Another year, another SOTC! I didn't even bother trying to 'thin out the herd' before this one, so I have gone from 30 watches lat year, to, erm, 42 watches this year. Gulp. A few are on shaky nails though, aren't they always ; ) so let's see how many survive the next twelve months! Cheers, Jody
Every time I put one of your videos on, it doesn't matter where my better half is, she runs in to the room shouting "HELLOOOOOO". She recognises the ticking from the intro.
Hahhah! Please say Hellooooooo to your Mrs, Jamie!
@@JustOneMoreWatch you've made her day with that reply!
Since Yema is French, I think rude customer service is part of the authentic experience as a foreigner buying something French 😂
Hm, I guess you have a good point there!
😂😂👍🏻
;-)
If the watches functioned as advertised there would be no need to interact with customer service at all
I am french and totally agree !
We’re still waiting on that “State of the Drawer of Shame” end of year video ! 🤪.
Make it so number one ...
Yeah we definitely need to see that.
Yup!!! Come on Jody! You showed us your best, now show us the worst of the lot!
ROTFLMAO - I have a "Watch Box of Shame" with several in it. :-D Most that land there are eventually purged - given away to someone who wants it - or sometimes if they don't, they just get it mailed to them anyway. I'd love to see what's in his.
It’s a shame you have 42 watches yet you let those omegas sit broken. It would be cool to send them into omega and make a video about the service process and results.
I do not know why i always say "Hello and welcome to just one more watch" at the same time jajajaja
It's fun to say and rolls of the tounge lol
U n me both bruv.
I think we all do. My partner hates me for it. Hahaha.
I still say "Hello UA-cam"
I assumed we all did.
"Some of my watches got zero wrist time"
Suddenly, the MARQ (TM) method of wearing two watches at the same time makes more sense.
Yeah lol
I've been doing this and I only own two pieces 😅
I thought that was called pulling a Schwartzkopf? Not sure what Garmin has to do with this?
@@StuntpilootStef
Marc from Long Island Watches. MARQ just for the lolz.
@@Alias_Anybody I see. I was quite confused because Marq is a line of luxury smart watches made by Garmin. So I thought that you might be referring to wearing a normal and a smartwatch at the same time and that this became a thing without me knowing about it.
Yes 42 watches is the answer to Life the Universe and Everything!!! Cheers 🥂
Please review some of Casio's higher end sub-brands: Oceanus, Lineage, Edifice, Pro-trek, etc.
I should think the Oceanus and Lineage are not so good in Australia. No radio control, if I am not much mistaken.
+1 for Oceanus
YES! Best watches in entire universe and beyond.
+1 for the Pro-Trek and Edifice, +2 for the Oceanus. Never heard of Lineage.
I sold my Oceanus. I still regret doing that☹️
Been waiting all year for this. A SOTC is so important in watch collecting.
Thank you for the video. Have a great day.
That San Martin looks like a Tag Heuer to me...I could be wrong though.
I have a Vostok 24 hour Kamandirskke and i love it. I could only find ones with a diver bezel so if you get one I recommend picking up a 24 hour bezel and flipping it out. It's eazy peazy and probably the best travelers GMT for under $2000, and it barely cost $100! Switching timezones is just a twist of the bezel!
Great run through! It was fun to see what sticks with you, and cool to hear you break it down to sub-categories of wrist time. Good stuff!
I find myself watching your channel more than any others . Educational ,informative and great presenting skills that are rare on YT. Bought a couple of the watches you have featured on the strength of the reviews. Nice work!
Hiya. That breitling aerospace though! Would have needed a large and angry army to have let one of those beauties go!
That Aqua Terra really pops with quality after seeing everything else before it, a whole other level of finish
I bought myself a Bulova MarineStar early in the year and wore it until I got a Phoibos Wavemaster after watching the JOMW review. Been wearing it ever since
Hi, Jody. Lovely collection and incredible top five. The Seiko and the omega there- similar but timeless in design. Actually I am quite happy with the Yema customer service. This year I bought an Yema Superman maxi dial which was running at +18 sec- the specs for the in-house movement are +/-12 sec. I send it back under the guarantee on 11.11.20 and received serviced on 20.11.20. I am residing in Bulgaria, so super fast and accurate service and Yema staff were polite and responsive enough. True, I would have preferred COSC specification after the service but anyhow - now it runs at + 10 sec.
Great SOTC video Jody! It’s encouraging to see someone that sees a lot of watches choose some AliExpress pieces for their permanent collection. Happy holidays and here’s hoping 2021 is an improvement on 2020!
That Chinese special joke had me literally laughing out loud
I replaced my 009 bezel with a stainless steel insert and a coin edge bezel and it’s fantastic! Really brings out the rugged tool watch aesthetic, and bring out the blue dial. Orange silicone strap brings out the orange “divers 200m”
Always love to watch the JOMW state of the collection!
