The ending conversation is the tone setter for this entire show and story. One of the best scenes of the show and maybe the most important.
The scene between Jimmy and Chuck is pure, heart-breaking gold.
FYI: They have not watched "El Camino" yet so no talk of the movie!
One of my favorite BCS episodes. Always sensed that Chuck wasn't fully on board with Jimmy being a lawyer, but seeing that what Jimmy attributed to Howard was actually Chuck's doing is pretty shocking.
Howard is a way better guy than we think towards the beginning. All the reasons we disliked him so much can all be chalked up to him being so loyal to Chuck.
Loved this episode because it showed Mike's homework skills and general badass skills. Plus, it showed Chuck's true colors.
@@CraigKostelecky Yes, we've been holding it inside all season, unable to reveal what we know, But now that Chuck has finally shown his true colors it can finally be said: Fuck you Chuck, Fuck you so hard.
Damn lacy you are smart picked up on chucks "I'm very disappointed" like he didn't mean it, Steve also points out stuff that sometimes you don't see, you guys are a great duo
Sorry if I spelled your name wrong
yeah that was soo good! they might have thought it was just bad acting or something but no.. it was "bad acting" from the character but incredible acting from the actual actor. it's awesome they picked up on that.
In Spanish we call “Nacho” those who’s name is Ignacio.
Kyle Whitehead yes, the Name of the creator of nachos was Ignacio and his Nickname was “Nacho” that’s why he named the meal “nachos”
Is that in the same way people that are named "Jesus" (pronounced Heh-souse) are called "Chuy" (pronounced Chewie)
@@necromancerz2240 Yes, the same way girls named Isabel are called 'Chavela" for whatever reason
@@ianthomas1201 wtf lol
I Love the fact that we hate chuck for saying that to Jimmy, but we also know that he’s right, we all saw who Jimmy is on Breaking Bad.
Craig Kostelecky yes, is Absolutely interesting, maybe Chuck is the only person that can guide Jimmy on the right path, but also Jimmy still might take the same choices, your comment is very interesting.
@Mark Victor no i dont think so, cause we are shown later him trying to be straight and not caring about chuck and he slips
I’m so glad that you chose to react to Better Call Saul. My husband and I have been so into this show that we bit the bullet and bought Season 5 on Amazon Prime because we couldn’t find anywhere else to watch it for free, and we didn’t want to wait on it to come to Netflix.
I grew up in the country and used to walk around barefoot everywhere. Grass between the toes is awesome. A yellow jacket sting on the toe is not.
So we have Steven Ogg (Simon from Walking Dead, Trevor from GTA) making an appearance here. I don’t know exactly when this was filmed, but I like to imagine that it was when Simon was a regular on Walking Dead, since he was already in employ of AMC. My thought on how this went down when being filmed, “Alright, just do your Simon asshole thing. We’ll roll with it.”
Damn Lacey, your expression when Jimmy was telling off Howard, you’d think you were on the receiving end of his vitriol.
Chuck’s reveal to be the asshole working against Jimmy: that was such a well done scene between Chuck and Jimmy. You feel every bit of Jimmy’s devastation and every bit of Chuck’s disdain.
Craig Kostelecky - Ah, so this would have been before season 7 of Walking Dead. This is what happens when I try to catch up on long-since filmed shows.
The bar is called, "Burlington Bar" and the channel is "SeanTankTop"!! It was on Paulie and my list of places to see back in March!
Knew her voice was familiar. The actress who plays Kaylee Ehrmantrauts mom is the same actress who plays the weird lady who Rick meets in the woods in season 4 premiere of the walking dead.
its so great that Steve is fully on board with this show now
One of my favorite episodes of the whole series!
All that matters is passing the BAR. And Jimmy passed the same BAR Chuck did.
The guy who needs protection, is mark proksch, and everything I see him in just makes me laugh so hard. Please for your enjoyment check his appearances in the office as warehouse worker Nate, but even more hilarious is his more prominent role in what we do in the shadows as Colin an energy vampire. He’s absolutely hysterical in his minor roles.
yes..lol.. he's a riot.. watching the Office on Neflix. and we're at the season he shows up.. Dwight's guy.. lol
I know him as the yo yo guy
Yeah! The pill guy.....LOL. Can't wait to see your future reactions.
Pimento is Mike's favorite sandwitch ;d
To be fair, pimento cheese is effing awesome, particularly homemade with a little jalapeño added in for some extra kick.
