it's so obvious grown women are critical of her bc she's literally the epitome of the male fantasy.. men want her and teenage girls aspire to be her but for the women in her age group that will never have what she has, they get jealous and project their insecurities.. megan didn't deserve any of the hate she got

in the film industry there are media codes used to create a visually presentable and believable portrayal of certain situations for example if there was a small kinda chubby brunette female being bullied the chances are the film have chosen a tall skinny attractive female to play the bully ..it may be shallow but it's audience expectations
I’ll never forget seeing Jennifer’s Body when I was fifteen and how her & the movie had such a major impact on me (and definitely made me finally go “okay, it’s true, I am 100% bisexual” lol). Really glad that she is receiving the respect & recognition that she’s always deserved. I just love her. Btw I don’t know what it is about the face she makes at 2:20 that makes me swoon. Kind of a blink & you’ll miss it moment.

A lot of actors, both male and female, get unwarranted criticism and vitriol spit at them when they are too good looking. People are just jealous of youth and beauty, and then on top of that success. It's too much for them to take. They don't want to give pretty actors a fair chance, in my opinion.
