I currently use my feet to hold the yarn and wind by hand, or place it over an upturned plastic laundry basket then use my handwinder. What fun!! I have asked my eldest son to build me a swift from his connex set, as I saw a video of one online once. Still waiting for that though....
Thanks for the review! Might look at it when my winder bits the dust! I have a similar swift as you have. I have had it for years and I like the style. It’s wonderful to hear your views on it. 🧶🧶💗💗
Thank you Ruth testing it out for us all. The only thing that is putting me off is it not hving centre pull. I always centre pull so the ball stays still. Xx
Thanks for the review and the discount code. I've been looking at these for a while because although my cheap 20-odd year old ball winder works fine, my back/arm is no longer able to take long winding sessions. So I've just treated myself ❤
Thank you for the honest review and I am currently putting off winding advent yarns as use an old plastic swift 😕 so will be investigating this company and great that your very special charity might get a little something in the process 😀
Thank you Ruth I’ve requested a swift for Christmas that sits on a table not one that needs screwing to the side as my table is far to deep with my existing winder fixed to a side table so don’t think I would have the right set up for an electric wind which is a shame 🤔🧐😕
Hello Ruth. I will pass the code onto a friend who loves knitting gadgets. I hope you make a bit of money for LAMB as it’s nice to get a recommendation you can trust. I always get into a terrible raffle using umbrella swifts and ball winders so I just use a simple Amish Swift and wind the ball by hand.😮
I did it again. That comment was actually meant to go on a different podcast where the knitters talked about adoption. You must have wondered where my comment came from!
Thank you, Ruth. Always helpful to get an honest review of a knitting tool.
Thank you for the review Ruth. Have a great day. 😊
Thanks so much Ruth, decided I “needed?” this, your code took the price down to $60 🇨🇦 Thanks again, love your podcast.
Hope it works well for you. Always nervous to recommend things.
Hello Ruth. Thanks for your review. Much appreciated.
Love your plain speaking and honest reviewing style x
Thanks for your review, Ruth....very helpful
Excellante Ruth. Thank you 🧶🧶

Great thorough review!
Thank you for the honest review. I’ve seen lots of ads and wondered if it worked well.
For the current price I think it is ok. Pros & cons like anything you buy x

Yeah same here. Although a viewer said it was possible by threading it through a notch on the bottom. I didn't test that.
@ oh that’s interesting 🤔. It is a good price for an electric one xx

The most important thing is getting what works for you. X
you can get a center pull if you put it through that hole at the bottom about a half inch and u will get a center pull
Good tip thanks x

If it's not broke don't fix it x
My 3 girls are 22; 23 and 24. Adopted half sisters (same birthmom.) We ❤ adoption.

Not another 16 minute add. The temu cheapy works just as well
As I said use whatever method you want. Just giving the information.
Excellante Ruth. Thank you 🧶🧶
