Not just that, but his guitar playing improved massively as well. He was just an alright player in the beginnings but if you listen to this or any of his material from the 70's he sounded so good on the guitar
I have a 3 cd collection called Bob Dylan 1970. I don't know if you have it or not, but it's got about 12 tracks with George playing electric guitar and Dylan singing. It's mostly outtakes from Dylan's albums New Morning and Self Portrait. Just thought I would let you know in case you hadn't heard it or would be interested in it. Take Care.
when I was a child, I couldn't make up my mind which beatles was singing b/c they sound so much alike. at first, I thought this was paul.. Harrison's voice so soft here, very pretty guitar work!
I’m amazed not to’ve heard this before. It’s one of my favourite Bob Dyfan songs. I’m relieved that he sings ‘…. The sun cut flat UNCOVERING the crossroads I’m standing at . It’s sometimes written or sung wrong .
Same here - one of my all time faces but never realised George played it! But I always thought it was I'M COVERING - is that the error or is that me being deaf 😅 uncovering makes complete sense though, thanks!
Listen to George doing an acoustic demo of Dylan's unreleased song from 1970 called I Don't Want To Do It. I think it was going to be included on George's All Things Must Pass album, but he went for If Not For You. There's an electric version that George recorded in 1986 but wasn't released until 2009 on George's Compilation Let It Roll: Songs of George Harrison. The acoustic demo is much better in my opinion.
I always loved the Joan Baez version of this song, released in her 1965' album "Farewell, Angelina". But George brought it to a whole different level, full of sensibility and kindness. Absolutely unique.
This is my favorite Dylan song, and have always loved the Jeff Buckley cover. First time hearing this. Of course, it is awesome. It is The Beatles, lol.
George sings this so sweet and great guitar. Im annoyed UA-cam have banned the clip with George playing and Lennon looks on like as if beautiful George

Wow, hadn’t known he did this song. The Jeff Buckley version has been a frequent play since my breakup a couple months ago. Even though the song makes me sad, there’s something comforting knowing that even legends like Dylan and Harrison experienced the same feelings of loss, grief, and heartache as me.
I heard the Jeff Buckley version for the first time this morning, so now I’m searching for other covers lol… but the JB one is sooooo good, his voice fits the song perfectly and I love how his guitar is less folky.
