I actually did that with a friend in a Leopard 2A6M that I'm working on. It was quite fun working as a tank crew together, even though being the loader got kind of repetitive. We didn't have a driver while firing though, since our other friend was busy being shot at by us in his sinking ship. XD
Fun facts about this tank: t The CROWSAuto Canon is actually radar-guided unless you override it with manual control meaning all you had to do was hold down 2 on the keyboard and it would have shot at the tanks in front of you Also at the right side rear of the turret there was an APU On top of the turret there was an openable door hatch that could reload the main gun ammunition if necessary The aps warning system actually causes the tank to automatically fire a flare if it's locked on to buy something (I don't know how effective it would actually be on disrupting the lock) There was a machine gun attached to the main gun but the reason it wouldn't fire was because it wasn't loaded
I would like to see the addition of both soft and hard APS. For those that don't know, soft APS would be more like a jammer instead of an actively seeking out projectiles to defeat. Disrupts infrared signals so certain weapons systems cannot lock on to you, mostly older ATGMs. Hard APS would be a counter projectile that seeks out potential threats and attempts to stop it.
500m is not really far, autocannon should still be precise on that range... (main tank cannons can even do 3km irl) and seems overpowered seeing how a few hits penetrated the APC.
I try to be cautious when comparing again the real world. Games often need to rescale their distances so travel times don't get out of hand. It *did* seem broken that a few scattered shots destroyed a tank, but we also don't know how exposed the warheads were.
@@hunormagyar1843its made so you cant just snipe another player from across the map,you need to be close enough to actually be engaged in proper combat
@@abas656thegodemperor9 That's combat in general, but this was done very unrealistically. Course, Stormworks was never strong about realistic physics... Yes, you do need to get within like 200-300m of an enemy in a real gunfight with ARs. Not within 5m and you still miss despite sights right on the target.
@@hunormagyar1843 i've made a tank that can accurately fire from 1.5~ km,its not really reasonable though, it has a mosquito barrel, hitting long range shots isnt impossible but its not as fun as close quarters combat
Loved the video @MrNJersey! I saw @Frantic try this tank out against the AI and he kept getting himself absolutely destroyed. He was getting shot by the AI Ships, Eurofighter Typhoons, and even the Helicopters were firing rockets at him and destroying the tank! Would love to see Aircraft like the McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II, Grumman A-6E Intruder, Vought F-8E Crusader, Ling-Temco-Vought A-7E Corsair II or even the General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark in Stormworks to provide Air Support for Vehicles like the M48A2 Patton Tanks and M113A3 APC's.
Was it armored though? Weight blocks are the armor, though IMO there should be like proper armor added; something that does look different from the normal block but still looks actually good on a vehicle. And armor wedges n pyramid stuff are much needed as well.
Both mg’s need to be manually loaded the one on top has all the ammo around it and the one in the big cannon is to t he left of it and also needs to be loaded manually
Would be pretty cool if you had a few more guys operating this tank in multiplayer

@@shoeby9273 soft kill APS is probably already possible, someone just has to make an extremely advanced microcontroller
the armor arround the sides is called ERA, (explosive reactive armor) made to defend the tank from HEAT and HE shells.
Mostly heat and sabot, not HE as HE doesnt have much penetration anyway
Doesn’t work well in stormworks now does it

@@toast3 A 20mm could penetrate a lightly armored APC and cause an ammo explosion pretty easily. However that accuracy is fucking abhorrent.
Cause there are no armor in this game
10:04, By the way high explosive in real life at that angle would most likely be countered by the ERA at 400 meters
range doesn't matter since heat rounds and he shells don't use kintetic energy to penetrate things
there is no actual ERA in stormworks
they really need to buff the accuracy a bit :D
Ikr these guns are literally able to miss at point blank, like the cartridges are a much lower caliber than the barrel or something. lmao

So can 3 people actually pilot this tank together or does it just become a laggy unplayable mess?
If they run a very powerful server and just 1-2 small vehicles they may be able to get a fun experience.
Hope they buff autocannon accuracy. We're in the 2030s, not the 1930s. :(
1930 is far more modern than what i have. I use a Chiyoda frigate (1860) 😂

Great video man, :D

Where do you find the convoys?
He probably spawned it himself

I got the dlc and can’t figure out how to bind a fire button
