- Oh boy, can't wait to see the comments on this one. Operation: Self-Assembly was a recent operation where we brave Clone Troopers faced down the Droid menace, all while beating up ourselves and the Jedi with our burly Clone fists.
What unit/clan is this?
This is my unit, the Cadian XXth. Casual milsim, roleplay and all those weird ops that you never get to play in your normal milsim group. It can be found in the discord: / discord
What is this mod?
Legion Studios made up the core of the modded content, while Webknight is the modder who made the Droid melee as well as player melee and Jedi Force powers.

I hear people talking about how hard the supers were in that game, but I never had any trouble with them! I just ran up into their faces, stabbed them until the armor came off, then just kept stabbing while my squadmates shot at them. if you get in their face and circle around them while constantly stabbing, they fall like a sack of potatoes. Granted, this only worked if there was one, but if there's 2, just have your squad distract the other, you can deal with one of them easy
I seem to have a particularly bad memory of needing about 5 anti-tank launcher rounds to kill one.
@@comradebusman3 I distinctly remember this tactic. Sadly it didn’t work and there were many more tears on the hardest difficulty of the game

When Order 66 came down upon this clone legion, they didn’t even need to commit it because they already accidentally ran over their Jedi general and his padawan!
They were relieved that the paperwork was made easier from the order.

I like the idea of, as soon as Order 66 drops, a couple clone vic pilots just veering to ram into one another and 0.5 seconds later a Jedi gets flattened by a walker-turned-unguided projectile from 7 miles away.

The entire clone detachment going from fighting each other for the fun of it to executing Order 66 on a Jedi with their fists for smacking one of their own is without a doubt pure sibling energy.

Canonically, Clones called their Jedi “General” because that was their actual rank in the GAR.

SBDs are kind of a perfect enemy to have in an ARMA op, something big tough and dangerous that needs concentrated firepower to bring down, but isn't so tough it needs AT. It lets good commanders flex a bit and gets the whole squad involved at once. Plus, its satisfying to bring down as a team.
That clone rolling out of the LA-AT has got to be the most badass thing I've ever seen in star wars.
That BF2 style mission opening filled me with such nostalgia.

and i think the only time I've ever seen any version of it is during rebels
It's a Republic Police Dropship. It was used by Republic planetary defense forces and some surplus ones were used by Imperial garrisons and the Corporate Sector Authority.
They were renamed in canon to LAAT/LE.

By the way, in case it hasn't been mentioned already, 9:45 is an LAAT/le. Essentially a police transport variant of the standard LAAT/i used by the Coruscant Guard during the Clone Wars. Though it was also later used as more of just a standard transport/gunship by the Empire.
The “lasers” are much more satisfying than regular Arma tracers

6:39 Order 37 was one of a series of contingency orders that the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic learned when they were being trained on Kamino. It dealt with using a large amount of civilian hostages to force the capture of an individual.
I love that the droids are not just good at melee but actively seem to try and close the distance to punch the clones. The clankers have had their emotions upgraded and now can only feel rage.
That Jedi made a mistake jumping. Everyone knows Rimmy counts as an anti-air unit when wielding a pistol

Every time you punched a clone I thought of the helmets breaking from Genndy Tartakovsky's clone wars.
The punching is never not funny. It's just so needlessly violent while also being incredibly useless. Fucking slapstick gold.
Now I wished I had this game. And could play with you mad lads. Clones punching each other out and Jedi doing ragdolls is what I need more of in my life.

I thought that at the end the Zeus will make them execute order 66 or at least when the mission was ending.
Like they are close to victory,either after a battle or at the end of the batttle, but then he contacts high ranking clones and gives them the order, they tell the other clones,get into postition and they attack the Jedi.
You know ,something similar how Ki-Adi Mundi (The Jedi with a long head and beard) was attacked,while charging at droids

That 'Clone fighter-craft' is the Imperial LAAT, it was to replace the ones in the Republic and used mostly for police operations.

I see the supers are as tough as they are in Republic Commando.
The melee attack (punching mostly) being quick combined with the noise it makes on impact being so "crunchy" always got a laugh out of me, especially when they run up out of nowhere right at you (or whatever your perspective was) and then hit you with a knuckle-grinding punch. Every single time, always a laugh, to the point of rewinding to rewatch punches. I am in tears. It's hilarious.

Idk why but the sight of a platoon of clones whooping the shit out of a Jedi was immensely satisfying.
Rimmy, the "Clone Fighter Craft" you saw is a form of dropship/gunship used by the Coruscant Underworld Police and Coruscant Guard
If I remember correctly, the thing you called a clone fighter craft is used by the empire (and maybe the republic) for use inside cities to transport fire team sized units for more police style work.
So it's the Republic Commando version of Super Battle Droids
