontal advancement but not vertical and non good verus evil philosophy are some similarities. Like Emily I think communism also has some parallels within the Qun. But it is not a one for one anything.

@@mysticonthehill idk dude my parents grew up in communism and it really is tone deaf to reduce it to something as underdeveloped as the concept of the qun is as of right now (hopefully we can explore and find out more about it in later games, but as of right now it's quite simplistic). People did have choices on where to work during most communist regimes (at least in Slavic countries, which is what I would know about), unlike the qun. The only similarities I can see are being a cog in the machine of a society and how every role is essential, and on the negative spectrum the fear of foreigners and censorship. But even this is quite simplistic. A lot of what history calls communism is better described as fascism, in terms of leaders.
Edit: I hope this makes as much sense written down as it did in my head, it's 5am and I haven't slept lmao