Craig Kostelecky - I’ve never heard that as a lifelong Southerner, but we definitely love our pimento cheese down here.
@Anon Ymous
South Carolinian here, and I have never liked pimento.
@@CraigKostelecky wrong craig..lol
@@CraigKostelecky the south comment silly
A very powerful episode. It's easy to feel sorry for Jimmy, for the way Chuck treated him, but knowing what kind of lawyer he becomes having watched Breaking Bad, Chuck was right all along. He was Slippin Jimmy for so long that his crooked ethics is already ingrained in his soul.
What jimmy becomes is chucks doing (that does not mean jimmy is not responsible for his actions)
@@latviankhan2989 I disagree completely. In some cases, the legit way to win is too hard or will take too long or simply impossible due to circumstances, I believe that jimmy will resort to unethical means to win. even if Chuck had supported him when he became a lawyer, he would have resorted to the same tricks if he thinks that doing it the legit way is riskier.
@@lstsnwfll who's to say he wouldn't be a straight lawyer if chuck had his back? he already a portfolio of pro bono cases that he defended in the earlier episodes. he didn't use any trick on those despite having a hard time with taking care of chuck and himself. he didn't take the million dollars that was already on his table because he knows it's the right thing. any other person would have kept that immediately especially that the people who had it are dumbasses. so how can you say he wouldn't be ethical if chuck supported him?
@@farlonmuentes6004, we can only speculate, but I think jimmy would corrupt chuck rather than chuck straighten him out. Why would I think this way? Look at what happened to Kim. she had to run away from jimmy herself (her soul, not her life). Im not saying here that jimmy doesn't have a heart. Yes, he cares for the little people. He wants to defend them, but when the going gets tough, he resorts to unethical, sometimes illegal, means to win.
Let's goooo Better call saul!!
Great episode love the scene with GTA Mike's so badass
OMG I hope you end up watching Dexter you will lovvveee it , it is AMAZING
Hard to believe he's the same badass simon character from twd
If we agree that TWD is in the same universe as BrBa and this IS Simon then it makes total sense. He's all show-off and no skill haha
@@AlejoConejo-vb8ln Nah his characters called Sobchak in this
@@jman1682 Sobchack? The hell? Where did you get that from?
@@AlejoConejo-vb8ln On imdb thats his characters name
Yall are like godparents. The Prediscussion was so wholesome, i will definitely be joining yalls movie nights. Cheers!
Thanks for reacting to this lowkey show! You two rock!
@@CraigKostelecky LOL naaw it is one of my fav shows currently running!
The guy with the handle-bar moustache Mike disarms was Simon, Negan`s henchman from The Walking Dead.
Yeah, they called him “Grand Theft Auto,” since that’s where they recognized him first. They started calling him that when he appeared in Walking Dead.
When they said they just watched him die, they were referring to his character, Simon.
Steven Ogg. He was also in Westworld.
Jimmy passed All the requirements to be an Actual Lawyer.
Chuck is the biggest bastard.
Been waiting for this one.
Cant wait for the assumptions video to come out!
Price seems like the guy to really like pie ;)
The reaction channel you guys couldn't think of is Burlington Bar
I love that someone named Sue made it possible for you to watch a show about a lawyer. 😆
I was more sympathetic to Chuck's point of view the second time I watched season 1. He still handled it poorly, though, but even then he was probably at a loss for how to handle the situation without driving Jimmy back to his old ways.
This episode is the moment that Saul was born.
My personal favorite episode of season 1
If you guys watch Sons of Anarchy you should also watch The Shield. Really good show and it was co-created by the creator of Sons of Anarchy
Pretty insightful on the pill guy
Thank you Sue!
Woohoo! More BCS!!
Why wasn’t Mike on Rick’s team during that conflict? He probably would’ve taken that bat and.........
Chuck was way out of line. It doesn't matter where you went to school, if you pass the BAR, you're a lawyer.
Actually, that is the brilliance of the show. Chuck is ABSOLUTELY correct in his assessment of Jimmy.
We KNOW this because of Breaking Bad :)
@@randallewebb Not entirely. It's not exactly wrong to be skeptical of Jimmy's character, but he had no right to dismiss his skill and accomplishment as a lawyer. Not to mention, it was incredibly scummy to be sabotaging him and having Howard take the fall for it.
