Thank you Kevin for the information. I will be doing the same myself. Very few contractors in that area. I will have to find a very good foreman. I built many homes here in the US, but they said do not try to change the Philippine way.
Looks like the workers are spreading the sand and gravel everywhere, have them clean it back up and build a boarder wall around them to keep the waste to a minimum. Keep track of every scrap of wood used in the forms, make sure the workers know you’re keeping a watchful eye of everything or it will magically start disappearing once broken down. Looking good, God Bless.
This sort of mentality the workers will disappear… show the guys respect n treat them like humans and buy the some lunch every now n then.. and the guys will go above and beyond for u..
@@stephendemille5424 Humm, always provide lunch, that’s a given, even dinner every now and then never had any walk offs or now shows. Pay them well, treat them well, set expectations and results or your build will take twice as long. They’re still employees paid to do the job. Don’t expect above and beyond but expect the job to be done correctly.
Kevin look please at time 2:38 in this vlog. Be aware they do better work with there CHB brick work. Dont accept bad work be everyday on the site, I know it the Fillipines but after plastering cement on the walls you dont see any bad construction. good luck mate
Really like what you got going on do you have a drawn out floorplan and how many square meters is it? We’re looking to build a home in eastern Samar in the next two years I like the design of Tom and Hars home. But I really like the size of your carport. The shape was nice but after I see yours, I really like it especially the large back porch. Are you building it yourself or do you have a contractor they say if you build it yourself you must get the material Contractor will get it for you but charges more.
I sketched a plan and hired an architect to do a complete set of plans. The house is 218sqm. I am the builder/contractor and depends on my foreman as this is the first house I have built in the Philippines. Good luck with your build when that happens.
You need to set a price before you start or you will be paying twice as much as you want. They will take there time doing the work. You set the price with the Contractor and make him stick to it.
i will follow the progress....🤠🤠❤🐪🐪
Thanks!!!
looking good, hoping to do the same soon outside Cebu
Thanks and good luck when you do.
Wow, coming right along. Very nice!

I have designed and built 2 homes back in the US also. I'm trying to find a middle ground in "trying to change the Philippines way". 😂😂😂

Three guys are treated fairly. Some of them are family members of Sela.

When does the roof go on?
Materials for the roof should be delivered this week.
How much you paying per sqm? Your brick work is not good you will have cracking in above five years it’s better to go with poured walls.
There is no way to tell how much per sqm till it is done. Thanks.
