Really enjoyed this episode! Brought back memories of my grandfather, who was a pipe smoker, and how comforting the aromas that emanated from his pipe were.
I am absolutely loving this channel. The chemistry and banter you both have is so much fun to watch. Damn. I just wanna get drunk and smoke cigars with you both. You deserve more views, for sure and a thicker ring gauge on that stogie. Stay safe boys.

It's nice to see a fair comparison instead of a couple of cigar smokers who've watched 3 youtube vids on pipe smoking proceed to slag off pipes and pipe tobacco. I'm a long time cigar smoker that has recently taken up pipe smoking, a lot of good advice for the beginner (me), especially on packing and tamping, there are more ways to pack a pipe than cut and light a cigar! I think this vid offers solid advice also pointing out you have to tamp while drawing (something I didn't know for too long). And in case you cigar smokers feel left out ... there are just as many pipe nazis as cigar and whiskey nazis ... ahem sorry I meant to say "aficionados".
I love cigars and pipes but if you light a cigar you better finish smoking it because it taste like bitter crap if you light it again. Not a problem with pipes but pipes have to be cleaned occasionally of course.
Communism VS Capitalism. The irony is that materialist people tend to smoke cigars (something that completely burn after use). I do both, so I am a well balanced individual. Seriously : Cigars = meal, Pipe = dessert
Brother stogie I just started my pipe journey a couple weeks ago....been smoking cigars for about 9 years and my go to sticks are Diesel Rage and a CAO Flathead 660, they will forever be in my coolidor .... I got a little cheap Italian briar pipe for $30 at my local tobacconist store... I'm absolutely hooked; been trying different blends and I'm liking the stronger stuff like Peterson nightcap and Ashton consummate gentleman and there artisan blend or Seattle pipe clubs plum pudding.... I just made the jump to a nice Peterson 301 pipe and the bigger bowl has already upped my game.... Please make a video to give an update on how you pack your bowl and any other interesting information that you may have developed or come across since this video was made... Pipe noobs would rejoice 😁.... Also, if you have any suggestions of cans I should buy that are full-bodied strong leather earth flavors please let me know... I'm trying to learn the different types of tobacco's used. It appears I tend to stray towards English blends with a decent amount of latakia
Thank you your info is very informative. I have been smoking sticks for awhile now, but I’m drawing interest in pipe smoking, so I’m thinking of giving it a show.
Strangely speaking from a video editor's perspective, I would cut your music by about 30%, bump your voices by about 15%, and add a little bit of furniture to that room, or get some wireless lapel mics. I can tell that you guys put a lot of work into this and by taking the next step of just increasing your audio quality especially for something that's mainly just talking. Appreciate the video
Hey, sitpaintandplay! Thanks for the comment. We've actually made several changes since this video. Check out some of our newer videos. We've upgraded the camera, changed the shotgun mic to a boom mic (lapels have been on back order since December), expanded the set wall, added additional lighting, and tweeked the audio. Great video! Hope you are still enjoying the pipe journey. Just to let new pipe smokers know, there is a break-in for pipes. Start out with about a third of a bowl and work your way up to a full bowl over about 5 or so smokes. Lessens the chance of cracking the bowl. Pipes are definitely worth the work. Will I give up cigars for a pipe? No way, but when the time allows and you need that other level of chill pipes are my go to.
Hey chief, I actually just smoked my pipe a couple of days ago....And yes, I agree the work it takes to care and enjoy a pipe is indeed worth it!....Glad you enjoyed the video...Welcome to the CigarTitan fam!

