I am a nephrologist and kidney doctor who believes that the best tool to reduce the burden of kidney disease globally is not medication, lab tests, or even genetics research. Instead, knowledge of kidney disease can best protect our kidneys.
This channel is part of the kidney disease awareness project I have worked on for years. It started with long conversations with kidney patients in the office and hospital. During these conversations, I was perplexed to see patients’ lack of knowledge about their kidney disease.
To fill this gap, I developed a blog for kidney disease patients, “Kidneyblogs.com,” where patients could find the correct information-and access a nephrologist for kidney-related questions. But then, I realised that not all Urdu- and Hindi-speaking patients could read English, and many preferred listening. This revelation led to the formation of the UA-cam channel you will explore.

Im glad to learn about autoimmune conditions being a cause of kidney damage.
Fortunately i found a reliable concerned team of doctors who have helped me overcome my autoimmune problems.
General physician,rheumatologist, haematologolist nephrologist and gasteoenterologist are the ones i need to see as reqd.
But i did need to visit a number of them until i connected with those who listened to me and talked to each other also to find the best route of treatment for me.

My husband has turned his life style around for the better and is now seeing results.
I have more understanding of my kidney function. And other than nephrology i have made an appointment for a mammo now that im 40 and also found out i have osteoarthiritis for which i have started strength exercises. I have taken my kids for basic medical check ups too.
I encouraged my father to see his dr .. he found out he had pleural effusion and a possible aneurysm in heart.
Fortunately checked in time and treated . He is now enjoying much better health than his peers.
This is the impact these videos made on our family.

I went through the Glomerular Diseases part with great interest repeatedly in which it is mentioned 11 tests , including Urinalysis, ACR & Creatinine Clearence test.
But are we having any single test to ruleout Glomerular Disease ? - like BP & HbA1C .
From your previous videos I learnt that leakage of protein in urine is the test to ruleout Glomerular Diseases
Your videos are Encyclopaedias to everyone irrespective of their social status.

There is no single test to diagnose a glomerular disease. But proteinuria almost always suggests some glomerular damage. To find out which glomerular disease you have we often do a number of tests I mention in the video, often also requiring a kidney biopsy for confirmation.
Is increase C4 indication of autoimmune disorder or something else ?it's 0.46gm/L...Ana or c3 report they r normal..(c4 reference range 0.36)

is creatinine test and urine test result is the only test to evaluate kidney problem ?
e.g if only 1 kidney is infected then creatinine, urine and other blood test will be normal.
(problem happened due to hydroureteronephrosis , atrophic one kidney due to kidney stone)

I had bitter experience with nephrologist, was diagnosed FSGS in 1994 via biopsy. Under treatment at JPMC, Karachi, under supervision of Professor Dr. Shabnam, than Professor Dr. Oosmani. Now registered at SUIT, till now no medicine for FSGS, only trying to control hypertension. After watching yr videos, asked them to give me ARB'S, or other medicine, reply, I don't need them. Had consulted privately, same answer. Hydralzine 25 mg, morning n evening. Creatinine 1.5 to 1.7. I am a cardiac n prostate patient also, age 73, on healthy diet n walk. Yr comments pls.

Sir you can have any of the glomerular diseases. Please see a nephrologist for proper diagnosis and treatment
