Hi all, I hope you're enjoying the uploads.
Upon arriving at Mara Rocks, Lake Malawi we quickly realised how strong the current was. The footage from the boat didn't show how clear the water was, you could see the bottom at around 12m deep. The underwater footage wasn't always stable due to me having to fight the current and trying and stay trim whilst holding the camera equipment. Having said that this dive was in my top 3 of the trip.

Incase people came here to find out where marc went, i did some digging around the net, his website was shutdown and he listed his tank for sale. I guess he left the hobbie due to personal reasons. Its a real shame as he was very popular, would love to know what happened and why he left.

The water clarity is amazing!
Beautiful. Almost like underwater ruins the rock work has so much character. Clear water,blue background..something to try in a giant aquarium.

That is so amazing, I just love videos of them in their natural habitat. I have 3D backgrounds in my tanks and are good for pics, but nothing compares to a video in the wild!

Awesome vid as always Marc. The only thing that might make it better for me is you narrating over the vid. Maybe point out what species you see and what you were thinking during the dive. Amazing video footage though. Keep it up.

I went ahead and bought some pseudotropheus saulosi fry. they look
amazing. I am looking for some tank mates with them. Do you think
another type of pseudothropheus species would be compatible with them?

Also, is the fish in the thumbnail available in the hobby? It's beautiful. (I believe it's the blue bodied one with the yellow 'neck' at 14:15.)

What camera?
Hi I used the GoPro 3+ with an Red blur fix filter on this dive
African Cichlid Hub GoPro is like the beats by dre, a lot of money goes in to marketing and not the camera itself. You could have gotten an action camera that's twice as cheap and better quality than GoPro. Look up Yi 4k camera.

Again great upload. I dont know if this is frowned upon but I have recently started my journey into fish keeping and have decided to do my journal on youtube. I have made one vid so far (next one comes out tomorrow) but need some advice/criticism. My channels name is fully cichlid. If anyone wants to check it out and leave some tips etc that would be great.
