If that's not what your saying then, say so instead of calling me a blockhead and condescending. This movie and others including SPR are historical fiction which means it's in a historical setting but not true at all story. And as i said its not copying SPR besides the boats with ramps. But as i said its a historical fiction. But if you believe that you might aswell say SPR is copying The Longest Day. But its a movie It's for our entertainment. Just stick to documentaries if it upsets you. Don't really have to watch it if you don't like. Everyone has their own opinion on things and we shouldn't force others to see our point of view. Ridley Scott is a hack. Twisting historical settings to make it look “cooler” is an insult to the people who actually lived at the time. Not to mention the millions of people he has essentially lied to. saying that it’s “historical fiction” isn’t an excuse because his movies are barely historical. Also who are films like this made for, they aren’t for history fans because they aren’t historical, they have no educational value, the only people that I can see watching these films are the average plebs who know nothing about history but want to see a crazy set piece or big explosion, but at that point why not just go and watch the latest MARVEL slop instead.
