Esse tipo de circuito não completa o ciclo do áudio causando uma distorção muito alta, além de jogar uma tensão muito alta no falante. Perceba que o alto falante salta quando é conectado uma fonte de alimentação. O que esse circuito faz é amplificar apenas um dos semi-ciclos a depender do transistor NPN ou PNP. A bobina do alto falante tende a torrar em pouquíssimo tempo.
Montei este circuito, gostei da qualidade do som. Mas observei um aquecimento na bobina do auto falante. Deixei o circuito trabalhando por mas de duas horas e não ouve qualquer problema, quanto a potência ela fica em torno de 30 Watts, usei um auto falante de 6" /8 ohm. Com um twenter leson o famoso chupetinha.

I would NOT build this as is, there is no impedance matching or isolation for the input device. Good way to blow the output stage of you favorite music player. By drawing ALL the current thru the speaker, you risk blowing the speaker, and by feedback the source. A few extra components and you can have a very viable audio power amp. 1) A transformer for the input AND output would provide some impedance matching AND assist in protecting the speaker by not having the current run thru the speaker to supply the amplifier. 2) Tmaximize
Finaly someone with brains. De loudspeaker cone will also moves in one direction, only positive pulses , distortion by high power is garanteed, powerconsumption will increase when the transistor is heating up and will also heating up the voicecoil . If something happend with the transistor, it will damage your speaker. It's not possible to replace this ,,thing'' with a good quality amplifier. You better replace the speaker with a color lamp, for a good working lightorgan 😆

The speaker he used was maybe 40 watts so it isn’t going to blow but it might blow anything over 60 watts

More like 18 watts the voltage in is 12 v, Power= v2/r r=8 which gives 18 watts. To produce 50 watts you need 20 Volt power voltage in.