That Yema does look clean and crisp. I can see what you like about it. I agree with the Omega Aquaterra. It has the nice omega logo, wonderful indices and such high quality makes for great wrist presence.
25:10 My kid and I have been wearing our SKMEI Square Metals quite a bit.
Feels like Jody has strong affinity to Omegas
Definitely. Omega and Casio my two favourite brands.
@@JustOneMoreWatch same here!
@@JustOneMoreWatch better get one of the 41mm connies in for review. Maybe the black n gold?
What an update , interesting to see what have happened with your collection, it’s everytime interesting having sort of a rewind to see how everything developed. Keep up the good work, as German watch go for Sinn, they have as well nice dress watches, though I would see somehow there a 356 in your collection. Happy 1 st of advent and keep up the good work 🙏🏻
I have been wearing my Casio 5600E a lot more since I modded it and made it metal. The original strap was too small for my 8" wrist. Your Detroit Mint is totally bonkers!
That Navitimer is gorgeous and looks perfect on your wrist. Definitely my favorite of your collection. Congrats on owning it.
The value of the Detroit Mint and such a great company makes it worth owning. I love mine and use it while driving one of my vintage cars makes for all around fun drive.
Great variety to your collection. Really enjoyed the video. The Zelos skeleton watch and the Gerlach LED digital watch stood out (if only it had an auto turn on when you tilted the wrist.) Both stunning watches. Have to agree that the Omega Seamaster Aqt pips them to the post though - what a beauty!
Love the Zelos in your collection. Have two Mako v3.5s and had a V1 Skyraider. That San Martin is very nice as well!
As a kid I had Timex wind ups, then Casio hit the market with the digitals and I loved them. I started looking for grail watches and dismissed the cheapies, but they didn't really fill the void. I've rediscovered Casios and I am happier. Got an F91 and a GW5610 that my kid loves to borrow, getting a G-Shock Ani-Digi when I find the right one. I now prefer something that makes me smile on my wrist than chasing rainbows. But if something does pop up, I'll get it as I can always flip it later.
I picked up a Casio 5600 on you recommendation for $45 US and free shipping from Walmart. I intended to get the metal mod from Ali, but decided to keep it stock as a beater. Glad to see it get so much wrist time from you!
Surely, the Omega needs demagnetising? I wear my watches on a rotational basis, but can't help putting my Davosa Argonautic Lumis on when nobody is looking.
My best purchase of the week: The Weishi 1000 timegrapher. Since my modest collection of timepieces consists mainly of wrist watches under 100 $, a timegrapher is very useful to adjust the sometimes wide deviations. My black Loreo was running 25 seconds too fast in a day. Since the adjustment it is around 0 seconds, quite a difference.
Loving the brushed centre links on the Omega aqua terra
My Casio World Time is one of my favourite if not the favourite watch, 18€ total, minus 1-2 seconds per month, ten year battery and ALL the functions which don't require some extra sensor. It's just a beast. If the resin strap dies some day, it will go on either a black 18mm mesh or a red&black zulu.
I look forward to these every year Jody. Thank you for another amazing STOC 😊👍
I have the SARB 035 cream, and only wear it with non-metal straps, Vario leather in ‘espresso’ colour way for example to give a wonderful Coffee & Cream look.
Now do a SOTC "Mr. X" version!
The Mr. X Update is overdue 🤞
You have an amazing and diverse collection, Jody! Love these SOTC vids! I'd like to do some SOTC vids myself, but I'm not sure how to manage it with so many watches. I mean, I'm one of those nutters you sometimes refer to when talking about Zelos (my Zelos subcollection is as big, or bigger, than most folks entire collection). Or, like you, I love Casios and my house is full of Casio rabbits too. Maybe I just need to break it down into 10 or so smaller vids. Anyway, great video!
Still chunky but funky! Thanks for the fun video!
Carbuncle!!! 😂🤣
My two favorites are the aqua terra and the Navitimer.....the Navitimer is perfect with your leather strap! Its amazing.
Wear it more often.. 👍😎❤🤙💥
I can't blame you for that Omega being #1, and it's the perfect every day watch. I also 100% agree with your decision to brush the mid-links. It looks much better that way.
As always this is my holiday favorite I am at about 30 watches for this year and try to keep the number between 24 and 36 each year. That said, I had the same issue with the Doxa, go with a quality rubber or silicone for it and search for a quality Doxa buckle that will fit it. It kept it in my perm collection, with the Oris 65, the Captain Cook and the Original Waltham Diver, I also have that pre bond in my collection since 1988, and of course the original bin laden casio that one on wrist since I was 14 in 1980. Cheers from Boston.
