People that listened to the Hybrid Theory EP have heard this before. This is real Linkin Park that we all love. Those early songs that has a dark feel and sound to them
I remember when I first listened to this song (I think for me, maybe 18/19 years ago), I remember it describing exactly how I felt at that time during the hell that was high school. I'd be on repeat daily... because I had finally found someone who understood how I felt. For me, during that time the song had always been about self-harm, about literally cutting yourself free from the pain inside. Which I was way too familiar with. Looking back on the lyrics now I also see how inspiring and uplifting they can be if you read them carefully. Still one of my favourite songs ever though :)
This is the best thing they wrote. It spoke of hope, resilience and taking responsibility for yourself. For some reason, I'm not completely surprised they never performed this. Also I can't think of a single track where Mike sounds the way he does here.
I completely forget if this song was what eventually became Papercut and/or part of another song from a later album but this song stuck with me just as hard as when I first heard Faint for the very first time coming to know LP. Just mind blowing
From shinoda to everyone in the back with their own style of instrumental execution...can someone name one band that can compare to this band on any level!! LP4L
Man I remember signing up to their fan mail. I received a demo of the 4 songs, (including this one) and a singed laminated pic of them in a box. It was amazing! Does anyone else remember?

Part of me won't go away
Every day reminded how much I hate it
Weighted against the consequences

Another piece of yourself that you can't let be
Memories of the last fight to free yourself
Take it to the depths of the bottom of the well

For me, during that time the song had always been about self-harm, about literally cutting yourself free from the pain inside. Which I was way too familiar with. Looking back on the lyrics now I also see how inspiring and uplifting they can be if you read them carefully. Still one of my favourite songs ever though :)
This is the best thing they wrote. It spoke of hope, resilience and taking responsibility for yourself. For some reason, I'm not completely surprised they never performed this. Also I can't think of a single track where Mike sounds the way he does here.
Anyone else here listened through the 6 dead minutes without skipping?
Yes
every time😂😂
Yep, is what a true soldier does
When I’m having a bad day, it makes me feel calm and I can just dwell on my negative thoughts for a while. When it ends, I refocus and move on.
I completely forget if this song was what eventually became Papercut and/or part of another song from a later album but this song stuck with me just as hard as when I first heard Faint for the very first time coming to know LP.
Just mind blowing
i love chesters voice in this!!!
Estou ciente de que não teremos mais músicas nesse estilo com a ausência do grande Chez, mas Linkin Park continua sendo a minha banda favorita.
omg so many years without listening this one. I really love it
Just too relateable. Thanks for your music Linkin Park

Man I agree, linkin park and disturbed are my
Top bands
Man I remember signing up to their fan mail. I received a demo of the 4 songs, (including this one) and a singed laminated pic of them in a box. It was amazing! Does anyone else remember?
Driving around to the static section when you’re in a bad headspace…
It’s not good for you, but it’s a total mood.
Thanks Guys!! Argentina 🇦🇷 miss you so much
Y nunca tocaron esta canción en vivo, me habria fascinado escucharla aunque sea una sola vez es tremendamente brutal.
10:00 best part literally just this
Chester has a very 'Alice in Chains' vibe in this ☠️🖤
You ever hear a track after 13 years and just takes you back to the exact moment of your life when you first heard it . This just happened to me . p.s. still miss Chester
I love this song so much!!!!! very good to see it being officially released
The secret song started at 10:00 is used in Reanimation in 2002. Wow that's too cool....

I used to listen to this track years ago while abusing blow.
Thank God I’ve changed 🙌
The "Secret" song always reminds me of some Final Fantasy-esque melody.

Angry mike is a legend
I did not remember this was so long
Includes the hidden bonus track from the end of the EP

Gianluca Del Giudice an unofficial album? Not a full one at least- maybe 5-6 songs that round on em
@@dillpickles9146 thx
@Antonio Bucciero It doesn't actually. EP means Extended Play. It's shorter than a full album, but it's still an official release by the band.
One of my personal favorites.
Hybrid Theory is still one of the most relevant albums out there
