Omar my friend, you've found the holy grail. A beautiful lady who smiles all the time, has a fantastic sense of adventure, is a great cook, and doesn't object to pissing in a bottle.
Hey that took time to start trying to find the installation of the diesel heater can't see it you the van come on doblo how about calling it doblo 07 get it hahaha 😎🤟
Love the video just a thing i have found with my diesel heater is they use a lot of battery power using the glow plug on start up and shut down i find its far better just to run the heater on a low setting rather than keeping turning on and off saves a load of battery life also get a can of easy start until you get the van fixed little squirt and it will start far easier just for emergency use .
I have a Mk1 diesel Doblo. In cold cold starts I prime the glowplugs two or three times (10 second bouts) before cranking the engine over. The glowplugs then pulse for a further 30 seconds after its started. Safe journeys.
Thought it was not gonna start then! I had a peugeot estate with 3 out of 4 plugs totally shot, it started most of the time in winter! Got them replaced eventually and the guy could not believe it was starting on one! Take care and stay safe x
Hey, I am a truck driver, and I don't have my heater on at night. Unless it is really really cold. I always feel bad (a bit like a hangover) and have a dry throat in the morning. I'd like to program it to go on one hour before wake up. Enjoy your trip. By the way i think Justyna has beautiful eyes😍
Better make sure you don't have even minor carbon monoxide leaks in the gaskets of your heater or some other way carbon monoxide at low levels might be getting in your truck. Take care.
I am pleased to say that I finally bought my first Camper van project. I bought the 2005 Doblo High Top. I really love it. Now will start the conversion process. Nice to see some tips and bits from your project. My main concern is the bumped up extension under the rear seats. :)
It's not too bad to remove, you can either cut it off or use a spot weld drill bit and remove the spot welds, little more time consuming but less danger and nicer result!
Hi both x hope you're OK. Next time you try start the van cold crank it for 4/6 secs then stop.. turn ignition off. Then back on to restart the heater plug relay you should hear a little click. also before cranking first turn the ignition twice to heat the plugs up. hope that it helps. Ps Nice food too
try setting it in temperature mode at 15 degrees C at night you will be much more comfortable and save a lot of fuel, most people sleep in cool bedrooms at home because they sleep under quilts at night. we heat our home with a 2kw diesel heater and it maintains a nice 20 degrees C every day downstairs for 16 hours at 2.0 Hz but we switch it off at night if we close the bedroom door during the day it doesnt get as warm as the downstairs does. we heat internal air and not outside air the heater is mounted on an outside wall in a custom built cabinet. Also try going through the glow plug heating cycle twice on the car by turning off the ignition and turning it back on again an old trick for failing glow plugs in cold weather it may help to get Doblo started sooner instead of all the cranking draining the battery.
Little bit of advise I did a power consumption draw on starting up and would advise when your firing up them chinease heaters run your engine untill the glor plug cuts out which is around 3minuits 30 seconds from start up Then the current draw is negligible guys.
So glad you went back to test the heater and how well it worked! Must get our Betty over there at some point 👍 ace video guys ❤ love Justyna's fit of giggles 🤣🤣🥰
That controller has a built in barometer to determine altitude and automatically adjust the fuel rate according to that, so you should not have to touch any of those settings
Try suspending your diesel heater pump in mid air because it made mine nearly silent, also soak your glow plugs in WD40 for a few days before you change them
Hi, Impressed by your conversion, so much into such a small space. Plus you got a diesel heater in. We're doing a small van conversion and are looking for a 2kW heater that is quiet like yours. Can you tell me the make and model so that I can grab the quietest diesel heater out there? Cheers Ron
Hi Ron, thanks! Ours is a vevor 2kw. I think most heaters all make the same noises. The main thing is how and where you mount the fuel pump, as they're the most annoying sound of a diesel heater install.
Hi and thanks. From what I've read the combustion sides are all similar it's the accessories and controller that vary. So I think I'll find the one which looks to have the best combination and upgrade a few of the suspect bits. Ron @@TeamAteem
Hi, sorry bother you with this, how did you get settings for altitude , fan speed and the frequency of the pump? I tried the manual but it's not so explained. Thanks! Have a nice life!
First of all, congrats for your videos. Cranking moment was tense. My suggestion for rigid climate temps: 1) Make sure you fill up with Diesel adequate for cold climates 2) Turn the Key On 2 or 3 times (waiting for glow plugs light to turn off) before starting, especially if you have glow plug problems, this helps with the startup. 3) Avoid very long cranking (it takes a toll on battery and starter motor).
Thanks, we had plenty of diesel, I did turn the key a few times before & waited for glow plug light to go out. And I'm not sure if it would've started without the long cranking 😆
You will kill your battery by starting like that ;-) It shows a glow plug issue...or the glow plug is not heated enough to start the engine ;-) Another issue - your fuel does not hold on its place and falls back into the tank, so you are not able to start because the fuel needs to be pumped back from the tank to the filter and injectors ;-) Just next time turn the key to just into the 1st position 10-20 times in a row without the start of the engine to properly heat up the glow plug, also it will help to pump the fuel back into the filter and injectors ;-) After that, you can try to turn the key into position 2 and start the engine, should be much faster ;-)
Great video guys … hello from Australia… I wonder if you leave your key position in the on position whether it will heat your glow plugs then try cranking.? Just a thought

You can use deodorant in an emergency spray into air filter box or inlet manifold this will aid starting due to the propellant being a butane/propane mix 👍🏻🇬🇧. We have an Eberspacher diesel heater under our T5 which is great but haven’t tested it in those sort of conditions yet. Great vid.
What size is your leisure battery mate? I've just shoehorned a 105AH under my T5 passenger bench seat sideways with the split charger and inverters. I wanted the 140ah but it was physically too large. I've got a 375w solar panel to fit but was wondering for when it came to the diesel heater.
@@NyqrEn a long time, it doesn't use much power when it's running, only around 1amp on low, the start up is more power demanding at 10amps for a couple of minutes while the glow plug heats up

There's a plastic cover you can get to help minimize the dosing pump noise. And a second, or bigger battery will help.