Greetings from south Louisiana. Just found your channel and are really enjoying it all. I am a pipe smoker and very recently began enjoying cigars. Totally different experiences for me but enjoying each very much. The setting for your videos is very nice and you do very well together. Peace be with you all
The relative pros and cons of each that I've noticed - Cigars pros: more intensely flavorful, create thicker smoke and more of it, easier to prepare and smoke well compared to a pipe, generally less of a learning curve than with pipes, cigars won't give you tongue bite if you smoke them too fast/hard, you need less stuff on hand to smoke a cigar (in a pinch all you need is a lighter, you can get away without a cutter even), there's less cleaning and maintenance required, there's generally more nicotine in a cigar so you're more likely to feel a bit of a buzz (this could be a pro or a con), and cigar shops/bars/smokers/culture in general is more prevalent and common than with pipes. Also smoking a cigar won't make you look like a weird hipster. Pipe pros: Besides the initial investment in a pipe it's a WAY cheaper hobby (pipe tobacco is generally $4 - $10/oz and each oz will get you anywhere from 7-15 smokes depending on the size of your pipe, meaning each smoke costs pennies), there's a bigger variation in possible flavors and types of pipe tobacco blends, storage of pipe tobacco is cheaper and less finicky than cigars (just throw the tobacco in a mason jar and it's good for decades), it's fun to have a physical object that you can choose and suits your fancy and that you become friends with over the years, the aroma around you as you smoke is usually lighter and usually less offensive to non-smokers compared to cigars and many people find it pleasant or evocative of fond memories of a grandparent who smoked a pipe, it takes less time to finish a bowl than it does to smoke a whole cigar (depending on the size of the pipe) and you can choose to load up half or a 1/4 of a bowl for a quick smoke and if you're interrupted you can set the pipe down and come back and finish the bowl even several days later and it will still taste as good (sometimes even better), it takes concentration and mindfulness to smoke a pipe well (for many could be a con but for pipe lovers, this is a huge pro). Also smoking a pipe won't make you look like an old money douchebag. Both are great. I'm more of a pipe smoker but I love a cigar from time to time as well.
Anyone notice in a weird way these guys look alike. Like one is the white or black phenotype and complexion of the other I dunno I'm not smoking tobacco I'm smoking weed lol

I smoke cigars way more often but i love the occasionally english, semois, or virginia perique thru a natural cob. Pipe smoking takes far more technique and experience to get right. Its easy to fuck it up. I still do alot. But when you get it right you can get some great and very different flavor.
@@brothastogie5383 The Cake is the layer of hardened ashes that coats the bowl after you smoke a pipes a couple of dozen times. Thats the reason you have to "break in" a new pipe until a cake has formed. This layer is said to protect the wood from the ambers and soak up some of the tar and condensate in the smoke. People used to build up cakes upwards of 2 mm, but it is seen much less of a dogma today. A cake will form naturally and 1-2 mm is perfectly fine if you want to have one. But many smoke without a cake today.

My first pipe was a Doc Grabo. You can pick them up for under $50. I got mine at Walmart. Good starter pipe and its made of briar. After I got more experienced I stepped up to Boswells Pipes (I now have seven). They are hand made and are only about an hour from my house. They also hand blend tobaccos and have great flavors. I still use my old Doc Grabo, but mostly for a travel pipe.

@@brothastogie5383 Thank you for getting back to me on this (I appreciate the education) I’m at a point in my life where I want to experience and enjoy such things. I think men in general need to build or create for themselves a Man cave like sanctuary to enjoy these small pleasures, with all the crap being thrown at us we certainly deserve it.👍
Great one fellas. Pipes and cigars are equally good
Absolutely! It's personal preference!
Jason B I agree Jason!!....