I only have one watch in common with your collection, just goes to show how much variety is out there.
I tend to find the newest watch gets the most wrist time, until I get another new one, at the moment it’s a Steinhart vintage red on a vintage leather strap, early in the new year it will be a Marloe Haskell Sand.
Very nice collection Jody, congrats. That Quangin, I cant stand it, still 🤣
Nice collection. I’m surprised the Casio MRW-200H isn’t in there. It has had a lot of wrist time for me this year and looked spectacular in the pool on a lucky holiday to the island of Rhodes I was able to get in a month or so ago.
The formex really was a dark horse, was not expecting you'd wear that one much
Posh G shock! Love that!
Wrist time makes complete sense for us and a good accounting tool for you too. Cheers Jody 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍😎
Love that Zelos! I know whats coming next in my box. The hands on the San Martin are killer.
If you’re in the market for a German watch in 2021, I highly recommend Damasko. I just bought myself a DS30 Ocean on bracelet for Christmas, and I love it. Super thin, super legible, and, with the bead blasted ice hardened and submarine steel, super tooltastic. If nothing else, I’d love to see a review. I’m sure Mr. X could find the money for one in his couch cushions, lol.
I just picked up my Damasko DS-30 from the post office today! If you want to add a German watch to the collection, try one of those!
I'd love to see your take on the Geckota G-02 (auto PT5000 movement) and G-01 (auto and/or quartz versions)!
would like to hear your methods for moving/selling your watches. thanks and great segment as always!
Jody, awesome "state of the collection" video, a really nice line up that is for sure! I guess once the collection gets that big, it is harder to wear all of the watches, even the ones you like but that is how it goes. I have a big collection, and even as I try to give them wear time, I find myself going for certain ones most times. Anyway, great video as always!
The Aqua Terra looks so much better with the brushed center links. Great move 👍🏼
18 in my collection so far, mostly chinese specials, which includes 3 pagani's, 2 Carnivals 1 of which I recently bought and for £85 is simply stunning, 1 starking, a sinobi an Ouyawei which is a skeleton watch and gets an awful lot of wrist time. 2 Bulova's a fossil and 2 other fashion watches plus a few other cheapies from China. My Bulova marinestar gets a lot of love as does the fossil blue, but if it werent for the mrs id probably have another 10 chinese specials 😁
I really need to do a SOTC video myself. I think I might have close to the same number of watches as you now Jody. I'll do it for the 1 year anniversary of the channel I think.
I’m with you with on a ‘no date’ watch with the exception of Casio’s etc. which obviously don’t need changing . It’s a right pain in the arse having to change the day/date on a watch I don’t wear on a daily basis. Cheered me right up (and less guilty) watching your ‘State of the Watch Collection. 😎
Watching this and my partner says, "Are you still looking at watches?" I said no, this is a video! Lol! Nice work Jody! Just added a Zelos carbon dial to the collection and nearing that 200 mark. Time to flip some so I can add others.
I’m watching this in August 2021 and having a chuckle. We’re currently locked down in Auckland and I’ve purchased 5 watches since then… funded by selling shares I picked up cheaply during our first lockdown in March 2020.
Polished centre links was what steered me from AT to Explorer. The brushed bracelet looks great, Omega please take heed. 🙂
Hey jody, can u review the steinhart ocean one 39 with the updated ceramic bezel?
Great video I love the first omega and the last omega are both fabulous 👍 thanks Jody
Loved the Omega 34mm and the Komandirskie GMT!!!
Agree about the San Martin rubber strap would be nice.
your mod watch featured at 12:21, can you please tell me more about that, it looks great. much appreciated. keep up the good work
I love your channel, Jody...you give watch enthusiasts a good name! Re your lack of a German watch for your permanent collection, I recommend a Sinn, specifically their 38.5mm pilot's chronograph model 356. I've got the now discontinued 356 Sa GR (Sa = sapphire (fyi, they have the same watch with acrylic for significantly cheaper), and GR = gangsreserve or something like that, German for power reserve), and it's one of my top three favorite watches (and my/my wife's collection includes Rolex, Zenith, IWC, Omega, Longines, Glycine, Squale, Seiko, a vintage Leonidas, plus any cheap heritage-esque-looking solar-powered thing I can find). The readily available 356 Sa is the same as my Sinn except that it has a day-o'-week window in lieu of the power reserve. I'm guessing it costs ~ $3200 as my pricier power reserve model cost me $3K back in 2016. Given your...how shall I say?...good Scotsmanship, it would likely be your second most expensive watch, but I don't think that you'd feel one iota of buyer's remorse. It's a fantastic looking and feeling watch, so well built, and I don't just use the chronograph to cook pasta...if you're creative, there are endless ways to use the chrono and pretend that it's coming in handy. Like you, I have a 7" wrist, and my Sinn 356 is my most flattering watch, rugged and masculine yet refined due to the modest size and to the excellent build quality. Mine's got an ETA, and I believe they now use SW...nothing special, but that's the reason it's not $5K...everything else is like a $5K watch.
