I was in Toronto as a tourist at the end of 1999 and visited Sam The Record Man. I remember that I bought 2 Camel album: Rajaz and Harbor of Tears Great experience!
My first visit to Sam's on Yonge St was in the Fall of 1969. I was 12 and my older brother who was going to Ryerson took me for there one day as he was hunting for a few LP's! I thought that place was so cool as well as all those long haired "dudes' hangin' around! Great vid here, thanks!
I've been collecting records since I was 3 years old 👶🏻 Finding a record store is always a big priority for me when visiting any city 🙏 Buying a record is my idea of buying a souvenir. Sure! I also sometimes buy tacky tourist souvenirs such as shot glasses or pens. Years and sometimes decades later I STILL have the records but I have no idea what ever happened to all those pens and shot glasses 🤷♂️ I also try to get a business card from the shop any time I purchase a record. I try to save receipts and price stickers too. It's kind of interesting to see what I paid for certain records years ago 😁
Very cool ! Good idea for some new videos. 😎👍
I have some new ones in the works....

Yes, records are great souvenirs! I leave the price tags on so I can remember years later where I bought them. :)
