What an amazing sight for any passengers on the passenger aircraft. I will never tire of seeing these beautiful old Warbirds up in the air. Was fortunate to get up close to Lancaster Bomber Just Jane on one of her taxi runs and the sound of those Merlin Engines on full revs is something i'll never forget. Complete Goosebumps.
I've been interested in these iconic aircraft since I was a kid; much better to see them flying than stuck in museum stuffed and mounted like giant butterflies; and they are reminders of the brave crews who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Your video gave the BBMF utmost dignity, shown by all on the RT. If three Lancs could appear on the same shot it would be a life times moment. Also what I find remarkable is once these greats fall silent a skylark is singing its heart out; a wonderful tribute indeed!
I am glad you have been interested in these iconic aicraft for a long time because they need support to be kept flyable and they're magnificent. Yes and a huge tribute to the crews. Thankyou so much for the comment and appreciation of my video.
Thank you so much for sharing this! Amazing, I was fortunate in my youth to see both the Lancaster and Spitfire aerial display at the Biggin Hill Airshow in the early 70's...I was in the ATC at the time and my heart was brimming over with pride as these two heroes of the Battle of Britain flew overhead!
Thankyou so much for your incredibly kind comments. Yeah I agree, was quite a sight to see different ages of aircraft right next to eachother:) Thankyou so much for the other comment. That's my dream comment as that's what I try and do with videos of this lenth. I am so glad you didn't find it boring!:) Thankyou so much:D
Thankyou very much mate, I agree:) It was incredible, almost emotional, means a lot to get rare movements at BRS, but to have these gorgeous aircraft that served in WWII at the local, its amazing. Can't beat that weather, Shame its not like that every spotting trip:L Thanks mate.
Marvellous ! but how come I didn't get to hear of their arrival ?--I live 8 miles from Bristol airport, I didn't see any mention on TV or local paper's? I hope everyone got the fantastic news---The only other airworthy Lanc, is arriving from Canada this August ( 2014)--for a once only, one month special visit. It will be flying with OUR beaut, at various special shows---details not yet announced. I can imagine the huge reaction from all those pro cameramen---from all over the world.
Thankyou! Hmm that's weird, I thought you would've have heard of it somehow. The best thing to do is join the severnside aviation email group which gives you info on anything special coming in. Ah nice news on the other Lancaster; I will try and go to the airport for that. Thanks!
Thankyou so much, awh how come? Mine isn't too good either to be honest, my camcorder was having trouble focusing with the heat haze:( Thanks for watching and supporting the video.
I don't have any relatives who flew in the Spitfire or Hurricane. But raises the hairs when i seem them. But the Lanc. She has a special place in my heart. My grandmothers brother flew in these. 7 trips to Berlin. The dreaded Nuremberg raid. Mailly le Camp, Frankfurt, Essen, Brunswick, Munich, Stuttgart. His aircraft was shot down and he, with his mates were KIA. That bird brings a tear as i remember him and each of his crew mates and, what life they might have had. The waste of it all.
WOW! Must have been amazing! We saw people walking out to the planes and having looks around, did you have to be a relative of the crew of could anyone walk out and have a look?:) Thanks for watching!
Lovely lovely... Next April, me & my Dad are visiting the Lincs Aviation Heritage Centre Lancaster NX611 'Just Jane' to do the taxi run. Looking forward to it! It! She may not take off, but to ride in a Lancaster with all 4 engines turning & burning, plus the noise and smells that go with it, should be an amazing experience! Great video too.
WOW, WOW, WOW! THAT SOUND :O Lancaster was my favourite, such a elegant aircraft! Loved the running commentary from your dad when the Spitfire was departing! ;) Liked :D
Oh those Merlin engines! I live near Bristol Airport, so often enjoy the air displays flying over Weston. I used to sleep in the garden near Speke Airport right under the flight path. Never woke up! But indoors - slightest noise and I'd roar into life!! Dad flew Blenheims then Lancs (then flew for BEA, so I'd visit Heathrow and listen in to the ATC). Just love those engines:)))
Insperato62 I hear you on that! I used to live in Hamilton which has the second flying Lanc in the world and they would fly over the city pretty regularly. Everyone at work would run out when they hear the lanc approach, it's the pride of the city. Love the sound of the engines, can you imagine a stream of them?!
Naaagh---not for me, to quote a ford executive, checking a VW Beetle post war---''Engine sounds like a clapped out stone crusher'' M-E-R-L-I-N. everytime.
I did my YTS at Lulsgate in 1985-86 and I thought the highlight was refuelling an Army Air Corps Chinook and having a Soviet (yes, CCCP) Ilyushin 76 military transport arrive with a few aerobatic display planes on board. But this would have made my year!
Lovely vid, I think they went to Yeovilton after this ( displayed there at 16:15 approx.) Always nice to see them on the ground, doesn't happen often down this end of the country. Thanks for posting you jammy so and so. :)
stunning ! saw both the hurricane and spitfire in a flypast at harrowbeer a couple of years ago .i was a bit gutted because the lancaster was meant to be there but had to turn back after takeoff .still a stunning sight though
Cracking footage Archie! So wonderful to see these lovely birds still flying! Must have been a great sight! Lovely weather too:D thanks for sharing and yes a like from me :D Great video mate'
Really brings back memories. I was discip office clerk with 70 Sqdrn Lancasters, in Egypt 1946. Not aircrew but still lucky enough to have several flights in Lancasters, including my posting to Ein Shemer in Palestine. Happy days.
I have been watching for years video of the Lancaster and BoB Birds, and what you have here is an undeniable jewel. The Best video I have ever seen! Good job! Thanks for posting. P.S. You lucky bugger.
that lancaster is a sight and sound to hear with its four merlin piston engines humiing got to see her over huddersfield golcar village fly over and do a show off flypast
simply superb, second best ,not an option. At twelve years old I ,with my brother used to go to the manor wood and watch the lanks take off from witchford airdrome at nine pm . when we looked south we could see the red sky over London.
Outstanding work! A really professional job on a very special day. Unfortunately the days when Heathrow had special days like this are long gone,it's all about money here now. I'm glad our regional airports can still put on a show - great to see these classic planes mixing it with the 'Kestrels'!!!
Do you still have the full memorial Bristol flight 2013 video? I would be very interested in it because I was in the parking area on my first flying lesson in a Piper when these birds flew in.
Wow this is amazing, lucky you! Thanks for posting. I was lucky enough to see the B17 Flying Fortress parked at BRS after the Weston Super Mare Airshow June 2014, but this beats it by far! I'm quite an enthusiastic, but new plane spotter at BRS, and wonder if you could tell me where the Aeroplane Club at BRS/EGGD is?
Thankyou so much. You're welcome. Ah yes I went up to the airport for that beauty too. The aeroplane club is on the South East side of the airport by the new hanger and the other car park. I am not sure of the situation of the club currently though as it had to be knocked down to allow room for the hanger so there was a temporary building but I am not sure if they have rebuilt a permanent building yet.
Mraviationguy Do you know about Bristol Airport Spotting and the Bristol aviation fair on 21-09-14? If not, have a look www.bristolairportspotting.co.uk/bas-events/ and please come along!
Hi What a wonderful video of this country's greats of military aviation popping for fuel. (Bristol's runway must satisfy the RAF); and superb RT between military and civil pilots and air control, imagine being on one of those holiday jets with the Lanc on finals with a 4 Merlin orchestra. I know BBMF and East Kirkby's Just Jane; wouldn't it be sensational if the RAF's and Canadian Heritage Lancs flew over Jane taxying; something not seen since these mighty aircraft were in RAF service?
Got to see a Lancaster fly a couple of years ago. Did the pilots stall the engines to conserve fuel or something while coming in, or is that just a trick of the camera?
whenever i see a Lancaster bomber with four Merlin engines making that noise i always try to imagine what the famous thousand bomber raid on Germany must have sounded like. can you imagine 4,000 Merlin engines overhead?
Wow that is great . What surprise ey Love the way at the end they all line up in a formation. Thats great. Well mate great shots and of course a huge liKe from me. :)
yes, thanks, I am now past eighty and I can still see them, what I did omit to say we climbed to the top of redwood trees to see them and the redwood is one of our tallest trees, but we almost lived in trees,
Lufthansa flight 1192 You are cleared to land.....And i say Ole boy Do be mindful of the speed bumps ahead They been know to damage quite a few fokkers..