So, when Chuck walked in the building, did the electric doors open automatically for him? Hmm....
Lacey's face when she first sees Brice. lmao. Yes, that is how we all feel.
@@CraigKostelecky Haha yeah. They seem to have a pretty good read on that dork and what to expect. haha
You've heard the name Ignacio before. Not really a spoiler to say when, but I kinda wanna leave it at that so you might remember the rest on your own.
Better call saul is amazing. It's my top show along with Breaking Bad. You've got to watch Dark and Westworld next! BLACK MIRROR TOO
I hope you guys consider doing some comedy - if you haven’t seen them, I think you would both really enjoy Parks And Recreation and The Good Place. And it would be interesting to see what you think of Rick And Morty.
BURLINGTON BAR IN CHICAGO ❤❤🎉
Steven ogg beaten by negan and mike
thank you Sue. this would have been a travesty not to have been reacted to.
How about watching a movie that no one has reacted to on You-tube. The very first movie that George Lucus (Star Wars), ever directed which was THX 1138 with Robert Duval and Donald Plesence, and Maggie Mc Comme released in 1970. It's about a Utopian underground society where the gov. forces you to take drugs every day to control you and no one can have sex or have children and Robert Duval decides he's going to try and escape it before he gets terminated. It's a great movie that most people totally missed and most have never even heard of. It's done with a fair bit of quality and will keep you teetered on your seat. Most George Lucus films following this one have some parts of this movie's premise in them to one extent or another.
I really appreciate Steve hearing Chuck out. No, Chuck was not right in what he did, but what he's saying isn't wrong either. A very large portion of the fanbase strictly hates on him without seeing his side. Chuck is the Skyler of this show.
they see it, the thing is there's nothing redeemable with what chuck did. jimmy did nothing bad to him but instead took care of him in his lowest point of his life just to tell him he was blocking his success the whole time. with 1 right with chuck, he has a lot of wrongs to jimmy so even if people hear what he says, he is still a hateable character. in breaking bad, walter is fundamentally wrong with what he's doing, it's just that he is the clear protagonist and villain of the show so the people side with him while jimmy never did anything wrong to chuck.
Chuck created Saul Goodman period.
I love Burlington Bar reactions, but there zero chance I would want to watch any of my favorite TV shows under those circumstances. I'll be honest, as much as I LOVE reactors like you guys, I could never do it because I like watching in silence, and the idea of thinking my thoughts out loud while I am watching would distract me.
listening to chuck's statement and remembering what saul did in breaking bad, it is heartbreaking how right he ended up being
It's too good a series & important to the overall storyline....NOT.... to react to Better Call Saul right away.....while Breaking Bad & those characters are still fresh in your mind. I don't know if it would even be possible, or how someone would go about doing it unless they actually owned/had access to the DVDs.......but if you could just choose certain episodes of Breaking Bad, and go back to react to the commentary tracks.
You do know that we already reacted to Breaking Bad right? ~ Lacey
Yes.....but I meant selecting maybe one of your favorite episodes & reacting to the optional 'commentary' track.
I agree with Chuck, Jimmy won't change.
You dont even know the half of kim yet
Slippin Jimmy They are almost on season 3 on Patreon, so they know her well. They are loving the show.
If you do Dexter I will cream my pants, just saying.
You guys are so incredulous in your reactions to Chuck's reaction to Jimmy, that it looks fake. CHUCK IS RESENTFUL OF HIS BROTHER AND DOESN'T LOVE HIM. I cannot believe that nine episodes in you couldn't see this You see it now. Kim didn't want to tell Jimmy the truth that she learned from Howard (that Chuck told him he doesn't want Jimmy to be hired) because she doesn't want to hurt Jimmy's feelings. Howard was set-up as the fall guy.. This is a real Cain and Abel story. Jimmy was the favored son and Chuck is resentful and in a strange way, jealous. I mean Jimmy built a multi-million dollar case on his own merit. Chuck thinks things come easy to Jimmy and he has never helped Jimmy. Don't fall for Chuck. Chuck is a snake in the grass waiting to take Jimmy down Pretty disgusting, right? To have your own sibling value you so little. 😮
Chuck is a straight asshole ~ Lacey
We want twd
I’m anxious for the end of Season 9, but pretty sure that’ll stay on schedule for tomorrow.
You get it twice a week, like always. Youll be fine...you are welcomed to join patereon for more/sooner reactions.
