    The methods taught here come from Jing Shen Kuoshu, a contemporary martial art that specializes in Functional Self Defense instruction. It focuses on using your enemy’s strength against them. Think about it: just one wrong move from them, and they are on the ground screaming in pain. You’ll learn to counter grapplers who try to control your wrists. In just three seconds, you can turn the tables and defend yourself powerfully.
    Sport Fighting and Street Brawling are often thought of as self defense. On the contrary, those are forms of Mutual Combat that is often mistaken for self defense. In self defence, you may be dealing with domestic violence, burglary, an attempt to abduct you or possibly a sexual assault. Either way, the methods of attack are much different than you have in a street fight or mutual combat. You are likely avoiding being controlled rather than wanting to get into a fistfight. Self Defense is the art of disengagement. How not to be in a fight or combative situation.
