If you're referring to how Paduk got his scar it's from the Lightmass Missile sent by the COG to end his mini-civil war. That conflict was solely UIR loyalists vs “traitors” as Paduk mentions so it is unlikely will see it but who knows?
This man literally resurrected my love for Gears of War last year, and I’ve watched nearly every video since. If a Berserker isn’t in E-Day, I will be hella upset. She’s not only a tough bitch. But adding blindness to her but with abilities to hear and smell you would give an extra horror vibes as done in the first Gears of War game.
Marcus and Dom didn’t know what a berskerer was in the 1st gears of war till Baird told them, we’d probably hear a berskerer and see an aftermath of a room but not see or fight it unless we get a little segment as another gear

I mean, it was established in gears tactics that Ukkon was the one who created creatures like the Brumaks, and that takes place 12 years before the first Gears of War. If they created a new big monster enemy type they can easily say that its a creation of Ukkon that died out after his death.
I love that in the Tralier for E Day, we see Marcus getting threw across the room by a normal drone, which showcases how Horrifying the Horde Truly is giving me Halo Reach Vibes which humanity is fighting a losing battle against an unstoppable force. (If Context the Surivors of Emergency Day called the ones that died the lucky ones)

Instead of just seeing raam and skorge in just cutscenes, I think it’d be cool to have a whole locust expansion story focusing on raam and skorge on EDAY and have the locust meeting and everything. I’ve always wanted a whole locust gears game but I’d definitely settle for a whole expansion story.
14:42: I say hell yes to that! I too want to see a locust council meeting in a cut scene and then I want to see a DLC for Gears E-day where you get to play as RAAM and the bloodied Vangaurd. When the locusts interact with each other I want to see them speak their native language and then we, the players, can read the subtitles to understand what they are saying. EDIT: this might be a bad idea since it would take away from the horror and mystery aspect of not knowing where these creatures appeared from and what is their purpose. I'd say, just keep the whole locust council for a possible dlc so that way e-day's atmosphere remains dark and mysterious.
Bloodmounts would be a welcome addition again, I kind of miss seeing the imposing double threat flusher enemy type that appeared in only Gears 2 and never again
What if E-day actually follows mutiple squads? So in one act you follow Marcus and Dom, and then in anouther you follow a differnet squad, before jumping back to Marcus and Dom. That might be a way for them to include stuff like the Theron and Kantus, without breaking the established lore since those other squads could fight those enemies. It could also be a neat way to show the scale of destruction during E day.

Jermad would make interesting antagonist, if they go the “American Sniper” approach. A sniper taking out the major COG officials & politicians. Leaving a few leaders to lead the COG as seen in the original trilogy and books instead of them all being killed by Locust Horde in single day during E-Day. I mean, it was massive army and government. It would make interesting dynamic between Jermad & RAAM, as they coordinate an attack on COG leadership. While also Marcus & Dom would be onto them, as this is the first time, RAAM is introduced. Because I wondered where they even heard the name of Locust Horde General in the first time.

Seeing more early variants of Cog weapons would also be cool especially stuff carried over from the pendulum wars that was phased out later due to difficulty of production or other factors

