Casting Mayim and Melissa as series regulars are one of the best things the show runners has ever done

Mayim is the bomb. She is highly intelligent and blows most celeb interviews out of the water. She's on point with what she says, and absolutely a great role model, and hero.

The girls brought something that the show lacked from season 1-3. Truly, without them, the show might not have survived like it had.
This! So true; as I've said on another comment: the time they were added was when it was gradually getting better and better each year.. I mean the show was good on its own but including them made so much out of it, and just like in real life we meet new people who become an instrument to building our personality.
It wouldn't have been the same without them. Their characters are solid GOLD I tell ya, luv em.

I think it's great that Mayim got her Phd and now she is a neuroscientist and works as an actress at the same time . Such a role model . I think there is nothing more beautiful than a person who is intelligence , humble and speaks her own mind .

Mayim is drop dead gorgeous with a brain up there. Melissa couldn't be any cuter than she is. Both are dearing and lovable folk.
Don't get me wrong, Kaley is beautiful but the show constantly treats her as if she's prettier than these two - I don't agree. Larry is creepy here. Poor Melissa keeps looking to Mayim as if to say _help_
I think It’s just based on the different roles. Kaley’s role is the pretty girl whose dream is to be an actress and academically not very smart. (She has street smarts tho) The other two girls are supposed to be very academically intelligent girls, both with jobs in the science field, and also not too attractive. That’s why their looks get downplayed a lot in the show. When irl, they’re much prettier than their characters. It’s just the way the writers designed the characters.

The thing is,portraying intelligent women as not very attractive is wrong.
@@shrutikumari2782 not exactly . almost all women cast is attractive but showing intelligent women also attractive will showcase that women need to be attractive to be appreciated. which should not be the case.
I think they are all beautiful! They just play different roles. My favorite female character is Amy.
Interviewing with Larry King must be terrifying. He doesn't actually care about the answers, he just spits his questions at you at a massive pace like it's a game show.
lol I was thinking the same thing, However I thought he was annoying with asking so many questions and not giving the woman adequate time to answer.
Ludicrous. Anyone whose ever talked with him says otherwise. Larry King is often considered one of the best interviewers ever.
Editors cut out the dead air and sometimes cut out part of the answers for pacing. It's just editing.

Melissa’s real voice is very pleasant. The cast has great momentum and hits every episode very powerfully. Matin is always brilliant, Melissa is compelling.
The spanking scene was hilarious. I am glad Chuck let us see it. One of my favorite episodes.

Really enjoyed the interview. Mayim seems shy and vulnerable, a good actor. Melissa seems more confident, I love the character Bernadette in the Big Bang

Mayim is a very interesting person, not only a good actress. I had no idea she actually had a phd in neurosciences. it's kinda funny that she claims she's got social issues like her charachter amy because here she just looks supernice and awesome !
It seems to me that Larry didn't want to be there : he gave the impression that he didn't give a damn about the questions or the answers. Although Mayim and Melissa remained animated and enthusiastic, Larry seemed bored.

It was more like a quiz rather than an interview, where Mayim and Melissa were the winners.
So Larry King got himself a list of questions, many of them do not relate to each other necessarily, and he kept firing them out in a monotonic voice, and gave no reaction at all to the people he was interviewing. With communication skill like this, how did he get his own talk show in the first place? I wonder.
He is the epitome of interviewers. Read his bio. This was solid because of him and their respect for him. He has been the best for decades, even when he was the primary ratings guy on CNN for decades... Is it only kids who watch this and have no idea who Larry King is? Kids these days....

the FIRST time we watched the show was the bus pants episode....my husband started to laugh hysterically, my jaw dropped to the floor ...see...I have airplane pants...realized after two more episodes that Sheldon was actually my child, switched at birth with one of our boys...had to binge watch every episode up to then...and now watch 2 hours plus every night of reruns...to know there is someone , even if a fictional character, with the same OCDs as yourself is somehow liberating...and love love love Mayims videos

i really love these two but this guy's interviewing technique makes me really uncomfortable. it's just like he's putting them on edge, like he doesn't agree with any of their points (particularly Mayim's stuff about veganism, or attachment parenting, it just sounds like he's judging her) he just throws question after question at them, even if they haven't finished speaking just yet, and questions that are unrelated from the last one. doesn't feel natural or comfortable.

