- Brad Russell demonstrates that variety of tones that this instrument is capable of.
We utilized the onboard Bartolini EQ to show it's flexibility, as well as adjusted the pickup pan pot. Brad uses many techniques to show that this bass can really do anything!
Specs:
Zon Sonus 519
Gallery Koa top
Ash body core wood
Purpleheart toneplate
Bartolini JJ Pickups
Bartolini NTMB Preamp
D'addario Nickel XL Strings
Recorded into a Zoom H4N through the D.I. output of a Gallien-Kreuger MB150.
Effects used include a Hartke Looper and Dunlop Bass Wah. There is some tasteful compression on the front end to even out the slapping and tapping.
Intro and Outro songs by Muzzi Music.
Some basslines are influenced by popular songs, and credit goes to the original artists.
Thanks for checking out the video!
Nice playing liked the chords especially , that bass has a nice tone for playing chords , flexible in sounds as well 🔥
i had that same zon bass 519 model except with a big old MM soapbar up front, it was an absolute tone monster like a p-bass and jazz bass on steroids.. but damn it was heavy!
Nice bass, and amazing playing!!
Playing “Badge” for a demo is an automatic win.
Been wanting a 519 for a long time. Is it for sale?
Sold! thanks for your interest and good luck!
Well, he's a Hell of a lot better bass player than I am...
Did you hold a radio station hostage to get this bass?
Ha, not sure what you mean, but no. I bought this in Japan 6 years ago, sold it a few years later.
No no, this was a reference to the movie Airheads when they reference Zon basses
@@briank8697 I admit I haven't seen that, but now I'm have to!
@@seanmuzzi2547 Why did you sell her? If you don't mind me asking? A bass you find to be more your thing? Thanks