That first encounter in the first game terrified me as a kid, that and the kryll cemented my love of the franchise. I beat 4 and 5 but they didn't have that horror vibe of the first 3
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised for an entire rework of the story considering that Marcus was active even before E-DAY but, acts like he hasn’t seen anything outside of drones and wreches for a war that was going on for almost 15 years at the time of GOW1
So far, most of what you said does make sense and agree with, maybe we'll see more unknown hollow creatures like... the locust dragon in the cut content for gears of war 1 that one could make a return for a final boss
I'm glade that those centipedes aren't coming back or the armored priests maybe in a multi-player dlc bundle, or a Locust campaign dlc (where you play as the Locust during E-Day).
This ,hint be a long shot, but characters I would love to see make a cameo in E Day are Uzil Sraak, RAAM, and Skorge. I would the game bonus points if the game highlights the feud between Uzil Sraak and RAAM.
Something cool that could happen to get the cutsceenes you want those could be the opening cutscene and intro mission as a way to show how powerful the locus are then make you feel less by switching sides
The planet of sera is big. Who knows the different type of locust that were deployed through out the years. Marcus and dom just didn't encounter certain variants.
Building on your locust council meeting idea, id love to have more moments where we see through the eyes of a locust in the game. I know playing as them in the story mode is probably off the table, but just getting cutscenes or glimpes through their view would be so badass.
I really hope someone at the coalition is a king abz subscriber and shows this video and the new recent ones to the team,they can learn from this man,he's the best source for gears of war lore and knowledge that I know of,and deserves to have his opinion heard from the devs.
I personally advocate for a retcon for Delta's squad first encounters with specific Locust types for the sake of enemy variety. The absence of Therons, Kantus, and Berserkers would make for a pretty shallow roster of enemies for the game's PVE pillar like Horde and any potential mode they could debut in this game.
Taking into account that The Coalition will probably want to take advantage of a couple of hours after the start of E-Day until the early hours of the second day (which is approximately 60 hours due to the 28hr schedule in Sera) we will see the full power and total brutality of the Locust Horde, Grenadiers, Ravagers, Therons, Sword Therons, Ragers, Maulers, Kantus and i hope Zealots and other Tactic's Locusts, we will hear on civilian and COG radios about Karn's devastating attack on Gorasnaya and the COG's attempts to provide aid while responding to an attack on the same scale in the countries encompassing Tyrus, we will hear about the beasts from Ukkon taking entire cities and other creatures annihilating lifeboats, helicopters and civilian populations in congestion and above all to Raam at the head of the Horde after taking a COG Military Base. So, knowing that Skorge served as High Priest of the Order of the Kantus thanks to RAAM and Myrrah, he probably attacked for a few hours healing Locust until he retreated and started managing his Order (which is why not even the COG Veterans knew of his existence until Gears of War 2) and that leaves us with another pair of important Locust: Vurl Jermad and Ketor Vrol. On the one hand, Vrol looked like something old and delicate, but the model of him in Gears 5 shows him as an imposing Kantus, regardless of this we saw that the Locust do not necessarily have to be strong to impose, as this happens with Karn. Vrol could have commanded an attack with his chants on some important base, calling hundreds of creatures from the Hollow to destroy cities without mercy and making it a key point for Skorge to learn to sing on that scale and thus harness his power to awaken and control the Riftworm, performing the Locust Horde's greatest feat since E-Day, and this may be where Ketor dies. On the other side we have Vurl Jermad, the sniper and Lieutenant of RAAM, this Locust has the appearance of a Theron and we know that these enemies are to be feared. I honestly think it would be a waste to kill Vurl so quickly, in my opinion he could play an important role being sent by RAAM to test himself, becoming an important head for the COG to cut and for the game to time-skip about 5 years and more campaign levels to see Jermad again, now bigger and wearing Black Theron Armor and a unique helmet, making him the Final Boss and then being able to kill him without problem, since in RAAM's Shadow this character doesn't appear and instead we have a Elite Theron who opts for close combat with a Sawed-Off Shotgun with blades, the complete opposite of Jermad's sniper nature. If we want something personal, I would opt for a massive Boss Boomer, I would call him "Glutton" the Boomer, since Eat was the word that this Locust repeated the most because he consumed its enemies, in the past renegade locust and lost humans, now this Lieutenant with an outstanding intellect in contrast to the average Boomers is dedicated to brutally attacking the COG by himself armed with an War Club and a pair of chained pets that look like pale tarantulas with tentacles.
I think Skorge and Ukkon should be shown or mentioned in E-Day since both are second in command of the Locust Horde while RAAM remains their top dog But how can we have a new Locust leader that could be a threat to Marcus and Dom on this horrific event that is happening throughout the planet Sera? While we have yet to see a Gears of War game that sets in the Pendulum Wars, I’ve been wanting to see Emergency day ever since 2006. And I’m very excited for Gears of War: E-Day.
Fingers crossed that the berserker segment from gears of war 1 returns. Obviously it can’t feature Marcus or Dom but maybe as part of a prologue with just regular gears as they have no idea on how to stop it, would be great for the horror element.
Personally I believe Kalona is a district of another city. A bit like how Halvo Bay in Judgement had districts. Seahorse Hills for example. So it could be any of the cities within Tyrus. My bet is it’s a district of a city we’ve already seen, Ephyra, Halvo Bay or potentially Jannermont.

