  • I was not sure how this recipe for homemade lunch meat would turn out, but it was epic! The turkey lunch meat slices were so flavorful and the whole process is so easy.
    Hardware I Used:
    Lunch Meat Maker: amzn.to/3I5LDWi
    Slicer: amzn.to/3SHLflJ
    RECIPE:
    1 pound ground turkey thigh
1/2 teaspoon each onion & garlic powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    Fresh black pepper
1 teaspoon dried herbs, like thyme and rosemary
Bring a pot of water to a bare simmer and make sure the water level comes almost to the top of the lunch meat canister.
In a large bowl, add the turkey meat, onion and garlic powder, salt, pepper, and mix very well with your hands. Spray the inside of the metal jar with avocado or olive oil, and sprinkle the dried herbs all around the inside of the canister.
Add the seasoned turkey meat and press it down with the remaining attachments from the metal canister. Place is simmering water, put a thermometer in the top, and cook until the internal temperature is 165F. It should take about one hour and twenty minutes. Don’t boil the water, it should be a bare simmer.
Once the meat is cooked, carefully take out of the water and allow to cool, this will take a while. Transfer to the fridge overnight.
Remove the top potion from the canister, run a knife around the edges, and shake out the turkey meat. Use a slicer or mandolin to slice the meat into thin pieces. Meat will keep in the fridge for 7 days. I don’t recooked d freezing, because it will affect the texture.

Living in rural Tennessee my whole life I grew up eating everything fried and bad. Stumble on your channel a few weeks ago and I’m a changed man. I’m on the plan along with my family. Thanks for all you do to educate people like myself who have no idea what we are actually eating.

      Well done @tndeere2 !
It is amazing how much better you can feel after a few weeks of clean eating. Your family may not yet understand the changes you've made, but I can promise you they will appreciate it in the future. I wish everyone could have the experience.

@@dianeatpeace337 At age 57 I am lucky I take zero meds. No blood pressure or cholesterol problems. How ever I am very active and in fair shape. I was a long time runner but to many aches and pains now to run just walk and lift weights now. But my diet has mostly been awful. After only a week or so I can tell I sleep much better and wake up feeling more rested.

I will definitely be trying this out. Oh and it’s definitely something I can have the grandkids help with 😊❤ Have a great week!

I have been making my own turkey for years, I purchased turkey London broil, it is the turkey breast of fresh turkey, I bake in the oven or 55 minutes at 375°. Season anyway you like, before baking, use your imagination to season. Let it cool, and slicing up. Delicious.

Thank you for sharing your method of making lunchmeat. I usually just cook the meat and slice it and make a sandwich. I like your way because it is thinly sliced like lunch meat from the grocery store, there are multiple combinations you can do your way. I am super interested in making my own to avoid high sodium products. This is healthier than the processed versions in the store, and I'm sure it tastes better. Healthy eating!

Hi Bobby, my sister has been following you for years. She absolutely loves you and your work. But I was skeptical…until yesterday. Your videos kept showing up on my FB reels so I figured I’d give it a shot and watch them. Bobby! I am SO thankful to have given you a chance! I love your cooking videos and your grocery hauls. I love how you take your time when cooking your recipes and I love all of your healthy food recommendations too. I am overjoyed to be going to Aldi’s next month on my next shopping trip. God bless you Bobby! Your videos and reels have blessed me beyond measure and it’s only been a couple of days since I’ve been really tuning in. Thanks again Bobby! 🛒

Hi Bobby , you know what’s so funny? You don’t get the sliced organic turkey at Costco down there. It’s been out of stock however, up here in Connecticut we always have it. What we don’t have is all the different Siete chips and flavors you get. We only get the plain ones and the cinnamon ones periodically. It’s never a main staple. Here’s what the cool thing is, I found that Thrive Market paleo cassava chips blow Siete out of the water. They are so stinkin good! Especially the Nacho flavor. They also have these news queso puffs!! Awesome stuff. I like the Siete puffs better than their flimsy chips 😅
