Top 5 Baits For September Bass Fishing!

  • These are the baits we trust to catch bass in September! Bass are headed into transition. As water temperatures drop, the bass move to their Fall haunts and begin feeding heavily on baitfish. If you're not paying attention, the fish can disappear so its important that you rely on baits that can cover water quickly to locate fish.Throw these baits with confidence in likely locations to find success all month long!
    September can be amazing fishing! When you get around schooling fish the bite is like nothing else! Topwater fish, crankbait, fish, and swimbait fish, are all realistic during this period. We spend very little time finesse fishing in September, instead leaning on fast moving, power fishing techniques to get consistent bites. The best part about September is that as you build patterns toward the end of the month, those patterns are likely to last all the way through the Fall and into the beginning of Winter.
    Below you'll find links to the baits Tim discussed in the video. We've included our favorite sizes and colors for each lure so you can fish them with confidence. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

    Yes Sir, Im stoked for this cooler weather, I am ready for herkbait fishin to get hot again. I slayed em on Bull Shoals with a jerkbait last winter. I'm heading to my Arkansas property for about a month in a few more days. Its been mid 90's there, so any kind of cooling will get it poppin soon.

    Great list! I would only swap the Willow blade Spinnerbait for the Chatter.. fish have been seeing endless Chatters since Spring, but they may not have seen a Spinnerbait since cold water months. Cheers y'all

    For my highland clear water fisheries I use a cromed out jerk bait because everyone throws top water and the bass have tapered off of hitting on top and they still want a pause in the bait and it hits the spot for them

      Don’t sleep on this one. Yes, if you don’t get the speed dialed the tail won’t move much. I caught my PB, 10.4 slow rolling a 6” prespawn and many others during this fall transition time. It’s going to surprise you!

      @@CA-sl2xw I too have caught some giants on this bait and you are correct sir on speed control. The five inch is my favorite. But if you get a chance to see the bait on a long cast under water you will see what I mean. Wind a little fast at the beginning of the cast and slow down about half way works perfect. But as I said the profile is so perfect they will bite this bait anyway,it's that good. Thanks for the reply and all the work you guys do,every bass fisherman are better because of your videos.

      More line(longer cast) off the reel, the lower your IPT(inches per turn) will be. So you start reeling faster at the beginning of the retrieve and go slower the bait gets back to you.

    Yesterday i had a huge blowup on my frog, and I waited the 2 seconds to set the hook and I felt the pressure on my line, but when i set or really hard I didn't get it. Do you think this is because I still had my mono leader on my braid?

    • @andybales7318
      @andybales7318 Рік тому +1

      Regardless of the line, leader, etc...hook up ratio on frogs will always be lower....many times, the bass just doesn't get a hold of it good enough..taking in water & frog in their mouth at the same time, sometimes they just don't get it very good....there are times, they don't miss all day...they are seeing it really good....some days, it's in their throat...that's when u know the frog bite is on..I've had days with no braid combos, and had to use 20-25lb. Mono & hooked up 90%...no guarantees in bass fishing

    • @dontnonowuno9953
      @dontnonowuno9953 Рік тому +1

      Never fish mono with frog ..trust me that stretch in the line is a killer when you need to "drive "the hooks.Fine for poppers, cranks, spooks but never frogs.straight braid all day

      @andybales7318 Рік тому +1

      @@dontnonowuno9953 unless u are using under 17-20 lb. Mono, the "stretch" factor is exaggerated....Another myth put out there by the "pros"...a bass's mouth isn't made of iron, like people believe....I've caught plenty of frog fish with 20-25lb. Mono , and so did the first true frog fisherman....Braids a great line for frogs, but it's not a MUST
