I dont even need to open my windos cuz Michaela Cole is a breath of fresh air. When that girl speaks, people listen. She articulates her thoughts so well and there’s never any BS fluff. Plz join my fan club. 😂❤️ srsly tho love her!
I feel like the only reason it didn’t is because african Americans don’t relate to black UK culture as much as white Americans might relate to white British people
@@chioma5633 I think part of it is also, the way the show was marketed. Fleabag had a lot of promotion, when it was announced it would be arriving on Prime US (and I think it arrived right after it aired in the UK). With Chewing Gum, I believe it moved to Netflix US, much later.
Michaela Coel is a dark skin black woman like @arthurfleck said...no mass appeal, white ppl cant relate ..hell like @ChiomaE said even African Americans can't even relate
Her sensitive reflective nature is the reason we need artists like Michaela Coel. She's absolutely pushing the boundaries of art, while also making it "accessible" to the masses - a nuanced and challenging balance to achieve.
I'm suprised this doesn't have more views because she's is dropping golden gems here thanks for the tips Micheala Coel always passing the ladder down for us to learn and develops our ideas and goals 🙌🏾🙌🏾♥️♥️
I love her! So real, down-to-earth and honest. No BS, no pretence, no fluff, no making things sound complex and out of reach ... I mean ...real advice, no some intellectually aloof conundrum.Google and put pen to paper.
Feel like Bazaar UK should put 'Ewuraba' in the introduction title because she said it, that's probably how she wanted to be introduced. And it's such a pretty name
She is just outstanding; the first time I noticed her, I came to the realization that someone is a good egg. Keep up the good work, which you think is commonplace.
When all else fails, "As a youngster my favorites (BOOKS & MOVIES) were adventures, I loved reading about faraway places & strange people, and wishing I'd hurry and grow up so to see them in person and guess what, I done it. 😉 One thing I like was books that always had us (Black-people) begging, wining, and pleading with White folks to like us; and those where we were always in the position of being the jokers or entertainers ie; singing & dancing. Chewing Gum should have blown up in the US, the same way Fleabag did

I think it’s because Coel is a dark skin black woman. They don’t really get the promotion they deserve here in the states. 😤
@@arthurfleck816 well they should!

i love this girl much intensely.

Harper's Bazaar fukd up with the lighting! Michaela's skin is luscious in her interview with British GQ!
She drops such gems in this, what every artist should strive to be!! Serve the story
She is just outstanding; the first time I noticed her, I came to the realization that someone is a good egg. Keep up the good work, which you think is commonplace.
Brilliant as always. This is the most somber interview I've ever seen with Michaela. (And I've watched them all!)

Incredible show but this lighting isn't flattering, they need to improve on it
They needed a key light or a closer one

Her brilliance is distracting me from staring at her, fantasizing about kissing her
What's up with the terrible Photoshop poster effect??
I think the story was powerful but it was to londernized and not as honest as it is.
