the love and appreciation i have for these finches is so unfathomable that i cannot possibly put my feelings into words so you will have to trust me when say im sitting in front of my computer screen with the biggest smile and saying "finchies" over and over.
I love Zebra Finches. They have got to be best birds you could ever own and Canaries too. I have a huge indoor aviary with all natural willow branches in. Sadly I lost all my babies but the finches have laid some more eggs so hopefully this time around they will make it. They make such wonderful sounds I could watch them for hours while relaxing enjoying there bird song.
There was one finch, I couldn't tell if it was alive or not, but it wasn't begging for food or rather was being crushed under the others. it looked really rather underdeveloped as compared to the others. Poor thing. it's a common occurrence, though. it's a great video! I love those little buggers.

Did anyone notice one of the babies looked dead or is sleeping bc it didn’t wake up when another finch went on top of it focus on the right bottom side
The simple answer is that moisture is provided through the insects and worms that the adults bring to the nestlings. But wait... Not all birds eat insects, what about them.