Man... We appreciate that, KFC! We're blessed to be a part of such an awesome community!
@KFC ✊🏾✊🏻✊🏽✊
Tobacco pipe smell is the best smell ever I am thinking about getting into tobacco pipe I’ve done cigars enjoyed that but i just think a pipe is so much more classy and smells better ha
The smell of a pipe can't be beat!
Agreed!
Why can’t you just enjoy both?
You absolutely can!
I smoke cigars way more often but i love the occasionally english, semois, or virginia perique thru a natural cob. Pipe smoking takes far more technique and experience to get right. Its easy to fuck it up. I still do alot. But when you get it right you can get some great and very different flavor.
💯, there's definitely an art to smoking a pipe.
You’re right ....definitely a craft to get that bowl going....
It's very important to build carbon cake inside your pipe
So what is your definition of “Carbon Cake?”
@@tomitiustritus6672 ahhhhh, love it…I will definitely add this knowledge In from you guys on our next pipe video…Thanks Titan fam
Master Stogi had me dyin!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The dream team!🔥🔥 dope video my brothers!! Made me want to try smoking a pipe! What would be a good one to start with without breaking the bank?!! Keep up the great work hermanos stay safe and healthy!
JayWinsMusic our brotha Jay...You can order one on amazon for under $100 bucks for a starter
@@RWeeks-hx9ut I’m trying to get my pipe rack full!...I want to get a few corn cob pipes as well
Just found your channel and I'm really enjoying the vibe, great job Titans. I enjoy a pipe a few days a week and have acquired a large collection of tobaccos and pipes, it's a relaxing hobby.
We appreciate that, Bill! Thanks for the kind words.
Hope to see you in a live premiere one day brother Jackson!
@@brothastogie5383 , I’ll make sure I jump in on an upcoming live, I have some Stogie questions. Keep up the good work.

Thank you NEPU! I've actually seen a few folks use their pipe for that purpose. Welcome to the family!
Thank you sir....welcome to the family....that’s actually a good idea for a video....
@@brothastogie5383 haha i did do one but i cannot find it 🤣👍
Does strength matter when it comes to pipe tobacco like it does with cigars? Like should you have a meal before you smoke?
Not the same at all!….you don’t get the full body effects like you would in a cigar….I can smoke my pipe whenever
I smoke pipes and cigars, and i enjoy both. Greetings from Chile.
@Leo.A.C. Welcome to the Titan Fam brother Leo....and shout out to Chile!!!!!....

@JoeJohnson welcome brotheren!....We appreciate you taking the take to watch our video
i do both but prefer good cigar by far
I'm with you, brother! 🔥💨
Jack of all trades is always good
Pipe vs cigar,?save the cigars for social situations
I really like the low maintenance of a cigar... In most cases.
@LeslieLively I smoke both in any situation...Pipes are a great conversation starter
@Blue Savage hahah...My man...”Where’s the bathroom?...Over there (as I point with the stem of my pipe)!
@Blue Savage lmao...
@Blue Savage just for you bro, I’m going to re-enact this conversation

Love that place got a bunch of pipes from there. If your a wet smoker that pipe gurgle happens but a Peterson system pipe will help with that.

Welcome fam 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Pipes seem to take alot of work
Yes, more than a cigar for sure. People who smoke pipes have the same passion as those who smoke cigars. Find what works best for you! 🔥💨
But once you get it…You got it!!!…and it’s worth the hassle!
Are you both married each other?
Yes, both married to this community!

Pipes > cigars
Yes!!! 🔥💨

Welcome to the Titan Family! 🔥💨
Chea!!!
I only smoke cigars at events. Like BBQ, birthdays the odd small group get together etc. I never smoke them by myself or at a big group party.
It's great that you still find time to enjoy them!
I always have kept my pipe tobacco in the humidor. Is that somthing I shouldn't do? It's in a plastic bag so I don't know how effective it is. How should I be storing it?
I keep mine in my humidor with the rest of products….stays super fresh
@Brotha Stogie cool. What you keep it in? Thanks for the reply btw.
@@12b_engineer mine are in ziplocks…I take out as much air as I can before I seal them up….1 bag is always in my travel humidor….never know when I might wanna fire up my pipe

Where's the carberator?
The Who?
Are you guys going to do Cigars vs cigarettes next? Like Tim and Bradley did from TNT Cigars?
If that's something people want to see, we'll do it.
🤔🤔🤔
I can barely smell anything so how does that work
Ear, nose and throat doctor for a start! 😉😉
Cigar the best. Nothing else.
I'm with you, JW!
jw tan Hahahah....whatever...I like to keep myself multifaceted
Im of a more discriminating taste, so I prefer pipe tobacco over cigars. I enjoy a cigar once ina while, but for every day smoking, I prefer a pipe
