Ive been binge watching dawsons creek on netflix loving every scene she is in.
I'm a huge katie holmes fan, she's such a nice person. Lover her
I love her voice so much!
She really looks upset talking about growing up in the public eye.
She was going through a really rough time I think with being in the public eye, especially with her young daughter. Her more recent interviews are a lot more like her early interviews, she's a lot more bubbly and confident which is great to see.
What can I say. Katie is a good person.

She's not so much like that any more though, this was in the midst of her marriage to Tom and she is a lot more relaxed and personable in her interviews now (and always was before Tom as well). I think a combination of being in the public eye and having every word she said scrutinised and reported on, and being dragged down by Scientology, had an effect on her and made her very cautious about what she spoke about and how she behaved. Whereas now she's more back to her usual self which is great.
the short hair really did her well.. brought out her confidence

Reading so many of these comments makes me sad for people who didn't know her (or at least know her as characters she played) before she was with Tom Cruise.
That haircut is not doing her ears any favors. But her smile is GORGEOUS.
But comparing this to old interviews...........something is missing. Some spark is gone.

She made it back out though, she's back to herself now for the most part, from what I can tell from interviews. Her recent interviews are a lot more bubbly and fun.

Definitely, dating with actors from old school Hollywood helps a lot to get some important chances in the Academy. That happened, for example, with Penelope Cruz: her success is 50% talent and 50% dating celebritites and being someone in the gossip culture....

Despite all the Katie-bashing and my respect for Maggie Gyllenhaal as an actress, I actually prefer Holmes' performance as Rachel Dawes.
I missed her in The Dark Knight and because she's more vulnerable and less cocky than the other one, you'd feel more tension as The Joker puts her jeopardy

She sounds exactly like a woman I know in my choir. She, also, looks very similar to her. It's weird to hear her laugh and see my friend from choir laughing.

wow she's really quite charming
For me, this is a classy and dignified woman. Plenty of people hated her in Batman Begins but I thought she was great in that role, so much so that I was kind of giving Maggie the side-eye through all of The Dark Knight, which I know isn't fair on my part.
Also, I must be dull or have low expectations or something because I don't understand why there are so many people saying she is boring. To each his or her own, I guess.

With all the success that The Dark Knight had, I bet she wishes she would have reprised her role.
She speaks/emulates Tom in her body movement, voice and storytelling. I find it a bit disconcerting. She didn't do that before.

You marry Tom Cruise and people stop wanting you on set because you're surrounded by a cloud of Scientologists? IDK. I can't explain Jack & Jill. I think she's purposely done smaller movies recently, maybe when her daughter is in college or whatever and she has a bit more time she'll get back into acting, I really hope she does, I miss her.