2019 SOTC: 29 MIN
2020 SOTC: 39 MIN
2021 SOTC: 49 MIN!? 😂
🤣 I noticed that! Potentially!
how many watches are they in total?
@@JustOneMoreWatch how many watches are they in total?
By 2025 it may be time for mini series
I like so many watches including dress watches for “the office,” even though I don’t work in an office anymore!
Your Vostock’s are bananas 🍌! I’ve got to pick one up!
Happy New Year
Thanks for the great vid
2020... what A year Jody!! 👏👏👏
Thank you for putting the ad at the end. I actually watched the advert in full as a way of appreciating a full uninterrupted video. Ads should go at beginning or end or both. Happy to watch them to support the channel. Nice watch collection although I don’t think I could do more than ten in mine. I look forward to the German watch coming soon to your collection. Should we expect a Laco Pilot?
I can't imagine having more than 5 watches. You're a real player!
That yema is nice! But the p niece looking markers are hard to overlook.
Hey Jody. I was sorry to see the Aerospace go - we spoke a few years ago about it in the early days of your channel because it was the watch that your man the Great Iain Banks wore. Good to still see him on your shelf though! All the best.
Still trying to hack my way through Surface Detail, now on audio book........ 😬
@@JustOneMoreWatch Ah, what I'd give for Just One More Culture novel...
For the green modded LOREO, where did you buy the lumed bezel? I've been looking for a green bezel in that shade forever! I wanted that classic Kermit bezel look
Epic man, really enjoyed the roundup
Love the breitling navitimer, beautiful! Love your videos as always!
I wish you would try a Omega NATO strap. They are bullet proof and cleaned up nicely. The Orange with black trim one looks like brown leather when it gets wet. My wife and kids got it for me on Father’s Day and it is now my favorite.
such a wacky collection haha great vid! and that Aqua Terra is just mouth watering.
Except for the Casio affinity, we have a lot of the same taste in watches! I noticed you like Omega and Vostok brands. I love them. Of course I also love Bulova, Seiko, Wohler, and Nautis brands a lot. My budget is lower than yours but I’m working my way up to mid priced low end! LOL
Love this format. Really informative to know how much wrist time each watch gets.
Where did you get the lume pip bezel insert for the Loreo? I wanna do the same thing with the milled clasp too to a black one.
To describe your collection in one word I would say it's crazy, in a positive way of course.
Wearing a Pagani while working on the car, makes sense.
You'd probably wear a Richard Mille if you were working on your Pagani :D

I truly enjoyed every minute of this!!
I just picked up a loreo, it came in today! I was definitely not a fan of the bracelet, that pressed clasp felt really unbalanced for my small wrists. Luckily I had a spare glidelock style bracelet laying around, I’ve been really happy with it. I got a good one too, almost no bezel bounce or backplay. It’s always a gamble when you’re on a musician’s budget but I think I got the jackpot. Love the videos, keep it up!
That San Martin reminds of the Oris MOMO jeans special Collab watch you loaned from Oris, maybe because of the denim strap 🤷♂️
That second Omega looks v.nice.
11:20 Almost spat out my beer.
Hahahah same.
My favorite type of video from my favorite watch youtuber :)
Hi Jodi. I like the Casio watches just like you and have many of them. This year, Timex caught my taste, especially the Ironman ones. I got the Ironman Essential TW5M14500 and Ironman Endure T5K195. I really love them and they have got a lot of my wrist time since bought. What I really like about the Timex Ironman (Casio watches don't quite have) watches is the big & clean display. I am curious to know your thought. Thanks for the SOTC video.
Nice lineup brother. I like the Casioak but my favorite Casio is the Illuminator and Duro series. Got my eye on new watch by Vanbanner, a Canadian company. It's going to scratch my itch for a Zenith Defy.
Yes! Genuinely as excited for this as I am for six nations. Sunday afternoon I'll put your sotc on my TV, grab a beer and forget about everything else for 40 minutes. What could be better?
🤣 Thanks Callum!
Some amazing watches in there. Massive fan of that Formex, wish they'd find my social media haha
Surprisingly, I really like that Doxa Jack-o'-lantern 😅🎃
I ordered a signum cuda no date meteorite dial this week, can't stand the wait lol
I was expecting 41 Vostocks... some nice watches in there Jody. Happy collecting in 2021.
I am happy with my Yema so far, no issues. Nice collection! That Navitimer is a beauty!
