- Children who will become kings and queens in the future. Elizabeth, Crown Princess of Belgium (age 22). Catharina-Amalia, Princess of the Netherlands (age 19). Ingrid Alexandra, princess of Norway (age 19). Christian, Prince of Denmark (age 18). Leonor, Princess of Spain (age 18). Estelle, Princess of Sweden (age 11). George, Prince of the United Kingdom (age 10). Jacques, Crown Prince of Monaco (age 8).
And some of them are related to each other too. All thanks to queen Victoria for marrying her 5 daughters off to a European royal

George of England is also the next-next since his father is the Crown heir at present. But given the passage of enough time and assuming they all continue well and healthy with no calamities, these young people will all eventually be sovereigns of their countries. That was the spirit of what I intended to say.

Leonor has grown into such a lovely young woman. Crazy how fast she’s grown up. Don’t know much at all about the others. Prince George of England of course I’m aware of. Some of the rest I didn’t even know had monarchies still lol
When Leonor and InFanta Sofia We’re little girls They looked almost like twins. Now Sofia has developed her own look Which is a bit unexpected… She’s darker than her sister and has a less ethereal and more modern look. These two sisters remind me so much of Elizabeth and Margaret in their dynamic. When I see them with king Felipe, I think Leonor must be his pride and perhaps his youngest is his joy. I hope that Sophia has an excellent life in the shadow of the crown and can be happy with her role in a way that princess Margaret never was. I think the younger siblings tend to be the more extroverted ones. When they were children, they both agreed that Margo would make the better queen In terms of the public role Because her sister was shy and Margaret definitely wasn’t. The shy sister grew up to be Queen, Often surprising everyone with how well she took to the job despite her youth, and her only sister and best pal and playmate was left twice- when Elizabeth got married and then when her father died and her sister became her sovereign. That would be weird. Margaret was so vivid, I always thought it was a real shame that her life in the 1950s and 1960s had to be so circumscribed for A woman, even a princess. Margaret was encouraged to make a good marriage, look pretty and support the crown. She was a bright spark who yearned and to do more. She would’ve been great giving filmed guided tours of various palaces… Which is a project that Catherine could take up. Catherine studied art history at Saint Andrews and photography is a passion. She is currently wrapped up in her children and her early years initiative, but perhaps after they are all in upper school, she will pick up with the art again. A guided tour through some of the painting collection in the various palaces would be very welcome as a program I should think. Edward the documentary filmmaker, mostly about family history, before his marriage it gave him something to do… Could help. Consorts and number twos Have to largely create their own roles. Margaret was the patron of many charities But she was at a loose end for most of her life after she was denied the man of her choice; she retaliated by marrying a completely unsuitable and cruel person in Tony Armstrong Jones but Tony had a wit and style And a manner that endeared himself to everyone except perhaps his wife term he said the most vile things like ‘ I hope you die”. Even after they divorced Tony was a fixture at court and continue to take all of the palace portraits. Having her family side with Her husband over her really Stung Margaret. Their two children look just like their father and not at all like their royal mother. And that is really off the track from Leonor and Sofia. The spares have to be careful to choose the right path and be more like Anne and not like Margaret or Harry. If someone can be happy at number two position, there’s a lot of perks and privileges and much more freedom to pursue interesting things than the monarch who hast to wear the crown. Their days are filled with meetings, audiences, medal award ceremonies and the paperwork of state. Younger siblings can express themselves a lot more creatively. Their public role is a lot less constraining than it will be on the sibling that has to reign. Sure, the top job has very glamorous parts To it, but there’s a lot of drudgery too- Bureaucratic stuff. I think spares get to have more fun if they look at it with that attitude.

They are mostly not scandinavian. The Swedish royal family has mostly german heritage. Estelle has a mix of german, french, Swedish, finnish, brazilian and lots other stuff from her parents

At least the monarchs nowadays have had an elite education and were raised to rule successfully the country, not like politicians who (at least in my country) sometimes don't even have a degree and only got into their positions through corruption, political sleight of hand (tricks) and party nepotism
