Disney doesn't give you anything for free, but generally any decent hotel in the US will have a coffee pot and a few packets of tea bags in the room for you

Free tea and kettles are also included in upside-down land! Even the crummy, dodgy as fuck, check you still have both kidneys in the morning motels do it.

it's dictated by law that our hotels, motels and brothels must have a selection of cheap teas and a kettle (that smells of algae and goldfish)

Breadsaws are kind of cool though? We have a decent amount of proper bakeries here where you can buy a good loaf and they're nice if you're baking your own. Shop sliced bread also tends to dry out a bit faster. They also prevent you from squishing softer bread too much while cutting and speed up the process of cutting things like baguettes. They're also useful as a general kitchen tool, like for slicing (dry) meat, I remember my grandma using one to prepare slices of cows tongue (consistency like dried ham).
The ones I used seemed about on par with any other potentially dangerous kitchen utensil, with some design choices that necessitate two-handed usage (right hand has to hold down a switch for the blade to turn, left hand guides a plastic pusher-thing towards the blade).
I'd be more okay with a younger child handling one than I would be with them handling a proper bread knife, honestly. And in the shops they're probably up high enough that a passing 5y.o. can't reach them.
Given that I've mostly seen them in the homes of 40 and above people, might just be a cultural thing or it's the echoes of some really successful marketing campaign from a generation or two back.

There's a kettle in basically every Swedish hotel as far as I know. I've seen one where they didnt have it but they had a smörgåsbord of tea, coffe and biscuits in the common room.

Talking about Media Literacy and the MCU, a video I think Elise would enjoy very much is Skip Intro's Team America World Police: MCU. It looks at the MCU not as Superheros but as a police force and the many problems that come with it. It touches on the same thing Elise was saying about Daredevil and how the Superheroes in the MCU usually are forces to keep the Status Quo and not actually fixing the underlying problems. Reactive instead of Proactive.

My day was Blessed with a Tea Review .I wasn't expecting to hear about Burzum here today. The most you can get at the hotels here in Brazil is the breakfast, they will charge for anything else. Covid was shit and I think we will still have deal with it for some time. 2019 I had a great time at uni and hanging out with my friends but at 2020 I lost contact with most of them but it was also around that time I found this channel, I've been having a loot of fun with your content until today.

Hungarian here, my first bf's family was incredibly wealthy and they had every kitchen appliance out there, among them a slicer for their like bread and ham and salami.
On the tea kettle situation, working in tourism, most places in Hungary do have kettles and tea, most times even airbnbs are outfitted with them.
Then again why would anyone wanna come to Hungary lmao

I agree with Sam on covid. For me it also was a couple of years of people marveling on how their lives have changed, and how they have to adjust to the new way of life and adapt to the pandemic conditions, while literally nothing changed in my life. I was just happy that me staying 5 meters away from that homeless drunk in the shop was seen as health conscious. Even though it was just the overpowering smell of urine, sweat and metabolized alcohol.

Surprisingly, Disney isn’t the best glass to view the average American experience through.
Any reasonable hotel in the US likely serves free breakfast in the mornings and you can choose between 1 of like 5 choices from their giant coffee dispenser. The majority also have small single-cup coffee makers and a few free packets with sugar and cream to make your own coffee. It’s hotel min-maxing to swipe these and put them in a drawer in your kitchen until you throw them away 10 years later.

Also I feel Haruhi fell off by most its own fault and time. The weird syndication it had creates a barrier for entry and Endless Summer is so infamously terrible an arc that I think it just constantly comes up what puts new fans off of it. But while it was novel for the time, the whole schoolgirls with magical/science power gimmick it had is just done to death and in more accessible and recent series. I think the Yuki Nagato alt universe spinoff didn't help things either because I know few Haruhi fans that watched that more than a few episodes and no fresh people that watched it and went on to watch Haruhi, because they watched Nagato and wanted more sugar blob moe romance and not, Haruhi being a really annoying character for like 10 hours.

The modern world has become ridiculously extreme. It's insane these days! There is free tea in Azerbaijan ( Also incredible food, similar to Turkish cuisine since you guys like it) and The Czech Republic (where I live). Both well worth visiting. Beautiful countryside. Also Czech has the bread saws, some times not everywhere but you can find them pretty easily. And finally, the audio seems fine.

BTW are you your german friend knew what you meant when you said kettle? As a german with english as a second language when I hear kettle I imagine the kind you'd heat on a stovetop, not the electric flip a switch and it boils water kind (in german "Wasserkocher"="water boiler/cooker")

13:59, I know Clarkson did a bit on leaving waste in a kettle, although it may have been "take a shit in the kettle".
Although he also left a "kipper in the trouser press", and I haven't seen one of those in a hotel room for at least a decade, so it may be a tad out of date.

It is kinda amazing how much thought you guys have to put so that you do not listen to musicians that are being far right, anti-semi or other lunatics. There is all sort of nuts in this world, I just do not care much. If somebody tried to say "this guy you listened to said something bad in the past and has crazy beliefs", I would just reply "so what bro?". You do not believe into his shit and this should be enough.
