- For the past 54 years, Thomas 'Tahaka' Gaither has lived behind bars as a political prisoner. A former member of the Black Panther Party Baltimore Chapter, Gaither was a close associate of 'Marshall' Eddie Conway Jr., who spent his last years as host of Rattling the Bars. Although Gaither was released on parole decades ago, he was forced to return to prison in the late 1990s when Gov. Glendering revoked parole for anyone who had received a life sentence. Tahaka Gaither and his daughter, Tara, return to Rattling the Bars to discuss his life, their family's shared struggle to release Tahaka and live on in spite of the prison system, and what Tahaka's incarceration has meant for generations of his family.

He's done far too much time. He needs a pardon from the Governor Wes Moore. I would fully support a petition.
Beautiful.
As a white Texan, i stand for the black panthers! I am not Democrat or Republican. I am anti-authoritarian (aka libertarian). I believe The Black Panthers stood for autonomy, good morals, and family first. I may not believe everything yall ever said, but i would fight for your right to say it. It's never been about black and white, it's always been about wrong and right! Yah the most high bless you all.
P.S. What we a dealing with is 13th amendment slavery. Read the 13th amendment.

What crime was Mr. Gaither convicted of ? You did not discuss this.
Why didn’t Obama pardon him…
You set a trend , look how many followed your example. You helped fill the prisons.
Oh well never mind its not like he's important
