Very nice demo. I like how such a simple circuit can produce such useful results. I'll be using this idea. Thanks.
I like this channel, because Ludic explains practical solutions in very simple way.
Never seen a prototyping method like yours. Very innovative actually.
Thanks but is not new, it is called Manhattan style
Manhattan style, good to know, thanks!
@@ludicscience Can we safely give +ve input to Gate and a +ve supply to source>> to have a +ve output ? as i want to trigger a high trigger relay.
The best part might be the protective diode for the SCR parallel to the coil. Thanks for that. I like you PCB technique.
Thanks!. Because of you im grasping the electronics applications
Thank you, you make electronics simple and fun!
A nice wee circuit.
This is the first time I've been able to look at the circuit drawn out and been able to completely understand it on paper. All of It, and what each component is doing to each part of the circuit. I know it's just a simple little circuit but when you don't know it would be as well being a massive schematic drawing.
Well happy! 😎👅
PERFECT, I like it
Kurz und Bündig, sehr Gut weiter so !
Good Job!
What is the circuit diagram after insertion of potentiometer and relay?
Cool circuit
Nice job 👍
you have a great channel here, keep it up...
You've got a great way to explain solid fundamentals concepts!! Thanks a lot for that!! one little feedback if I may, is the loud intro/outro sound 😉...
Which transistor used in this
Subscription earned! I had this exact same idea as a way to make this stupid cat toy turn itself off after awhile, but it seemed too simple to be effective. Thank you, seeing that it does work I’m now confident in going ahead with the modification.
HELP:can i replace the led with dc motor? if the answer is yes, since we are using 12V battery what voltage dc motor spec should i choose?
Hello! Can anyone tell me, can I use an analogically circuit for ac 220v with another nominals of components? I need to make a simple turn off delay for door ringing. Im in Ukraine and we have problems with electricity because of war, and I created an alarm to wake up me when electricity is back. But I want a turn off timer to prevent it ringing forever if I left home and left the ringer on, forgot to turn it off.
Sorry my question is if we need more delay like 20 sec, what we should change? I am a very beginner in electronics
That's a very neat circuit, however i was wondering, could you use a TRIAC instead of the relay to control higher power ?
Anyway, i've subbed and thumb-upped so that i can watch more videos from you
Ludic Science, How do I control the delay more precisely?
I would like to power a LED strip using a 9V battery for 60 seconds (maybe 120 seconds) when a momentary button is pushed, naturally where the LED strip gets a constant voltage.

I used a bc547 and it didn't work, any help?
Ok but I need to change something
I need to use delay circuit in over head tank...
Working procedure as follows
When tank full float switch will switch on and then buzzer as to switch on for 30 sec. And it auto cut-off da buzzer and then again water goes low again top up again itas to take da same procedure
Very clear and informative video. Thanks for sharing!
what if the button is pressed and not released, will the circuit disconnect regardless
Thank you so much. It's very useful.
Sir plz make a circuit that auto on / off with veriable resistor
Hi, thanks for the video. I’ve did a similar circuit. But i have a problem with the switch button. I’m now using a latching switch button to get the LED light turn on and turn itself off after about 5secs. To do that again, I’ll have to press the latching switch button back to up position and then press it down again to activate the delay off circuit. Please advise is it possible to replace the latching switch to a momentary switch button to have the same delay off circuit? I’ve tried using a momentary switch button. But I’ll have to press and hold onto it in order to get the LED turn on and turn off itself after 5secs. How to not press and hold onto the switch? Can i email you the items i used for the circuit?
Is their any 3mm LED dimmer circuit that can work without 555 timer or microcontroller but can do linear dimming with least components?
I really like how you use small PCB squares over a "ground" base for your test circuit. It really makes interconnections between parts easy to follow. Great teaching trick!
I'd never seen that before... It's brilliant!
It is called Manhattan style
Ludic Science
Yeah, saw that below... can't believe I never saw that! Checking out other versions now. Thanks! 👍
What about if we replace the push button switch with relay power input?
Super and simple. Can it be changed to on delay timer?
Thanks! Worked Great!
How to bypass the timer for device that shuts off ?
This circuit would be great for making an automated liquid refreshment dispenser as it could be timed to pour the liquid for any amount of time. You could get a perfect pour each time.
the idea in this circuit is also used in washing machines to keep the door closed for some time after operation.
se voglio che l'accensione duri un minuto il condensatore e la resistenza a quanto devono corrispondere?
which Value of MOSFET use?
If you do not remove your hand from the key, will the light remain bright?
Yes. The delay only starts after the button is no longer being pressed.
Dear bro
What is MOSFET no?
Hi what value or part number is the mosfet for the timer circuit
So simple and fantastic!
can i use 24 volts dc power supply
This looks like it would do the trick to keep my aftermarket rear backup camera signal on for a few moments after the reverse is disenganged. That way, the headunit will not cut off the video signal immediately, which is a little bit annoying when manoeuvring
Edit: not reall. I need a hard turn off, only accomplished with something like a comparator driving the MOSFET.
Do Not Read My Name.
nice! can i use irfz44 mosfet?
Yes
Sir in the video u have used variable resistor in place of fixed resistor. Please show the VR pin connections u made in the circuit.
sir in case you replace the resistor with Variable resistor.,if the VR shaft crank to 0 ohms it will get short the power supply when someone press the switch. need to put 1 resistor between switch and vcc
Thank you sir for make it easy
Which gate is it?
Capacitor voltage how much?

