I sacrificed a window envelope to use as a template and removed the clear part so I could trace the opening onto my cover paper.

Why Brandy, looks as though, you work into the same amount of space I do, on the glass mat (LOL.). Like your envelope belly band and corner pocket.

Thank you. I always start with a lot of space then end up with none. Lol.

That was fun! I enjoy seeing how crafters make things! I like the belly band, and the tag that you made to go inside it! Thanks for sharing this! ~Janet in Canada

Hi! 🙋🏻‍♀️. I know it's 3 year later, but I just had to comment on something. I am currently in the same boat that you were when you did this video - waiting for my first Etsy journal sale (that ISNT family or friend) and getting very discouraged and wanting to give up. AND, I also have one of those amazing cheerleader husband's. 🤭lol. 🙏🏻thank goodness for them!🙏🏻 I came across your video because I am making my first halloween themed junk journal and I am lacking for ideas. I just did a youtube search for "halloween ephemera" and your video popped up! I am really excited because I've only watched the first 8 mins and I can already tell that I will love this video and get really inspired. So, thank you so much for sharing this project. 🙏🏻 I used to struggle with envelope windows too. I'm sure by now you have a really easy and quick way to cover the envelope but not the window. For now, my process is opening up an envelope completely; putting my cover paper inside the envelope and tracing the window directly onto my paper. If the window already has acetate or vellum, then I use my score tool to trace the window onto my paper. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just wanted to share my idea in case someone is reading this and is looking for a way to do it. I REALLY hope you have made a BUNCH of sales by now! 💸💖🏷💫🧾✨️🏷 Thank you again for sharing this video! I SO needed some inspiration. 🫂🙏🏻

Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate you sharing your ideas with me and others who may watch this video. I pretty much use the score tool method now on envelopes too.
I hope you get a sale on your Etsy shop soon. I’ve had my shop closed for a couple of years now, but I did get a few sales.
I’m so glad you were inspired. I’m hoping to be making more Halloween themed videos in the coming weeks. I hope you’ll find more inspiration.
Thank you so much for watching!!

Very clever. Perhaps the idea came from someone else, but you made it your own by your creative choices of papers and images. Love it. The "Belly Band" will also make excellent bookmarks for my clients.
