If you don't have the OG weapon, is there a reason to still get it or does his new EX weapon completely invalidate the other one?
Yes, his old Ex still turns him into the tankiest def buffer in the game. His new Ex enables more offensive strategies so both are very valuable but it depends on what you are trying to do and how much resources you want to invest
the old weapon is if you want to tank everything on the games pve.

He reduces def on last ammo, increases own attack while drones are attacking, and becomes a machine gun in jet mode (on top of having a 500% dps skill)
It's bullshit that only 20% of sheild defense is applied.his attack stats are still very low with the rifle.even if his attack is increased by 20% that doesn't make him usable as a damage dealer.
Oghma gonna be annoying in pvp because of drones lol😆, but not gonna be super strong that will obliterate the enemy, just some annoying flying thingy

is he really good at pvp? his skill looks difficult to land
the only problem is that his attack doesnt go through walls, which is a problem in arena. i think devs is trying to make oghma a useable raid unit with this weapon
Definately not designed for PvP. Can't hit through walls, skill is super slow to land, the party skill is not a top pick.
