- In this video I return with a 7 years ownership update of the Alfa Romeo 159 2.0 JTD Ti SW. Now with just over 100.000 km on the meter, I share my thoughts on whether any car could replace it.

I just saw this - although it is a year later, I still have to put a comment in. I own the same spec car as you do, but in Rosso red with black roof rails, a 2010 with over 188,000 km and not a rattle or squeak from the interior. Passed it's last yearly road check here in the UK (MOT) with no problems - and they have strict measures to make sure your car is safe. I love driving this car and I find it to be an excellent daily driver. Giving it a blast on a motorway to clean out the DPF regularly is both necessary and fun!
Thanks for watching. I traded the car in last September, but I would have loved to keep her if I could have. It was always the best looking car anywhere we went. It's a shame AR discontinued the Sportwagon.
Hey mate, i own a 2.4 jtdm and i habe a question: do you mean the smoke coming out on the highway by „cleaning out the dpf“? Is that normal? Thx and stay safe
My 08 2.4 jtdm is amazing
The 159 is great!
I was looking for a few of these models on the Blocket. M32 gearbox scared me away from the regular 2.2jts and also the timing chain problem with that engine. thank you for your info
Thank you for watching. Traded in the car almost a year ago. Although I'm very happy with my new car I sometimes regret getting rid of the 159.
@@roadofplenty237 Did you have a problem with the EGR or the Flap in the intake manifold? there are 2 white 159 2.0 JTDm on the Blocket. try to get one of them :)
@@qianyu1982 I didn't have any problem during the 8 years I owned it except for the steering lock stopped working a month before I sold it. I am a rather gentle driver though. Most of the miles were on highways and motorways.
Buying a used Alfa is a gamble on it's own, not just a QV :D
Thanks for watching. My 159 ownership was very free of trouble, so I can't really tell.
Is is basically german, engine is Opel, gearbox Toyota. No problems at all, only suspension components are pretty expensive but they last a long time
@@tedarcher9120 sorry mate but you dont know nothing about cars, engine is fiat gearbox on this one is f42 also fiat m32 is opel automaticmodels have japanesse gearbox
@@MrVukovicivan engine is gm, same as they use in vauxhall and saab. You don't know what you're talking about.
so this is better than the 2.4 id say and certainly the 1.9
I couldn't tell, but I sure liked it, especially with a bit of ECU tuning.
I have had a 1.9 2008 model for a year now have still yet to have a single engine problem.
Actually no,1.9 ,especially 2.4 are a lot better engines. But if u mainten them properly u wont have any issues
@@StrahinjaRadinovic no. 2.0 is more modern, more efficient, has more power and cheaper parts, because it is used millions of Opel and GM cars, google a20tdh, this engine
I own one and the issues are consistently occurring
Sorry to hear. I didn't have any problem whatsoever with mine.
Sorry to hear that. I had to replace the origiinal battery last week on my 08 and my power steering hoses were getting there so I just had them replaced no other issues at all
First
and only
@@manuelbabic2353 thank
This thing has double wishbone front. Same as 911 gt3rs, base 911 Turbo doesn't even get it
