Jerry thankyou for the review/ comparison it was just driving me crazy with this TRX knock off crap. As I stated I have the FMS & the TRX4 2021 Bronco & the Sport let’s let this end it is not even close to a TRX. My TRX’s sit & I’m out running the FMS. I’m so happy with the FMS I believe it’s one of the best RC’s out. Mine is the same color of yours for the same reasons you explained. I’d definitely run it against the TRX4 everyone thinks is a knockoff. After I got mine my thought was that you’d love this truck. I had a chance to talk to the owner of FMS & saw the FMS before it even came out & knew I had to have it. Thank you again I’m loving the content & can’t wait to see them run against each other. Side note I think I’d be happy with the rain it was 110 deg. yesterday but I’m working out of town & when I get back I’m excited to get the FMS out. 👍
Iam loving the rain to, it's been close to 90 most of the last month and in alaska that's murder! Glad we agreed on the fms can't believe people can't just enjoy a excellent new truck without all the haters 😀
Add in the redcat Gen 8 . We are buying the fcx10 in November. We are waiting on our MJX ALLROCK H8H , my wife got the pink ice cream body & I got the yellow . It would be nice if you could compare the trx 4 , fms , Gen 8 and the Allrock together .
I like the sqrbdy trucks. I have a 76 k20 long bed and I put a 4in lift on it and it has 35 in tires we rebuilt the 350 it has in it and has a 4spd manual transmission and 4.10 diffs. It used to be really slow with no overdrive and 4.10s but with 35s I think the gearing is pretty good now.the door sill is 28inches off the ground! its a small leap to get in
@@gerrysoldguyreview do you edit on your phone or on a computer?I have been trying to make a decent video but they are narrow and empty space on the sides and poor resolution. My newest one was made on a different app and is a little better cause I found music
@Bonitacreekrcs iam old I don't know how to edit! I use a Samsung Galaxy s10 phone I have 2 different stands that hold the phone sideways for the wide view. It's a one take deal for me mistakes and all I like my videos to be as real as the can be!

Great video Gerry, good details you've done up on the that lexan body. Isn't any crawler kinda similar to any other crawler? I mean only so many different setups and variations your gonna have so yah there all kinda gonna reassemble the other. I like FMS give the option of removable topper, I do not care for the way it looks without the topper but thats just my opinion. I'm like you I try and stay unbiased because I'm not sponsored or bought and paid for by anyone. Its hard to watch these sponsored channels give a supposedly unbiased opinion sometimes. To me FMS sit back and kinda just took the best ideas from everyone 😆.

People saying the fcx10 is a knock off of the TRX4 is like saying that vanquish vs410 and element Enduro is a rip off of the scx10ii. Traxxas fanboys also forget that Traxxas literally got their start by copying Associated and Losi
Hate to bear the bad news but the og vs410 was almost a direct copy of the scx10.2 even the transmission was the same but the axles,transmission housing, bumpers and sliders were aluminum . Battery was sideways though 😒 but the current vs410 is totally different! Also the element has many similar items. Until you said it though I never compared the at all or thought it must be cause I just like to enjoy them and don't care if things are similar. All company's borrowed from each other in the older days and no one really cared😁😁
@@gerrysoldguyreview Exactly. The Axial 10ii was the catalyst of what an RC crawler is back in the day. Element took a lot from that platform but, IMO, approved on the faults of the 10.2. Element placed the battery like the vs410, overdrive built into the transmission, steel links out of the box (the 10.2 was all plastic back then), but everything is very similar. I think another reason why element went off the 10.2 was for the aftermarket. A lot of 10.2 aftermarket parts can be used on the element line. C hubs, knuckles, chassis braces and so on. So introducing a new crawler brand that had aftermarket access off the rip really helped. Just like the rc buggy, rc crawlers can only evolve so much. The fcx10 is a great platform and great value. I love all the competition we have in the RC crawler community because it pushes innovation!
Diversity breeds innovation! The first scx10 I feel was the grandfather of all current rigs! And I totally agree about the aftermarket a motivated builder could make a great truck using parts from 3 different company's at least. I to miss the days of buying a kit to get more goodies, hell most rtrs don't even come with extra stickers
@@gerrysoldguyreview Right! I am grateful for the RTR market for it allows new hobbyist a way into the hobby. Like me. When I first joined the hobby in 2019, my first RC ever was an Element Trailwalker RTR. After breaking a few things, fixing, upgrading, I was comfortable enough to buy my first kit. Which was the Element builders kit 1. I definitely prefer a kit now to a RTR. I have a stock pile of electronics and would much rather build it myself so I know it's right. Plus, like you mentioned, I love the "extra goodies" you get when building a kit. The only kits I know of now is the new vanquish kits, and I'm not even sure if you get anything extra and the element builders kit 2. Which, even it had been out of stock everywhere for a while and not sure what is going on with it. I know HPI has a kit, but I don't know much about it since I haven't built one. Anyways, RTR have their place but kits definitely need to make a come back!
It's a toss up fms makes a nice scale interior that is made from lexan, I feel a 3d printed interior would make a top heavy body heavier and this rig can sure do more then just trail!😁😁
I actually think the Canyon Trails are the better of the rtr tires IMO wow didn't realize people hated them that bad. Ling Long 😂😂😅! You are correct the Trx4 are tanks, as for Rc4wd they aren't even in same classification if rig they are scale trail rigs, these lexan rugs are more trail basher monster trucks in comparison. They all need gone through out da box no matter brands.
Canyon trails just get better the more you use them, and they blow away the super marsher for sure! When crawlers came to the scene rc4wd and axial were the only games in town!
Great video, buddy. I love all the details you do. it's always great work. I love the orange and white. I actually bought my blazer before FMS sponsored me. I think it's one of the best rigs I have. And I'm not saying that because they sponsor me now. It's just an honest opinion. I wanted the brown because I didn't have any brown vehicles yet. I had one orange truck at the time, but I immediately regretted it afterwards.I wish I had gotten the orange and white. Lol The only thing I don't like is that I can't keep that controller if I upgrade the motor & ESC I think they're supposed to come out with a receiver that will link to that controller soon. Luckily, I don't feel the need to upgrade the motor or ECS in it. They do really good stock.

MR mister Gerry I kindA like stock traxxas electronic ,, The stock steering servo,s got to be the most hated rc history, but ,I am the only who likes the stock stuff,, That I know of. Because traaxxas just don't get any credibility for any of their stock stuff,, And so what ,,,

Never even heard of the allrock now I will have to do some research, but the price seemed a bit high. There will definitely be a bunch of VS testing!

I personally like the stock electronics.
In the traxxas stuff, The steering servos are got to be the most hated in the RC industry.,traxxas
