Update: some of you guys commented saying you didn’t know how to apply the sauce or what to wrap after it’s on. I made a 60 second short on 8/16/22 explaining it. Hopefully it’s still up when you see this.

Thank you for the video and the knowledge/advice you share. Have you ever tried using an airbrush? It’s night and day over using brush paints. I started air brushing car models years ago and I use that knowledge on restoring shoes, if you have the means to get an airbrush even a super cheap one I would definitely recommend it.
I have some Jordan 5 fire reds and the netting is stuck yellow I tired icing them out with a reshoevanator solution and it made them more yellow ? Any tips or advice??
I used salon care 40 for mine and I did a 12 hr session and they came out yellow I don’t know why but it did, did you put clig wrap on the shoe or no ?
@@JoseTorres-ro3nj damn I thought I was the only one. When I ice soles it works perfectly but I tried it on the netting for the first time and it came out more yellow than before. I thinking the padding in the tongue soaks up the salon care and makes it dry out but I’m not 100% sure.
@@JoseTorres-ro3nj when ya take them out the box or from outdoor wash the solution off with water and soap or watever ya feel like taking it off then after it dries make sure ya clean the icy areas with acetone let it dry then repeat the process
Hey man just a quick question. I asked a local sneaker cleaner what it’d cost to ice my stealth 5’s, he said it’d be $100 because it has to be done right so you don’t ruin the material under the netting. Is he lying to me to get more money?
Don’t charge by the day, it’s too much to keep up with. Charge one flat rate no matter what. If you’re just starting, go with $35 til you know what you’re doing. Add more to it when you feel you’ve reached a better level of work.

Yes I use an airbrush and a paint brush. Just depends on the job and if I feel like cleaning the airbrush or not.

12 hours isn’t long enough. If you’re doing it indoors it takes days, not hours.
yea when i did it for mine it made the netting a bright orange/yellow

Sorry I’m so late. Nah that’s not too much. I charge $75-$90 myself.

Yes you should use Saran Wrap. It keeps the sauce from drying out quick.

quick question from the other videos is it okay to tape the uppers off so Salome care 40 won’t get on them ?
That’s a lot more work, but sure. I know some people who do.
I wouldnt recommend. sometimes the adhesive from the tape can damage the leather if left on too long

There’s a different method for Jordan 4s. I made a video about that too. It’s just better to airbrush the netting on the 4s in my opinion.

You only need to wrap the areas with the sole sauce on them.
