Good advice tips! I recently had started to get rid of several of my older clothes after buying some new ones. Had a bit of a weight loss, plus needed to get new clothes for the warmer months now here. Didn't realize how much of my wardrobe didn't fit properly anymore.. mostly because they were too big, and some now too small.
Congrats on the weight loss. I like what Jeff has said before, recommending that we go through our closets once a year and whatever things we haven't worn in the last year just let them go because we're probably not going to wear them again. You never know, those donated clothes could become a less fortunate guy's great outfit new to help him nail that big job interview.
Very informative video . As a bigger man I’ve also noticed that shirts with horizontal lines or stripes will make you look bigger than shirts with vertical lines .

I wear tank top under my t shirts it helps keep my belly from showing let’s my shirts look smooth but not baggy or tight !

If you want to wear suspenders with an untucked shirt, they make very soft elastic suspenders you can wear comfortably next to your skin. They even make "airport friendly" ones made with plastic clips.
V-neck/flannel with a tee underneath has worked a charm for me. Same for wearing black in general

Choose a cardio work you enjoy, cycling, running etc. Leg lift abs exercises (tighten that tummy)
Protien diet...plan based foods, eat more vegetables, drink loads more water, last meal 7PM.
Check your weight loss weekly.
Dance naked in front of the mirror when no one's looking once you see the weight falling off 😊

I don’t wear baby blue or pink tee shirts because they make me look bigger .Also, wear a compression shirt in the winter and a wife beater a size smaller when wearing casual wear, it shrinks u a bit. Thanks for all the advice Jeff. SALUTE!
I agree with you with the suit to be fit.... my clothes are more of a relax fit. I just can't wear the slim fit of that sort. Great video by the way

Braces are a great alternative to suspenders to keep pant up with a good lay on shoes.
I agree that you have to dress style for your body type and shape. That can be affected as well in the climate where you live at. I'm working on lowering that midsection stomach bulge in progress. But i find if you got a stomach bulge which does not look at well just wearing a tucked in shirt, you can layer it with a sports jacket, shirt jacket. It can also work if you have some shirts that skim your frame as an untucked shirt, that fits well and not too long. That all works well to cover your mid section and accentuate your entire frame and still look stylishly dressed. It works if your have the flexibility and versatility in layered outerwear.

I had my clothes tailored via online and they were experienced. They sent me 1 shirt and chinos, fit really well and gave the ok to send the rest I ordered. I normally used to wear really long sleeves, it took a while to adjust as their cut felt different but with my watch and accessories it made sense. Takes time to get out comfort zone, sometimes. All great advice. On the jean department i learned a long time ago that slim straight fit goes like a charm, skinny jeans or spray on jeans just are not cool and also are very uncomfortable. One of the most important things about style that The Style O. G. and other style specialists like him is that you have to be comfortable in what you wear, in other words, you don't have to suffer to look good lol.
I'm really grateful to guys like @The Style O. G. @Real Man Real Style @Teachingmensfashion and @Ben Arthur among others because I learned a lot of their videos and because of those teachings i was able to create a great, always in style and confortable wardrobe that made my life easier because when the components of the wardrobe are the right ones you don't have to think a lot about how to look great, because everything combines together with very little effort and also thanks to looking good and well groomed, my self steam (which always was an issue for me) grew a lot, and also got me motivated to start training to look even better and also be better in every aspect of my life and and be the man i always wanted to be. Maybe The Style O. G. will never read this but if you do then thanks 👍🏻 and keep up the great work.

For bigger guys(like me) it's important to not wear horizontal striped shirts. The lines visually add an unflattering emphasis on your mid-section.

You should also mentioned depending on how you dressed when I used to have a noticeable belly I wore vest with my suits... Kinda camouflaged it, plus I'm a vest guy...

Very good images. A note: Manufacturers leave a constant taper in all trouser lenghths. If you're stout like me ,and have a shorter leg length you need to put the taper right. The red and blue trousers show perfectly what you need. I do my own on the simplest seam, usually inside. No one has ever noticed my simple machine work. You can ask your wife but she will get fed up!

This is exactly what I needed. I'm a bigger guy too, I've been trying to lose weight but its very slow. Trying to be stylish as a bigger guy is more difficult. I like these tips, I wish I could tuck my shirt in because really nice but I gotta get rid of my belly first

Man you schooled me on how to hide this little gut I’ve gotten since surgery. Going to take me a minute to get it off.
List
1) don’t wear bigger clothes, clothes should be well fitted
2) don’t wear skinny jeans, wear slim or straight fit
3) don’t wear baggy jeans
4) don’t wear a tucked in shirt
5) have suits tailored, you can even have casual items tailored
6) don’t wear big prints, you can wear small prints
7) don’t wear to many layers
8) don’t wear tight clothing
9) don’t wear a belt
10) not carrying about style
Style can you advise on how to make my face look smaller? I keep hearing that I should button down my collar closing them in but doesn't that make my big face stand out by contrast?
@Delta Homicide. I sympathize, because the first thing that my Mother said when I was born was "Good God, he's got a head like a Hun", a statement that wasn't considered Racist in 1937, but simply the truth. When wearing a hat was fashionable the largest size Stetson would not fit.
The solution is to grow a full head of hair, then find an Old-school male Barber whose shop is frequented by well groomed men, and get him to style the haircut to flatter your features.
It's useless going to a female hairdresser because they are not trained to cut men's hair. But many of the top flight women's hairdressers are men, because they have been trained to cut both.
That's not a personal opinion, my wife was the Accountant for the premium supplier in Australia of Hairdresser supplies and I mixed socially with the top flight women's hairdressers, many of them being men, particularly those who won most of the awards.

Greetings from Beantown and great video OG! Maybe you can do one about brands that cater to the big fellas. For example, I have really big thighs from a lifetime of playing soccer and its harx to find bottoms that fit properly and the ones that do don't offer many choices in color...most of the good colors are all slim and skinny fit. Keep up the good work!

Great job as always. I'm not a big guy but have the pouch in my stomach. I think it's important to discuss wearing t-shirts properly, including the right fit. This goes for those with stomachs and bigger guys. Lol I think you have to have the right fit for your body and wearing the proper A shirt (or whatever under shirt) makes a difference to make on look "less fat."
Nice show og! When I buy clothes I don't shop my city, I go out of town, so I don't fit their ( norm) description, much less the m.o. and if you're uncomfortable being over weight, get over it or lose weight....real Women don't care what you wear, if you're all that and a rare Cognac, in etiquette!

I believe, not that you asked me😃, but I believe that is a choice that is made known by the client to the tailor. Tailors are likely going to alter or tailor your suit to your current specs unless you state otherwise. My apologies for offering my unsolicited answer. Unfortunately Ive never dated anyone that has needed a tailor 😅 but after watching several videos I sure it can get expense altering clothing due to over indulging in our favorite snacks. I used to wear my clothes several sizes too big growing up and it looks hideous. 😂 Being a generally fit guy who has a bit of a gut, I tend to favor wearing mostly mid-to-darker colored shirts and tees, as it visually slims you down.