I still can’t believe there is a game that set during eday and not just reference it or a game set a month or a few months after eday. I can’t wait to play this game. I always wanted a game to be set during eday in game not just a book or a tv show but in a game. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do in the game when it comes out. Gears of war eday and call of duty black ops 6 is some of the games that I really want to play at the moment. Hopefully gears of war eday will hold us over until gears of war 6 comes out whenever gears of war 6 comes out that is. The gears of wars eday trailer gave me halo reach vibes.
If we also play as other charcters we still could get some locust variants and stick to the lore, like Baird with the berserker or theron guards.. he already knew them in gears 1

As much as I love learning what locust could appear in E-Day but there only three things got have a attention. 1: Were going to play as Marcus again, besides Master Chief and Commander Shepard the best solider in gameing history. 2: Dom is alive the best character in gears. 3: We'll get to see young Cole and Baird, and all the characters that died like maybe we will see or heard about Tai, Kim or A Carmine.
I don’t think you mentioned the Tickers, they could definitely be in the game. Actually it’s possible to have Kantus and Theron guards in the game so long as Marcus or Dom never encounter them. Maybe in a separate cutscene or spin-off story like Raam’s Shadow. Moving away from the locust i wonder how much of Adam Fenix we’ll get to have in GOW E-day. I’d love to see his reaction before & after E-day since he was the only one who knew it was coming. Please do a video on Weapons or Vehicles next.
Im not sure about the berserker scene though I feel like There's still enough wiggle room for the berserker to make sence. Also since marcus and dom haven't met cole or baird till way later then a possibility is that they may do a shared story. Two sides experiencing different threats like baird and cole encounter the Theron instead of Marcus and Dom.
I don’t think the krill can come back since Marcus doesn’t seem to know about them during the first game since he doesn’t understand why it bing dark out is bad until he sees it
I hope some kind of ground transport hollow creature is introduced. They don’t seem to have much in the way of troop transports other than gas barges and boats, so maybe they have some sort of creature who can carry a dozen or so grubs, but it was phased out as it became apparent just using e-holes behind enemy lines was more efficient
Idk i love the original trilogy but i would prefer a reboot. Gears of war without baird, cole, theron guards, or berserkers sounds off to me specially if they do sequels of the war before the events of the first game.
Here's an idea an extra mission after the campaign where you can play as raam and skorge sorta like that one lord of the rings game where after you finish the game you get the evil story and can play as sauron that would be sick

I think it would be amazing if they showed the enormous scale of the COG and locust with truly massive battles during the early days of the war. Then you mix is with intense horror segments.
I would like to see a designated Mortar Class of Drone. I also would like to a sort of LMG class of Drone, a middle ground between The Grinder and Troika, I'd like to see them introduce a gun similar in concept to the Claw LMG from "Gears 5".
if i'm correct i am pretty sure Dom's kids died on E day so i am interested how that will be handled also sadly no cole train unless it takes place over multiple days or even weeks
Id love a mission after the main fighting is over, with the city completely devastated and silent, give us a flashlight on our weapon and have us walk through crumbling areas and locust patrols to find/get to something
I’d find it really cool if we got a different point of view (another squad) for one act where you play as a basic cog gear squad in a different city, and throughout this act you can actually face enemies such as the therons or hell even get to see locust like RAAM.
Baird knew what the Theron's were that leads me to believe that they were around prior, it' snot surprising if they wernt released everywhere as they were fighting the lambent, same could be said about the Kantas or really most of the locust you've said, so some could have been diverted to the ground invasion. :)

That sounds like a banging idea, imagine one second your flighting as Marcus and Dom, the next your in Vasguard playing as Paduk with a URI squad.

