I am Chris Henry I feel you on that, I definitely miss the Shop feel sometimes, mainly working with my guys. You gotta anny up on your online presence, they are still out here. Put yourself out there enough and they’ll find you, I can promise you that.
Once you find a spot, how do you go about making it an "official" business? Would i still have to call the state board and go through the same process as if I was opening up a regular shop?
RUDEBOYTHEDON 90250 for here in MD yes. If you go to one of the bigger salon suite chains. They will have a barbershop license, you will just have to have a barber license. If you open your own suite your responsible for the barbershop license and your barber license. Not sure for what state your in but I’m sure you’ll need at least a barber license to do so. You can google “(your state) State Barber Board” and do a little research on their website. In my experience if you can get someone on the phone, they also don’t mind answering any questions you have. They want you to know the rules better so they normally don’t mind being patient and explaining everything to you. Also you can call the salon suites near you and just ask them what info and licenses do they require.
Some of the suites I have been coming across have been in extremely quiet buildings, do you think clipper noise would be a problem?
