Keep going! It takes some practice and not all builds will turn out good, but you'll discover something new and get better each time :)
I usually place a stove and a refrigerator in the high school cafeteria to make it look like a real life cafeteria.
I get those Migraines too. Assist Principle refused to believe me and made me go to class (HIS class) I finished his stupid quiz and threw-up on my desk - then looked right at him and said "May I go home now?" School years were hell!!! XOXO
Dude my middle school nurse denied that I had period cramps? Idk what she was on but every time I had to sit in the nurses office because I didn’t have ibuprofen, she’d always be like “nah you’re just sick honey.”
Augh! This reminds me of when the Lunch Lady in grade school forced me to eat either cornbread or mac and cheese. Oddly, my mom never made mac and cheese, and the cafeteria's was super gluey. Her cornbread was great, but theirs was really soggy. I chose the cornbread, took a couple bites, and promptly threw up on my plate. Luckily everyone else had left for recess because it was one of those, "You're staying here until you eat this!" things. Then I had to go to the Nurse's Office instead of recess, when they knew EXACTLY why I threw up.....

My school was in a rural small town of 2500 people. There were 5 towns that had their own grade schools and we went all combined to go to high school together. My 8th grade grad class was 50 people and my high school grad class was approximately 200.
Im from the “poor” town out of the 5 lol but the high school is in a lake destination village. So lots of fancy people lol. Anyway, our school had insanely amazing things that the tax payers $ went to! Like a huge sports campus and an insane science wing which included an indoor atrium, green house and more. Amazing art opportunities, family and consumer ed… Im grateful for the opportunities it gave so many different type of students! Totally get what simsie is saying about having all that stuff that could interfere with the game but I also know having the suggestion are definitely not hugely uncommon in America… (obviously no all at one school, i get that)
My old high school dates back to 1921 and it's construction was rumored to have been funded through mob connections. The school used to be connected to a tunnel that opened up on the riverfront and according to the tale, this was used to smuggle Canadian liquor coming from the border. My hometown sits on the US/Canadian border for context.
My graduating class was 35. Lol

Speaking of nightmare bathroom stalls, once when I was like 10 ish, we went to a park where the top of the bathroom stalls were like three feet tall. Everyone in there was aggressively NOT making any eye contact. Luckily, I ended up in the handicap stall which was the only one with floor to ceiling walls and a decent door.

In my high school here in brazil when it rained water dropped from the lamps
We had a football field (with a track around it), a spot for shotput, discus, and pole vault outside, baseball, softball, soccer, multipurpose(soccer and football practice), and 8 tennis courts. Inside we had a main gym, smaller gym, 8 lane pool, and weight room.
I was just watching the other highschool’s video, this was so sudden!
[tw] school locker rooms were so traumatizing. I have so, so many horrible stories about them. the one that sticks with me the most, besides the physical harassment, was my bully peeing in my water bottle in the middle of the locker room and making it a spectacle for their friends. When i told the teacher, she laughed at me. This was 6-7 years ago now, and I ended up dropping out of high school early, but holy shit did the bullying and undiagnosed autism ruin me for a while lmao
1:16:07 i was so sad because my high-school didnt have a dresscode and I was SO EXCITED to go from polos n pants to tshirts and shorts and I was able to enjoy it for a year, just long enough to throw out all my middleschool polos and pants before they buckled down and made us either wear polos or you had to buy the HS brand tshirts 😭.
noooo because they did that at one elementary school i went to !!! the dress coding during the star spangled banner 😭😭 one school we sang the national anthem after the pledge every day, plus puff the magic dragon ?????? lmao

on the having a brick school- my elementary school (Pennsyl.) was 2 stories, had a basement, and the outside is solid brick. my schools in Florida were all 1 story of concrete blocks painted all white. they said we need stability !!!!!!!!!! and that's why my florida elementary school FLOODED lmao.
i looked it up and in russian the new pack is called ‘cupid’s arrows’ and i actually love that
The school I grew up going to, my sisters' graduating classes were about 100 kids. I moved schools and mine was 900 and that's/after/ it was split into two different graduations. It was a change.
I liked gym it was the one class where you could play games and have fun. The changing rooms were awful though I’d change in the toilet stall.
My graduating class in 2015 was 326 and I think now they are around 290 per class

