- A few weeks ago, a Halloween Horror Night scare actor was viciously assaulted and blindsided by a male guest at Universal Studios Hollywood over allegations that the actor accidentally touched his girlfriend. We later found out the scare actor had his hand broken and may need surgery and that the girlfriend was never touched but just scared. The male suspect was also arrested and may be banned forever from all Universal parks.

I was the guy in the LA hat, my friend was the one that recorded it but omg it was crazy in person, it happened so quick still in complete shock from it. People like that should not be allowed at haunted events , that poor scare actor I heard his arm broke due to that incident

as a scare actor, this is so infuriating. People get mad at us for doing our JOB at a halloween event that THEY CAME TO. I was a minor when i started scare acting and the amount of times i’ve been assaulted in various different ways is just so saddening and also watching my friends be harassed for doing their job. People need to pull their heads out of their asses

Mentally ill people are statistically much more likely to be victims of violent crime, by a large margin, than perpetrators of violent crime.
Maybe, I wouldn’t be shocked if he was pressured into going by his group and lost his nerve.
Take it from me, not everyone who goes to those events actually wants to, there are a lot of ways people can be forced to by those around them.
Some cases the group someone’s traveling with will only enter the park during the event and that’s the only way said someone will be able to get on the rides there. Especially if said someone can’t afford to go to the parks themselves on a normal day. Plus things like less people there equaling shorter lines adds to temptation. So some people are basically met with either having to go along with the scary stuff or not going to the park at all. And events like this one basically force you to be met with scare actors everywhere you go except in the rides themselves.
And if your a kid who’s parents are forcing you to go to the event, it’s even worse since you get even less of a say in the matter.
So I’m guessing he’s less crazy, and more that he couldn’t control his flight or fight response.
Doesn’t entirely justify body checking the guy just doing his job though. He should have known his limits and not try to go all “asserting dominance” mode.

The actor broke his hand and had to have surgery. The man who attacked him, didn’t like his girlfriend getting scared. He initially said that the actor touched her, but that turned out to not be true.
If you’re his girlfriend, I would run away. He is clearly unhinged, and I’m gonna guess violent toward everyone including her. He’s the kind of guy that thinks running up on someone that’s not paying any attention to him and knocking them over makes him look like a man when it really makes him look like a pu$$y.
Why do people go to Halloween horror nights that have problems with being scared. It’s literally the whole point. The people running around with a flashing load. No scare pendants. Do not belong there. I can’t imagine. Getting stuck with one of those people going through one of the haunted attractions . It would literally ruin the entire thing. If you don’t wanna be scared, you’re at the wrong event.
Like exactly. I’ve never came across an incident like this just got back from HHN here in Orlando, and it’s crazy that people do something like this. I went with me and my little brother and when a scare actor accidentally touched his arm I knew it clearly wasn’t intentional, so obviously I’m not gonna jump at someone like I’m a fucking psychopath, because I’m not. Same thing happened last year when a scare actor hit me in the arm, and yes even though it hurt a bit I’m not going to pin the blame on them because there are a shit load of people going to these events, so clearly they don’t mean to do this.

This child (that’s no man) will not only be banned from this event and all future events, the party he was with will also be affected (in most cases). So he is barred for LIFE from all universal parks and affiliated events. This is such a stupid, ignorant move to make.

If he wasn't brought up on criminal charges, universal is 100% complicit, and any waivers the actor signed were made null and void by their negligence, which means universal would become liable. If the assaulter wasn't charged, I hoped the actor sued the absolute sht out of universal for his injuries, at the least, his neck aint ever gonna be completely right after that.