That first encounter in the first game terrified me as a kid, that and the kryll cemented my love of the franchise. I beat 4 and 5 but they didn't have that horror vibe of the first 3

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised for an entire rework of the story considering that Marcus was active even before E-DAY but, acts like he hasn’t seen anything outside of drones and wreches for a war that was going on for almost 15 years at the time of GOW1
They need to respect the established lore, hell, even Gears 5 acted as a payoff for the implications of the second game

So far, most of what you said does make sense and agree with, maybe we'll see more unknown hollow creatures like... the locust dragon in the cut content for gears of war 1 that one could make a return for a final boss
I'm glade that those centipedes aren't coming back or the armored priests maybe in a multi-player dlc bundle, or a Locust campaign dlc (where you play as the Locust during E-Day).
This ,hint be a long shot, but characters I would love to see make a cameo in E Day are Uzil Sraak, RAAM, and Skorge. I would the game bonus points if the game highlights the feud between Uzil Sraak and RAAM.
Something cool that could happen to get the cutsceenes you want those could be the opening cutscene and intro mission as a way to show how powerful the locus are then make you feel less by switching sides
The planet of sera is big. Who knows the different type of locust that were deployed through out the years. Marcus and dom just didn't encounter certain variants.

Building on your locust council meeting idea, id love to have more moments where we see through the eyes of a locust in the game. I know playing as them in the story mode is probably off the table, but just getting cutscenes or glimpes through their view would be so badass.
I really hope someone at the coalition is a king abz subscriber and shows this video and the new recent ones to the team,they can learn from this man,he's the best source for gears of war lore and knowledge that I know of,and deserves to have his opinion heard from the devs.

I personally advocate for a retcon for Delta's squad first encounters with specific Locust types for the sake of enemy variety. The absence of Therons, Kantus, and Berserkers would make for a pretty shallow roster of enemies for the game's PVE pillar like Horde and any potential mode they could debut in this game.
They could add locust variants that’s died after E-day
Taking into account that The Coalition will probably want to take advantage of a couple of hours after the start of E-Day until the early hours of the second day (which is approximately 60 hours due to the 28hr schedule in Sera) we will see the full power and total brutality of the Locust Horde, Grenadiers, Ravagers, Therons, Sword Therons, Ragers, Maulers, Kantus and i hope Zealots and other Tactic's Locusts, we will hear on civilian and COG radios about Karn's devastating attack on Gorasnaya and the COG's attempts to provide aid while responding to an attack on the same scale in the countries encompassing Tyrus, we will hear about the beasts from Ukkon taking entire cities and other creatures annihilating lifeboats, helicopters and civilian populations in congestion and above all to Raam at the head of the Horde after taking a COG Military Base.
So, knowing that Skorge served as High Priest of the Order of the Kantus thanks to RAAM and Myrrah, he probably attacked for a few hours healing Locust until he retreated and started managing his Order (which is why not even the COG Veterans knew of his existence until Gears of War 2) and that leaves us with another pair of important Locust: Vurl Jermad and Ketor Vrol.
On the one hand, Vrol looked like something old and delicate, but the model of him in Gears 5 shows him as an imposing Kantus, regardless of this we saw that the Locust do not necessarily have to be strong to impose, as this happens with Karn.
Vrol could have commanded an attack with his chants on some important base, calling hundreds of creatures from the Hollow to destroy cities without mercy and making it a key point for Skorge to learn to sing on that scale and thus harness his power to awaken and control the Riftworm, performing the Locust Horde's greatest feat since E-Day, and this may be where Ketor dies.
On the other side we have Vurl Jermad, the sniper and Lieutenant of RAAM, this Locust has the appearance of a Theron and we know that these enemies are to be feared.
I honestly think it would be a waste to kill Vurl so quickly, in my opinion he could play an important role being sent by RAAM to test himself, becoming an important head for the COG to cut and for the game to time-skip about 5 years and more campaign levels to see Jermad again, now bigger and wearing Black Theron Armor and a unique helmet, making him the Final Boss and then being able to kill him without problem, since in RAAM's Shadow this character doesn't appear and instead we have a Elite Theron who opts for close combat with a Sawed-Off Shotgun with blades, the complete opposite of Jermad's sniper nature.
If we want something personal, I would opt for a massive Boss Boomer, I would call him "Glutton" the Boomer, since Eat was the word that this Locust repeated the most because he consumed its enemies, in the past renegade locust and lost humans, now this Lieutenant with an outstanding intellect in contrast to the average Boomers is dedicated to brutally attacking the COG by himself armed with an War Club and a pair of chained pets that look like pale tarantulas with tentacles.
I think Skorge and Ukkon should be shown or mentioned in E-Day since both are second in command of the Locust Horde while RAAM remains their top dog
But how can we have a new Locust leader that could be a threat to Marcus and Dom on this horrific event that is happening throughout the planet Sera?
While we have yet to see a Gears of War game that sets in the Pendulum Wars, I’ve been wanting to see Emergency day ever since 2006. And I’m very excited for Gears of War: E-Day.
I was a bit worried the enemy types would be limited, but this video got rid of those worries. Dope breakdown of the the locust types.
Fingers crossed that the berserker segment from gears of war 1 returns. Obviously it can’t feature Marcus or Dom but maybe as part of a prologue with just regular gears as they have no idea on how to stop it, would be great for the horror element.