High mural = weird? My high school had a giant art piece coming out of the ceiling. 😂
Every school I've ever attended below college level had a main office where you'd check in if you were visiting or go to speak to the principal or whoever. I can't fathom a school not having a front office??? That must be cultural. Our high school office was a giant space just off to the side of the entrance with the principal/dean and nurse's offices included, but the nurse's office also had a separate hallway entrance. It also had the teacher's mailboxes, I think? And nearby were the counselors' offices and a conference room, which you may or may not have had access to via the main office? Probably a hallway between or something, idk.
I missed this live stream on Twitch, but finally was able to watch it today, and wanted to give some feedback on the phone thing in high school.
I graduated hs in 2009. I am nine years older than Kayak.
I remember during the summer between eighth grade and ninth grade, my older brother gave me his Nokia brick phone, but all I could do was play Snake on it. No calls, no texts. So I remember in ninth grade, students started to have their phones taken away and it was a really new thing to teachers and schools. We really couldn't do much on those phones except play games and they were still distracting! I feel like after my generation graduated, was when the iphones and androids got smarter, and then really started to distract the students, affect their school work, concentration, etc.
Hmmm, maybe it's because I'm an older millennial, but I'm glad we didn't have smart phones back in the day with us in hs.

Where I grew up (New York) the pledge of allegiance was said every day but each individual didn't have to say it, like you could just Not. So I just didn't 🤷 Apparently some states (including Florida) require written permission from your parents to not say it but it's part of your first and fourteenth amendment rights to not say it if you don't want to and there's been some big lawsuits over it.
This made me realize we don’t have any mobility aids for sims😢
My graduating class was like 20 people I believe. Our campus had like 7 different schools so the whole graduating class was like 80-90 people at most if I remember correctly. It’s cool but also sucks going to a small school, EVERYONE knows your business lol
My High School was built in the mid 70s, and looks like a prison, with small slit windows..
so, thats how it is in russia. i went typical school, here is one like mine in every residential area. 11 grades, 5-6 groups for each grade, 20-30 ppl each group. 1500+- total.

p.s having a flag at school is not weird to me, just the pledge of allegiance is.
Honestly hearing this stuff contextualises recent political developments. America's been hard-locked into the cult-dictatorship pipeline for a while.
It’s probably worse then you think. I’m from rural PA (it’s up in the Northern part of the USA. PA isn’t really a very conservative state. It is what we call a swing state. It usually swings liberal but every now and again it’ll swing conservative.) At my school they had some people raise and lower the flag in the courtyard of the school. They didn’t make people watch or anything but it was a thing. They’d get together at the beginning of the day with a handful of the students and raise it. (When I went to Girl Scout Camp they’d have some of the older girls both raise and lower the flag everyday during the camp and we’d have to stand there and watch them do it. Girl Scout Camp itself was pretty alarmingly America cultish looking back now.)
For the pledge, in high school, me and a few people just stopped saying it when we realized we didn’t have to. They made us stand up to do it and if you stayed seated they’d make you stand. But as long as you were standing, in my home room, they didn’t make you say it or put your hand over your heart. In some of the other home rooms the teacher made the students say it and put their hand over their heart and everything and if the students didn’t, the teacher threatened to put them in detention. We also had a song for the school we’d sing at the assemblies and at the end of every football game. I was in marching band and the football players and cheerleaders from our team would come over and sing it too. It was super popular in my area to have a song specific to the high school and other schools had it too.
Tbh no wonder it’s so easy for people to fall into cults over here we were raised in one. (there’s waaay more people who are cult survivors over here then you could ever imagine).