This would be Battery because he actually touched him (At least in NC) Idk about Floridian law however in north carolina assault is when you attempt to or threaten to hurt someone battery is when you do it, however to be charged with assault even after attacking someone you had to threaten to do it before ex. "IM GONNA HIT YOU" and then proceed to do it, more then likely that would be charged as assault, however this dude didn't announce anything he just did it thus it is Battery regardless of any excuse he makes

In Europe there are a lot of scare events that actors can touch the guests (but guests can never touch the actors). I personaly like that the actors can touch the guests, it gives more shivers to the halloweenexperience 😈

I honestly don't understand why some people think that they have to "act tough" around they're significant others (girlfriend, boyfriend, whatever), just to try to impress them. Since it’s HHN universal I can tell you that I’m positive the scare actor didn’t touch his gf because scare actors at universal can’t do that. If the costume brushes up against you then it’s whatever it’s the costume they’re like big sometimes lol. I remember last year a Stilt Walker from the front of the park was being harassed by a group of guys even messing with his stilts to make him fall or something. The stilt walker cussed out the guy that kept bothering him and almost stomped on his foot with the stilts. The guy had the audacity to complain about it luckily I think he didn’t lose his job.

I was reading an article on HHN in Orlando with the situation right now that talks about a bunch of stupid fucking kids who are misbehaving towards the scare actors. Keep in mind, this is 6 days in the event and there are already tweets to back it up to.

*As a former dark entertainer (haunter), it's patrons (customers) like him that really ruin the haunt experience for everyone including actors.... Actors can't do much because the customer can possibly file a lawsuit if there's a physical altercation then the haunt attraction gets dragged into it all... It becomes a mess... Why wasn't this guy escorted out sooner? or why didn't anyone notice the strange behavior sooner? The guy is clearly drunk and didn't seem too thrilled to be there which is a red flag. I've worked with great security that prevented these types of scenarios from happening....*
*As a former actor I can say us actors are more scared, and nervous than the customers taking the haunt tour because we don't really know what's coming through our haunt... We just know we have to scare and make the haunt run smoothly.... Lots of "tough guys" out there that pay to get scared then get angry when you make them fold and scream in front of their friends... Times change and thats why I no longer act... I stay back stage watch cameras and make sure actors are all doing well and staying safe! Hope the guy gets tracked down and charged!*

That happened to my nephew! He was working at a spot in St.Louis county, I neck tackled dude and put him to sleep! We were checking on him, it was his first job. I put dude out then waited on cops! I'm 6ft 6 and 280 at that time! People are scum sometimes!

As a haunter myself, this is the most brutal assault I've ever seen inflicted upon a haunter, most just get a jab or a push, yet its still not acceptable. People attending haunted attractions know well what they are signing up for paying to get into getting bombarded with scare acts

I went to Hollywood’s HHN last year, and in the Stranger Things 4 house, I did a far air Karate Kid-style kick toward Dr. Brenner’s direction. None of those cast members did anything to me. As for the second to the final room in the house, it just so happened that the actors playing Vecna, Chrissy and El were simply not there. Before I headed into Stranger Things 4 & The Last of Us houses, I kept this video in mind, because I don’t want to touch any of the performers I come in contact with. That guy in the video made me outraged, because I heard stories on social media where scaractors have quit their jobs because of guests like that fool. I wish I can audition for HHN to be a scaractor, but this fool is the number one reason why I won’t audition for that role.
My gf got scared too last year HHN I didn’t get angry. This is what this event is for that’s main point. People with anger issues shouldn’t go to this events and stay home.

The problem with setups like this is that people use “fight or flight” as an excuse, knowing full well that they choose “fight.” 100% any institution that does this attempts to catch the assailant(s), and charges them fully for assault. What’s sad is that some of these scare actors are teenagers/minors just trying to make a couple of bucks.
I know Sam haunts, have very strict policies on assaulting the scary actors that would’ve been an assault charge and should’ve gotten arrested people know what they are getting themselves into when they go to events like this

Yo these actors are REALLY PEOPLE. I went for the 1st time when I was too young to deal and got lost and was crying in a corner. Dude came up looking like a straight GOBLIN so obviously I screamed and cried harder.he was so concerned about me he forgot he was dressed up I guess. He took his mask and head gear off and said “just remember it’s only people under it all” and helped me to the service stand to find my people. He stayed with me the whole time. It took me a solid 5years b4 going back now I LOVE IT!
P.s it wasn’t family’s fault (accidents happen) i begged to go, got spooked, took off running and by the time i looked up everyone was gone. I was shorter then but still short now (5ft) so ik they couldn’t see me with all those ppl.
Moral of the story the actor didn’t deserve that and should press charges!