No words can do this justice. love it.
Thankyou 😁
Thanks for the wonderful video. No mistaking the sound of those V12 Merlins.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video and sound! 😆👍

Thanks for uploading. Joy to watch and hear the wonderful sound.
You're welcome, thank you for watching 😀
I had the chance to see them all 3 flying very low over the beach. Oh the sweet sound of the Spitfire ...
Sends a shiver down my spine to hear those beautiful aircraft. Very emotional.
Thankyou so much for watching! Greetings from UK:)
As an Argentinian, you can imagine some mixed emotions here. As an aviation fan, superb machines and a high quality material. Congratulations.
@William Gruff --apart from that---we love you, have a nice year.

Imagine sitting in your non-descript jet and these 3 beauties come along.
Right! That certainly would be a nice surprise! 😀 Thanks for watching.

Do you still have the full memorial Bristol flight 2013 video? I would be very interested in it because I was in the parking area on my first flying lesson in a Piper when these birds flew in.

Bloody brilliant video!!

Thanks mate! Yeah especially to have it at the local:)
Got to see a Lancaster fly a couple of years ago. Did the pilots stall the engines to conserve fuel or something while coming in, or is that just a trick of the camera?
I think it was just the way it looked on camera:) Thanks for watching.
It's impossible to turn off the engine, the plane went down. All the time you hear the engine work ...
Look up the word flutter rates , synch, video, illusion , that should clear it up.
whenever i see a Lancaster bomber with four Merlin engines making that noise i always try to imagine what the famous thousand bomber raid on Germany must have sounded like. can you imagine 4,000 Merlin engines overhead?
woow, very awesome video!! really nice work! awesome over head landings and good quality! well done mate, of course a big like from me! :)