On the other hand, I think Bialik would still be answering the first question if he didn't interrupt occasionally. He kept having to redirect so that Rauch could get a few words in, and even then Bialik interrupts. they only have so long for the segment and MB's a talker who seems to think every question is dirēcted to her.
King is an absolute professional interviewer. He goes in to an interview with an agenda and to get from point A to point B, he has to direct the interviewer. He asked a few questions & follow ups that the pair obviously didn't know the answers to but all in all he kept the interview moving
That's what an interviewer does. He's not there to agree with them or sanction them. It's about them. Not him. Larry King always the best.

Mr King doesn't know any of his facts, he asks the most expectable questions, he reads everything from the cards and he gives them nothing in the field of sympathy. Does he ever show any signs of emotion?

I agree with you! I want to find out about what goes on on the set, behind-the-scenes stories, relationships between cast and crew, etc. What I don't want is the next season being spoiled by giving away the story, and I don't really care what the cast members think about China's political stance against American media.
You can see that Larry King makes Mayim and Melissa feel awkward when asking them questions. I thought Larry was renowned in America for his interviews/TV shows!

He's been the best interviewer on the planet for decades. No dead air. Asks solid questions... This is how it's done. Too many people have seen too many bad interviewers.

From 2000 to 2015, I conducted background investigations for subjects wishing to obtain Top Secret clearances from the Government. At times, I had to interview former teachers and professors of subjects in the fields of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Initially, I met professors who were real life Sheldons. They were extremely hard to establish a rapport. After a couple of years of interviewing such people, I began my interviews with a simple question: "Would you consider yourself a Sheldon or a Leonard?" That question, 90% of the time, would immediately establish the rapport as they were fans of the show and readily admitted they were nerds and geeks (as I was in school). The remaining 10% were the Sheldons (if you know what I mean).

I watch so many interview podcasts. Larry is the only one who reads questions off of cards and seems to know nothing about the guests
I'm aware that "Larry King" is a thing in the US, but this is a painful interview where the host gives off the " I've no idea what this is but it's doing well so I need to do a talk show about it" vibe. Painful to watch , clearly it's time for him to hit the retirement path..

hi, you two are simply great. You all are fantastic. The bbt is the only tv program i watch. i have seen everything i could find on the internet. To be honest, you are the only people who make me smile. hope the series will never finish, and a film would be nice.
The first time my partner said about me watching the Big Bang Theory, I asked what it was about. The first thing he said to me was the word science and as soon as I heard that, it didn't hold my interest. It was only when I probably saw him watching it and sat down with him I said it was really good. I liked the character of penny and so then we sat down and watched it from the beginning and from then on, I was hooked. We rewatch all the episodes again and again when we sit down for our evening meal, it never gets boring and we love it. Total fans of the show. Sheldon's funny. Penny's hot and totally awesome and you learn to love every single character. Xx

Rauch is smoking hot regardless, but the glasses thing really does raise the bar. Hate to admit it, but for some odd reason the voice even adds to the package, lol. Bernadette is definitely hotter than Rauch😜

This is what happens when intelligent people get interviewed by not so intelligent reporters. The hair dye has gone to his head. Melissa is my favourite although they are all really good actors.

+donepearce You want empathy, go watch those louds hens on The View. Unlike most hosts, Larry King talks to his guests like human beings, not like he's a huge fan who's starstruck.
donepearce Are you new to watching talk show hosts? They ALL have questions prepared before time. And you must be hard of hearing if you can't hear the replies, they were all clear and concise. A great host is able to elicit those kinds of responses.

Mayim was wrong. TBBT was already popular before they were in it. Also, the show was funnier the first 3 seasons.
And when did she says otherwise? whatever you like it or not the show after season 3 it's a FACT that the audience and critical changed after season 4 so no she's not wrong.

I was shocked when Melissa doesn't sound much like Bernadette.
I am really good friends with her brother Ben. I know her too. We went to elementary school together. Nicest people ever!!!
