Holy crap whoever did this is awesome! War Doctor spelling out No More, 7 playing the spoon, 10 making a machine that's goes ding, 11 straightening the Bow Tie and then pulling out a Fez and Stetson, and 12 seeing something that says Listen! Only small critique is that 6 didn't use a Sonic Screwdriver but other then that this is awesome!
+William Cooper Stephen Sharples who worked on the Doctor Who content said they only did that because all Doctor Characters had to have the same ability set. They said they would do that correctly if they get to make a stand alone game where they can flesh out each Doctor more. They didn't have to include the screwdriver in the idle animation, however.
+William Cooper He could've been using the sonic probe thing from Attack of the Cybermen. That's basically his Sonic with some of the old Character 5" figures.
It seems strange that they'd give the Sixth Doctor an animation involving the Sonic Screwdriver, since he was one of the few Doctors never to use one. But it's nice to see Eight celebrating his shoes again.
John Smith I just checked, he apparently used one in The Ultimate Adventure and The Nightmare Fair. Which were adaptations, not straight audios. My bad.
The fact they gave so much love and care to ALL the d Doctors makes me want to play this game even more. So glad the classic Doctors aren't just generic models with some sound clips thrown on them. No, they captured each Doctor perfectly. This is one of the rare few times where I feel an equal amount of love was given to Both classic and New Who. Meaning in this game there just about isn't any Classic or New devide. This is pure Doctor Who and I fucking love it. Can't wait to get this game for Christmas. It'll be worth every cent just for the detail in all 13 Doctors!
+Ionsphere Productions (Elijah Hoag) Yeah, this particular level pack has the most value for sure. I'd really love to see a full LEGO Doctor Who game now.
i think the should do what they did with skylanders, bring out differant re-skins of charctars to use, e.g he ninjas in their differant outfits, chell from portal 1 either that or add an update where when you put a charater on it gives you a selection, and with the doctor, when you choose your doctor there are differant versions changing like in lego marvel e.g The 11th Doctor (Purple Coat) The 10th Doctor (Blue Suit) i think it would add alot more veriety into the game.
the references I could get. - 2nd Doctor pulls out a book that is his 200 year old diary. -3rd Doctor pose may reference the fact that the was a more action oriented doctors and that he bragged about knowing "Venusian Karate". -5th Doctor puts on his "brainy specs"(According to the tenth doctor he doesn't really need them he just thinks they make him look clever) -5th doctor second idle references his love of the sport cricket. -6th doctor pulls out his Sonic Screwdriver and in second animation pulls out his umbrella. -8th Doctor starts knitting the 4th Doctor scarf but decides not to. -The War Doctor blasts the words "No More" onto the floor, which he did in 'The Day of the Doctor" as a threat to end the Time war. -9th Doctor, I'm not sure what he is scanning. -10th Doctor builds a device he is seen using in "The day of the Doctor" He also pulls out his own version of the "brainy specs" -10th Doctor put son 3D glasses which he would sometime wear. He also starts running in place. Which is a recurring theme in the show, mostly either the Doctor telling someone to run from something, or how he has been running(from responsibility) all his life. -11th Doctor's dance I don't get. -11 Doctor's second idle references his love for hats, largely Fezzes and stetsons, largely quoted as saying I wear a (hat singular) now, (hat plural) are cool. He also imitates the Wicked Witch form Wizard dog Oz, who is a playable character in the game. -12th Doctor pulls out a chalkboard with the word Listen suddenly appearing on it. This is a reference to the episode titled "Listen" where the Doctor was paranoid that a mysterious entity was responsible for subconscious actions. In the first scene he is speaking aloud about how we talk outlaid when alone because we know someone is listening an the word appears on a chalkboard. the episode interestingly does not seem to confirm nor deny the entity exists and that it could be the Doctor's imagination as in the scene and the cuts he may have forgotten he wrote it, since this is impossible in this animation it implies the entity is real.
the 11th does the drunk girrafe and that made me think of when at my uncles wedding i went in a bowtie and braces and when we were are dancing i pulled a drunk giraffe in the middle of the dance floor and everyone laughed but didnt get the refrence ;-;
If 13 was in this game, her idle animations would be scanning things with the sonic (complete with the ‘wand movement’ she always does) and building something with a blowtorch
OMG!! 4 using his yo yo made me smile harder than I could imagine! And the hat trick was great too since you always see his hat pop off in an episode yet he still somehow manages to find it again. Though the absence of jelly babies is kind of disappointing. 9 pulling out his physic paper was awesome since he was the first doctor to use it! But his second animation was kinda... idk dry? I feel like 9 had a lot more traits and references to offer. 10's was no doubt the best to me!! He started putting together a machine with his glasses on lightning fast and even put the sonic screw driver in his mouth just like he did in the show!! Brilliant! And his second animation with the 3D glasses and sonic screw driver was beautiful! I loved it! The way he spun it in the air was classic. 11 was so funny omg, it was like I was really watching an episode from 11's seasons. His dance was just so ridiculous and his hat change was awesome! The witch I don't remember from the show though but it was still a nice touch. 12 was great as well! The black board with the "listen" on it gave me chills like it did in the show! They really do all feel like them! I love it! ❤
