Have never made these but have owned them. The liquid only evaporates if not sealed properly, and if they do unseal the liquid sticks to everything due to age. A warning for you is that the liquid can separate over time depending on what kind you use, so best to use ones that are mostly oil.
Its better to use plastic/metal and not wood sticks or stirrers.. they hold air and release more bubbles. Also you need to wear gloves and a face mask with respirator... resin is hazardous and breathing it in is dangerous.