Personally I believe Kalona is a district of another city. A bit like how Halvo Bay in Judgement had districts. Seahorse Hills for example.
So it could be any of the cities within Tyrus. My bet is it’s a district of a city we’ve already seen, Ephyra, Halvo Bay or potentially Jannermont.

I still can’t believe there is a game that set during eday and not just reference it or a game set a month or a few months after eday. I can’t wait to play this game. I always wanted a game to be set during eday in game not just a book or a tv show but in a game. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do in the game when it comes out. Gears of war eday and call of duty black ops 6 is some of the games that I really want to play at the moment. Hopefully gears of war eday will hold us over until gears of war 6 comes out whenever gears of war 6 comes out that is. The gears of wars eday trailer gave me halo reach vibes.
If we also play as other charcters we still could get some locust variants and stick to the lore, like Baird with the berserker or theron guards.. he already knew them in gears 1

As much as I love learning what locust could appear in E-Day but there only three things got have a attention.
1: Were going to play as Marcus again, besides Master Chief and Commander Shepard the best solider in gameing history.
2: Dom is alive the best character in gears.
3: We'll get to see young Cole and Baird, and all the characters that died like maybe we will see or heard about Tai, Kim or A Carmine.
We gotta enjoy and make the most of these moments, especially when the game comes out. Always live in the moment and enjoy the game to the fullest.

I don’t think you mentioned the Tickers, they could definitely be in the game. Actually it’s possible to have Kantus and Theron guards in the game so long as Marcus or Dom never encounter them. Maybe in a separate cutscene or spin-off story like Raam’s Shadow.
Moving away from the locust i wonder how much of Adam Fenix we’ll get to have in GOW E-day. I’d love to see his reaction before & after E-day since he was the only one who knew it was coming.

Im not sure about the berserker scene though I feel like There's still enough wiggle room for the berserker to make sence. Also since marcus and dom haven't met cole or baird till way later then a possibility is that they may do a shared story. Two sides experiencing different threats like baird and cole encounter the Theron instead of Marcus and Dom.

I hope some kind of ground transport hollow creature is introduced. They don’t seem to have much in the way of troop transports other than gas barges and boats, so maybe they have some sort of creature who can carry a dozen or so grubs, but it was phased out as it became apparent just using e-holes behind enemy lines was more efficient
Idk i love the original trilogy but i would prefer a reboot. Gears of war without baird, cole, theron guards, or berserkers sounds off to me specially if they do sequels of the war before the events of the first game.

I think it would be amazing if they showed the enormous scale of the COG and locust with truly massive battles during the early days of the war. Then you mix is with intense horror segments.
I feel like there might some parts were Marcus and Dom might not have a gun and they gotta scavenge for weapons whilst trying to escape the city
I would like to see a designated Mortar Class of Drone. I also would like to a sort of LMG class of Drone, a middle ground between The Grinder and Troika, I'd like to see them introduce a gun similar in concept to the Claw LMG from "Gears 5".
I think they handled the big bads wrong honestly. They practically killed off all of the main villians too early imo.

I’d find it really cool if we got a different point of view (another squad) for one act where you play as a basic cog gear squad in a different city, and throughout this act you can actually face enemies such as the therons or hell even get to see locust like RAAM.
Baird knew what the Theron's were that leads me to believe that they were around prior, it' snot surprising if they wernt released everywhere as they were fighting the lambent, same could be said about the Kantas or really most of the locust you've said, so some could have been diverted to the ground invasion. :)