It’s makes me so happy to see the heart and souls poured into the game, so much effort went into it and it is a really fun game, the only downside is they didn’t manage to fit some more things like something classic Lego that marked the beginning of their game making days with some Star Wars thrown in and more other iconic genres such as Marvel or Harry Potter, woulda truly made this game a complete masterpiece
Yeah, 6 using a Sonic isn't really an error if you consider that in other, non-TV stories, 6 used a Sonic device at one time or another. At any rate, huge props to Stephen Sharples for all the details given to Doctor Who in the game. Hope that there are more secrets to discover.
I just had a brilliant idea for the next Lego Dimensions game. They should have it so, every time the doctor regenerates, it should randomize the outfit of the persona. Cause y'know, each persona had a signature look, but also changed. The 3rd Doctor wore a lot of DIFFERENT velvet waistcoats and sometimes wore a cloak instead of the cape, or he just went without the cape comepletely, the 4th Doctor had a different colored scarf, and an outfit to go with it, the 6th Doctor also had a blue outfit, The 7th and 8th Doctors wore different outfits at the end of their lives, 10 had the blue pinstripe, 11 had the purple tweed jacket. Need I go on?
Never fully understood why they never did more with this line. They put so much effort into this one theme in the game but only ever actually made one legitimate set. Not even a minifigures series.
There's something I noticed while watching this. Has anyone noticed that the Eleventh Doctor's clothing is like the Second Doctor's clothing? I mean think about it, they both have wear a jacket, a button-down shirt, trousers with braces and a bow tie, I even noticed that in the show, the Eleventh Doctor's shirt and bow tie are sometimes blue, just like the Second Doctor. It would make sense if the Eleventh Doctor's clothing was based on the Second Doctor's clothing because I've heard that Matt Smith loved Patrick Troughton's portrayal as the Second Doctor. Edit: It turns out Matt really did incorporate many elements from Patrick's Doctor into his Doctor.
It's just the way their faces are shaped. Also, it can actually be the other way around where the Tenth can act very silly and witty and the Eleventh can be more serious and frustrated.
Yeah, and the Tenth Doctor looks more like Marty McFly than David Tennant. Yeah, when I first started watching playthroughs of this game, I got a bit confused about seeing the Tenth Doctor as a Lego minifig, I actually mistook him for Marty. I know better now.
+Marvel and DC Universe You're welcome! Let's hope LEGO Marvel's Avengers manages to be even better. I am concerned that Spider-Man may not be in the game, but there's always hope for DLC.
I know this comment is old but has anyone figured out what song this is from the lego dimensions ost? I can't find it still.. edit: just need the title of the song.. edit: found it. The title is the final dimension.
But the problem with that is where is he going to put all that regeneration energy? In that episode, he transfered it to the hand that he loses durring a battle and in that fight, he managed to grow another one. So, I don't think that would work.
Fun Fact 1: The 6th doctor never used a sonic screwdriver, and instead had a sonic lance. Fun Fact 2: The original sonic screwdrivers never lit up. So 1:34 MAKES NO F***ING SENSE
It did went ding in that animation, but exploded. It would've been cool to use the Timey-Wimey detector for the tracking ability segments in this game.
The Eleventh Doctor just looks so dignified doing those ridiculous dance moves, it's hard not to try them out. "Drunken giraffe," anyone?
OH MY GOD! 7 plays the spoon. McCoy will be happy to know this is in the game.
I loved Paul mcgann even had the 'these shoes fit perfectly' scene in it
Holy crap whoever did this is awesome! War Doctor spelling out No More, 7 playing the spoon, 10 making a machine that's goes ding, 11 straightening the Bow Tie and then pulling out a Fez and Stetson, and 12 seeing something that says Listen! They said they would do that correctly if they get to make a stand alone game where they can flesh out each Doctor more. They didn't have to include the screwdriver in the idle animation, however.
+William Cooper Not in the other mediums - TARDIS wiki says he did at several moments so it's kind of satisfying to see 6 using one.
+William Cooper i think the sixth doctor should have had a carrot instead.
+William Cooper He could've been using the sonic probe thing from Attack of the Cybermen. That's basically his Sonic with some of the old Character 5" figures.
That's a sonic lance, so yes.
No Jellybabies for 4th, a crime indeed.
For sure.
Yep I’m going to sue LEGO for this crime
Hey, at least the 12th Doctor references the jellybabies.
one of his idle lines involves jellybabies I think.
One of his attacks uses them I believe
It seems strange that they'd give the Sixth Doctor an animation involving the Sonic Screwdriver, since he was one of the few Doctors never to use one. But it's nice to see Eight celebrating his shoes again.
Yes I like that
+Simon Strickland I think they should've used that hand gesture he did in The Two Doctors when he went into a trance. It would've been hilarious.
+Simon Strickland Or maybe it's a VERY deep cut. Six had a sonic screwdriver in the audios.
+Cleretic Which ones? I can't recall him using it in the audios.
John Smith
I just checked, he apparently used one in The Ultimate Adventure and The Nightmare Fair. Which were adaptations, not straight audios. My bad.
Missed opportunity for nine to pull out a banana
I don't watch the episodes with the Ninth Doctor, but when did he use a banana?
Spyder Soup he didn't. He once said "I like bananas. Bananas are good."
And 12 a hamburger?
@Staplaytan He did have one in I believe the second episode of the World War II two-parter special. Been a while since I’ve seen it
Thomas Burr
“Don’t drop the banana!”
“Why?”
“It’s a good source of potassium!”
2:38 These shoes! They fit perfectly!
Someone needs to get the actors to play this game. Can you imagine? Tom Baker holding a controller...?
+DarthRushy Lol that would be hilarious.
+DarthRushy "Wish I had a real Tardis. So I can go back and tell myself to turn down "Dungeons and Dragons""
Well, some of the currant actors at the time did look at the game.
The fact they gave so much love and care to ALL the d

