Believe me, Sony is REALLY paying attention to how all this AI upscaling crap plays out in pc gaming. I have absolutely no doubt the ps6 will feature heavily AI upscalers to reach 4K60fps minimum on all games as standard, especially because most console gamers play far enough from the TV to notice any issues. If Nvidia/AMD manages to have a hold on the input lag, oh boy... It will be DLSS/FSR galore for everyone.

it would be cool if next gen consoles have 128 cpu cores at a minimum and if that becomes too expensive with x86 then maybe arm or risc-v cores could be an alternative
consoles need a max setting mode that renders textures at ultra while downgrading pixels and fps surely they can handle 1080p 30fps at ultra details, instead of 4k 30fps with mid-high textures
as long as the industry keeps pushing AI to upscale, generate frames and using TAA I won't buy a new hardware it's like they hammer everything into a game that increases blur, smearing and ghosting effects instead of properly optimizing the game. what a shame... guy on the bottom right isn't making sense to me. v-cache is stacked on top of the cpu, it doesn't take up extra die space. that's the whole point of the x3d's "vertically stacked" v-cache. AMD is already working on making X3D APU's for the next gen. as the ryzen 7000 and 9000 chips have proven, people just aren't buying chips without the v-cache becuase the performance gains are just that significant. if AMD is making APU's with v-cache then sony would be stupid not to use that for the PS6

While the 4070ti is roughly 60% more potent than the ps5's 6700 16gb non-xt, that 6700 is 600% the power of the ps4's gpu (approx = Radeon HD 7850). The ps6 will be far beyond the 4070ti.

I'm running a 3 monitor setup coming from the 4070, a 60, 70 and 165HZ Ultrawide monitor the main question if you looking for a new system, what Res , 1080,1440, 4K I suspect this system will last until at least the 6000x series, so 3/4 years, again got wiggle room on game settings It's hard to give exact FPS as some games are just far better optimised, and i'll be getting 90 no FG, where some on Ultra will be 60 no FG if the badly optimised As there is hardly any difference between Ultra and High and probably not noticeable at 1440P, i'm taking say a 15%, 20% hit on FPS because i just wanna see when that time comes i need to switch down from ultra, hope that helps

textures aren't really expensive as long as you have enough ram.
4k medium will always look better than 1080p ultra you dolt.