Dear can you tell me how to make power on delay timer for IR (Infrared) Obstacle Detection Sensor? when an obstacle comes to the front of the sensor and relay on for 1-10 second and then off automatic and it on when an obstacle comes again after 5 seconds.
Sir can you show circuit for specific Tim on and specific time of. For example 10second off 3second on and again 10second of for ropot perose
Its power off time delay not power on time delay😃
:D
With a relay as load, it can be both.
Even at the same time. Ta-da! Magic! ;-)
Simplicity is great! But... for high current and long time delays, do NOT use this circuit. Relay's need decent voltage to force contacts correctly. For delays >10 sec, mosfet will be in linear mode during disconnect causing greater contact arcing.
That's good advice ✌
At 12v using a 6v relay in series with a popular 5 to 6v zener diode can make relay disconnect faster.
Nice... Simple and clear explanation.
Amazing idea
What is the number of the mosfet, this is great just what i need for my project
can we make this circuit 9v and 3amh ?
Nice
ma il mosfet che modello è?
Saudações LS Ludic Science. Saudações a todos. Interessante. Um circuito temporizador eletrônico muito útil. Aumentando o valor do capacitor é possível aumentar o tempo de acionamento? Parabéns. Tudo de bom.
Si
Obrigado. Tudo de bom.
its not power on delay...its power off delay
good demo, how to increase time 3 to 4 hrs
Usefull
Nice. What is the mosphet number
I think we can use any transistor not only mosfet for this trigger
what is maximum time delay we can get with this circuit
do you know to make this work from being powered, ie. without the need for the switch
Led= "el" "i" "di"
I use PCBWay all the time and they're great! Amaris is my liaison and she makes sure everything runs smoothly. If I accidentally cross a trace, they catch it and their pricing models are the best. I recommend them to everyone.
Great
Is this a monostable multivibrator?
definitiv useful!
Very useful
Thanks
Is there anything to control the Ampere for controlling the peltier temperature?
get something that can adjust the voltage, google 'voltage regulator' adjust the voltage low enough you will start effecting the current.

Basic electronic question: Can someone please tell me how the resistor which is connected in parallel affects the output of the capacitor? I mean there's no obstruction between the two leads of the capacitor
the capacitor keeps charge like a battery. there is never (Ideally) a direct connection from the 2 wires of the capacitor. Without a resistor the led would remain on (ideally)
Think of the resistor you refer to as a water hose, slowly draining the current ( water ) from the tank ( capacitor ) until there is none left to apply to the mosfet gate. The mosfet requires so little current to stay switched on, it would remain on for a very long time without the resistor drain. Hope this helps.
good

How can i control current for peltier application?
You probably just want a buck converter module with a constant current mode - that's not the simplist way, but it is easiest, because you can buy boards with all the parts on as pre-assembled modules off a lot of eBay or Amazon sellers. Just look for 'DC-DC converter' and 'CC' and you should be in the right area.
Can the light stay on for an hour?
yes it just needs to be calculated www.allaboutcircuits.com/tools/capacitor-Charge-and-time-constant-calculator/ for high current applications however not realy, the relay requires a good current to stay open. if you want your house light to stay on for instance go to a electronics store and get a proper timer.
ok ha
You have not explained which value diode, how much ohms potentiometer, mosphet used, it's rating etc. Then why unnecessarily showing half explained videos.
👌👌👌💖💖✌✌☺☺👌👌👌