They have to give the 12th doctor a guitar!
This was made before Series 9 premiered, so there's not gonna be any of that, yet.
+Jimmy T. Vu But the chalkboard was very recent
i think the should do what they did with skylanders, bring out differant re-skins of charctars to use, e.g he ninjas in their differant outfits, chell from portal 1 either that or add an update where when you put a charater on it gives you a selection, and with the doctor, when you choose your doctor there are differant versions changing like in lego marvel e.g The 11th Doctor (Purple Coat) The 10th Doctor (Blue Suit) i think it would add alot more veriety into the game.
+Oliver Pearson They should just make a Lego Doctor Who game.
I think everyone wishes they made a lego set of Doctor Who with all of the doctors

The Seventh Doctor plays the spoons!? Yes!!!
I'm just gonna say that 5 is totally adorable.
Someone needs to show Sylvester that his spoon playing skills made it to the game :P
+Jeremy Xu haha. It would be great to see their reactions to the characters in game.
If 13 was in this game, her idle animations would be scanning things with the sonic (complete with the ‘wand movement’ she always does) and building something with a blowtorch
The 8th Doctor doing his dance is hilarious and adorable.

honestly I agree! I would've loved 9 to do his little dance that he does in End of the World.
This single character has more effort put into it than the entirety of LEGO Incredibles
2:40 "4 minutes? That's ages! What if I get bored or need a television, couple of books? Anyone for chess? Bring me knitting."
Eleventh doctors drunken giraffe dance was like me when my friends said for me to dance.
anyone else who think that the ninth doctor should have had his famous dance (it's a meme)
do legos have ears? cuz i think he needs his trademark elephant ears he looks so wired without em
They can hear fine. But also, what dance?

he came close in "Attack of the Cybermen" with his Sonic Lance.
I wish Patrick Troughton played his recorder during one of his idle animations
David and Matt's made my day!
3:57 I love Matt Smith's little jig right there

+turtleboy991 That's not a bad idea!

Oh yeah, and 12's current red velvet jacket.
Don't forget his outfit before that; With the hoodie, the rock t-shirt, and the pants.
TWO BEING ADORABLE AND EIGHTS LITTLE SHOE DANCE!
2:27 A meteor storm, and the sky above us was dancing with lights! Purple, green, brilliant yellow! Yes! These shoes! They fit perfectly!
Love that they included 11's really terrible dancing as part of his animation hahaha :).
The 11th Doctor's first idle animation is just amazing.
Which episode did he do that dance?
Never mind, I saw them.
@@spydersoup8447 Lol 2 years later, that's dedication. Who's your favourite Doctor?

I love the Matt Smith one :D

I agree! I still love the game and wish it didn’t go away.

I can't stop laughing at the 11th Doctor's 2nd idle animation. And his appearance. He looks like Lloyd and Garmadon.
I'd say he looks more like young sensei Garmadon

Why does Eleven look more serious than Ten? I believe it's the other way around in the show.
It's just the way their faces are shaped. Also, it can actually be the other way around where the Tenth can act very silly and witty and the Eleventh can be more serious and frustrated.
They should've given the 5th Doctor his hat. Doesn't really seem complete without it.
Still, it WAS part of the outfit during his time.
i think its still on the hat hat rack of the tardus thats sumthin at least
It is.
Maybe he left it in the Tenth Doctor's TARDIS interior. I'm kidding, he obviously picked it up.
